Just had a call from this number (again) the mans name was Joel lewis, tried telling me that I had got PPI with someone (which I have never had in my life nor do I wish to have a loan), the guy was very rude, called me a liar saying that I had given out my detials which I havent and I always read the little statements at the bottom of things. I will gladly go to manchester and hound their office, im going to put together a large complaint, asked the guy to take my details off the system he told me he didnt have the authority to do that?! so ill continue to get calls wtf?!?!?!

just had a call from this number and called them back.  They knew who I was!  I said that I'd had no loans in the last ten years and the chap seemed to lose interest.  I asked for my number to be deleted from their records.  We will see...........................

I received a call from this number with someone with a strong accent telling me I had been overcharged on a loan taken out over the past ten years and that they wanted to help me out.

When I replied that I hadn't had a loan and that I believed this to be a scam, the line went dead.  Why can't these people be stopped!

I just had a call from Claims Advisory Group, they said I could be intitled to money back from miss-sold insurance. They knew my address (which I have not long been at). The chap gave me their website address to check them and I found this forum - thank you. I will stay well clear and won't fill in the application pack they send. Sounded so genuine or am I just nieve??

This number just called me while I'm abroad so it has cost me to answer the call! I hung up when he told me where he was calling from. This is so annoying. I have no claim for anything.

I just recieved a call from this number too. They asked for me by name....I pretended that I was sum1 else and  that the person they wanted wasn't in.  I asked to take a message. They stated they were from some claims company do do with insurance. I would never be stupid enough to give my bank details over the phone or over the internet. Thanks to people on this site for the warnings.

These are really annoying guys, they called me first a few days ago, but I didn't understand the guy because he had a really weird indian accent. Since then they try to call me on every day. I'd better not pick up.

I have recently had 2 calls to my mobile from this number, on both occasions asking for my wife though she has her own mobile. They are a company that offer compensations for loans. I told them I am 62 and never had a loan , and nor has my wife. I told them to P**s off and not to call me again. Hopefully they get the message

Action Fraud Advice replies to Charlie
Action Fraud have the following advice on loan scam fees:

    1) http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/node/240

Loan scams happen when a victim is asked to pay an upfront fee for a loan.

A person will typically reply to an advert for a fast loan and will have their application approved regardless of their credit history. Before they receive the loan, they are told them must pay an upfront fee to cover insurance for the loan.

Once this fee is paid, the victim does not hear from the company again and the loan is never received.
Loan scams are a type of advance fee fraud.

Fraud has been committed when money has been lost.

If fraud has been committed, report it to Action Fraud.

People in debt conned out of cash in fake loan scam
National charity Citizens Advice is warning people to beware of companies offering fake loans for a fee. The companies often prey on people who are already in debt and desperate for a way out.
    Advice
Citizens Advice top tips on fake loans:
    • Never pay money up front
    • Never give out bank account details to cold callers
    • Be very wary of cold calls offering loans, and internet sites offering quick and easy credit
    • If it looks too good to be true it usually is
    • If you need credit, shop around, use a trusted source and always check the paperwork
    • If you’ve already paid money up front for a non-existent loan, inform Trading Standards (www.tradingstandards.gov.uk). The Consumer Credit Act says that all but £5 of any brokerage fees should be refunded if no loan is taken up within 6 months.

This number calls my mobile. Answered it once and they were offering to get back my 'mis sold' payment protection from my loan. Total load of rubbish because I have never had a loan!

If they call - or you see a missed call - then you can call them back on 0800 027 9744 from your landline and have chat with them, if you are so inclined.

At least then they are paying for the call and you can ask them about their policy of cold calling. They are based in Crewe and have been running since 2007, but are actually quite small.

Don't know the name of the CEO but if I find out I will let you guys know and we can all ask them to stop cold calling us.
