Have had four cals from these now. I don't answer and they don't leave a voicemail - that's always a sign.

Dont bother speaking to them,
This is my way of dealing with them.
1. Do not answer phone to any dodgy numbers
2. Look up number on Google.
3. If it is listed here, save to the phone under the name CRAP.
4. In phone settings, send all calls from CRAP direct to answerphone.Most smart phones have this option.

You can save multiple numbers under one name, so you can filter many companies

received several unanswered calls who hang on long enough for voicemail then say nothing am i paying to listen to this and why are they calling. WHO ARE THEY.

Some one did speak to me from this number and said he was calling about my loans in the past 20 years.  I told him I have none.  How about the use of your credit card.  I told him I have no credit card.  Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the finance company.  I then said that I have had no loans in over 20 years and do not own a credit card.  I spend only what I have and no more.  He (the caller) thanked me for my time and ended the call.

They called me several times in one day and said they knew my full name and mobile number. They wanted my house address and bank details. Please help me to stop them from calling me

For historic reasons - I pay the bill - my wife's mobile-phone is registered in my name. The only people who would have thought it to be my phone - which I 've never used - is someone at the mobile phone company. Hmm?
Any way. She has received several calls from a caller asking for me. Hmm? Last time they called she told them I would not be available for 9 years, doing a prison sentence for GBH: as I'd found a person making annoying unsolicited calls.

Bogus TPS Calls
The Telephone Preference Service is completely free to consumers.

TPS will not call a subscriber of the service to ask for personal details or payment to complete a registration.

If you have registered via the web and have received an e-mail confirmation and clicked on the attached link, that's it! Your number will be registered for FREE with TPS.

We will not contact you again in relation to your registration (unless you have number(s) registered with the Corporate TPS, where we will contact you annually by email to renew your subscription - this is still a free service).

If you do receive a call from someone claiming to be from the TPS or a similar sounding organisation, asking for personal information or charging you for this service, our advice is to not pay or give them any personal details, it is most likely a scam.

We are aware of a number of organisations that call from overseas, possibly India claiming to be TPS or affiliated with TPS or BT. They ask for your credit card details to complete a registration to stop unwanted calls. They often claim that you previously gave your permission for this call. This is a scam. Never give out your credit card details over the phone.

All of the above are commercial organisations, all of which charge consumers for a service that is unregulated.

TPS is the only official Opt Out service that companies are required to abide by under the UK law and that is regulated by Ofcom and enforced by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

Got a call from this number no one spoke the call got cut off so I saved the number into my phone under the name A#####es and put it on my block call list

please stop calling me i'm not interested,where ever you got your information from is wrong i don't do loans ppi or contract mobile phone's so leave me the hell alone cheers.x

STOP CALLING ABOUT PPI OR OTHER CLAIMS. I HAVE NEVER HAD PPI AND DON'T KNOW WHY YOU THINK I HAVE

these pricks called me today knew my first name and started to talk about claims and ppi became very rude when told to f..k off

just called me for the 5th time today and told him to f---k off pretended to phone police you could hear him saying officer i have got a very offencive person on phone swearing at me i also carried on swearing at him i am a 75year old disabled lady and he had got cheek to so at least i have a job not sat on my [***] doing nothing like you at that i lost it and called him everthing going and he still carried on talking saying this is first time we hve called you at that i called him a lier because i have all the missed calls on my phone where do the get your number and address from he could tell me my full address it is a bit unerveing because i have had the phone bought me for christmas so that i can conntact daughter if i need her because of being on my own surely these calls are harrisment had phone christmas day and got 17 missed calls so finaly answered to tell them what i thought recond he could get me money back on my loan never in my life had one

Called on Tuesday of this week, phoned my mobile and asked for me by name.  I said that person wasn't in. They said they would get a colleague to phone me back.  I asked what it was in connection with and they said something about credit.  I turned my phone off as these calls will take money from your phone to pay for the call even if you don't answer and the phone goes onto answer phone.  I know this as it's happened before.  today I've just had seven missed calls and money has come off from the credit on my phone.
My phone will be switched off again.  These calls I can handle, I either hang up or say the person they want isn't in.  Taking money from my credit is something else.  They should use their own money to ring.

Websites like this are a god send.  I'm glad it's not just me who have the sense not to entertain this garbage.  I too had just had a missed call from this number (I lose count how many).  It's the constant hounding that eventually lead people to start doubting themselves to what was I have never taken out PPI to Or did I?? then think what have I got to lose..........
It's worth repeating the posting by Lisa above that If you want to have your details removed from their database call 0161 820 2718 it's automated and only takes a couple of seconds

They have called three times so far this week!
