Just had a missed call about a claim apparently.

Asked me about a claim, when i asked who they were/ how they got my mobile no. said from a data base but it was a lie. told them to f----- off and put phone down, now know it was same company named above, claims proffessionals. scam company.

Deliberately missed this call which unfortunately I do now for every number I don't recognise, if they are trying to sell me something they never leave a message. Then googled the number, found this review, created a new entry on my phone added the number and entitled it 'bollocks' and set it to automatically go to voicemail so they never get through to me. I seem to have rather a collection of these now! :-/

In follow-up, I have just registered my mobile number and all our company numbers) with the Telephones Preference Service (TPS) http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html, this is a free service and is supposed to stop the majority of cold calls by opting out of direct marketing - firms are suppose to abide by this (we'll see!) but at least if I complain to the Information Commissioners Office (http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints.aspx) about a particular company I can add that I have opted out and they have ignored it!

I am going to start doing this now as I am thoroughly fed up of them - time to make a stand.

Had another call from 01616626517 tday 09/01/2013 at 12.02 pm. I was in afoul mood due to medication, told him to "GO AWAY" in different words, The trouble was the wife heard me and told me off for my language, oh dear.

Just got a call from this number on my work provided mobile, nice chap, very polite. Knew my name and number but fell into the usual "you could be owed £2500 in compensation" and then fished for information, before I gave any I fished for information of my own, he said they got my number from a data provider that i'd "opted in" to and the provider was called "Verve Media" and gave me the following number to contact them on: 01582 763090 a quick google search find them to be a "direct marketing" company in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. I haven't bothered contacting them but they might link to someone else? Unsurprisingly I answered "no" to his questions of have I had any finance in the last 10 years, which is true and he apologised and said he would remove my number and that they shouldn't have had my number in the first place

Got a call from a guy on this number.  The company is Claims Professionals.  He started on saying I was due a refund on PPI.  I asked him if he was embarrassed to be doing the job that he was doing because I would be.  I asked him if he was happy with his little life.  He didn't want to talk to me and hung up ... :-(

Got a call from this number earlier today.  Seemed to be a recorded message regarding PPI claimback.

I have never had a bank loan for anything, therefore have no PPI to claim.

This called rang me this moring and left no message. Did not recognise the number, therefore did not pick up - glad I never, an obvious spam.

Literally just had a call from Ashley, from Claims something or other. He said did I know I was due a refund? I said no, a refund from where? He sad any loans I've had in the last 10 years. I said I took one out last Jan, and he said 'oh not to worry about that one then Claire' and hung up.
1) The opening statement that I am due a refund from any loans I took out is completely redundant if he tells me not to worry about my loan, that I took out within the last 10 years.
2) How rude to hang up - what if I wanted to know why I wasn't due a refund because he just told me I was due one?
3) How did they get my number!?

I don't how how these people sleep at night. Tempted to ring back and yell down the phone but I bet they've set their lines up to charge extortionate amounts.

Just had a missed phone call from these people called the automated phone number from the above thread now they automated voice said it will be deleted as soon as possible

This company calls me every day on my home number and if i don't answer that they then keep ringing my mobile. If I pick the home phone up they hang up. On my mobile it's a voice message so I just hang up as soon as the message starts. This is getting so bad I've stopped answering my home phone and only answer my mobile when I know the number. Anyone know how i can stop them?

got 2 calls from this company it all sounds false to me prob bunch of crroks,and what gets me is some elderly person could fall for it and be scammed

i believe there is some sort of number that you can use to stop the calls,have to look it up.

I received a call from this number but did not answer as did not recognize number,
Glad I didnt now i realize what it was, too many of these calls coming through.

unsolicited call 6.38pm  Ask for me by name. Waited till we answered. Said from a claims company  clearly a call centre. Told them it was an illegal call. So they hung up

This guy sounded like he was chewing something and sounded surprised i answered, so as i work in tech support knew he had no training and was not being checked by supervisors, so then i interrupted to say i didn't want to make a claim and he carried on with his sentence, so i asked for him to "get lost" and hung up.

I rang the other number at the top of this thread and it seemed to delete my number from their system,

I saw O2 mentioned here...i am with O2.

just had a call of them 5 mins ago thenh silence on the other end
