This number call at least twice a day. At last someone spoke asking for the person who had our phone number 13 years ago(we where given it by BT 12 years ago)

Energy timewaster - had 2 calls (one silent) last year.

First time was early last wk I explained I was not interested and didn't want them to call back. Guy was ok. No apologies but said he would remove me from the system which is bs coz every day between 9 and 9.30am since I have had a morning call which is silent wether I answer or let it go onto voicemail and every day a call from same number mid afternoon which i hear loads of chatter in the background but no one talks to me.

Energy company, so they say.
I used to get quite angry about all these calls but now I just laugh, obviously these calls cost whoever it is money and as more and more of us become informed about these companies the less profit these people can make.
I try to keep them on the line as long as possible, then tell them they have called an order line, they soon hang up.
There just seems to be an endless line of companies who try this sort of thing.

As a previous poster mentioned, the telephone companies won't do anything about it as its all money to them, they probably make more money from one of these sort of companies than they do from 100 decent customers.
TPS is useless unless the company is legit, most are not.

Get them at my door three or four times a week also, I tell them if they were a decent company then they wouldn't need to phone or knock on your door to sell you something, about time they outlawed cold calling altogether.

When I receive a cold call and they as for me by name, I inform the caller that the person they are seeking is no longer on the number dialled as this was their old phone number. I then inform them that I have a new number for this person and recite a premium rate gay sex chatline number. I then block their number. Revenge is so sweet. Simples X

Took a call from "the energy cooperative"? enquiring about my heating system and boiler? Knew my name and the fact that I owned the house. I was polite and answered his initial questions as everyone needs a job and I wanted to be helpful. He then said he would pass my details on to someone else who would call me? I asked him not to pass my details on to anyone else as I was perfectly happy with the boiler and heating system I have. Before he hung up he said well when the system breaks down or the house blows up don't blame him! Tried calling the number 01698313017 but no dialling tone.

I get these calls from the same number several times daily on my landline. I am disabled and have a home alert system. When this number rings it causes a fault in my phone and interferes with my alert system to the point i cant use either ! I have to unplug at the wall to reset which is very difficult for me and sometimes imposdible which means i have no landline or alert. This is very distressing and frightening as i live alone. Today i am in tears and have been many times. I have only managed to barr this number today so we will see !! Can't take anymore !!

asked for my dad by surname and when i asked which of us he wanted to speak to he said the homeowner, when i asked which company he was calling from he just hung up. tried calling the number back but it doesnt work

Got a call from a woman who asked for me by name. Said she was from Energy Resource UK. I asked her if I had requested the call and she said no but they had offers I would be interested in. I told her the number was listed on TPS and she should p**s off.

I agree srongly with everyone who has had negative comments regarding this number !! In my post yesyerday i wtote about part of my experience. I also barred the number on my panasonic landline phone and a big hoorsy folks :-) !! NO calls from them today...So far ! Hopefully they have finally p****d off and will leave me the f**k alone !! Good luck to everyone in getting rid of these pests !!

Same number keeps calling most evenings asking for someone else, I keep telling them no one here by that name and never has been, fed up of it.  Several times have asked them to remove the number from their database but they never do it, seriously hacked off with them too

Fed up with these calls and the one from the Edinburgh number. I DONT WANT A FREAKING NEW BOILER. Stop calling 2 calls in 30 mins yesterday.

Call from 01698313017 today at 7:45pm. It went to my answerphone as I no longer answer calls generally due to the number of unwanted b*****y messages. I dialled 1471 afterwards to check who it was. I'm registered with TPS (a waste of time obviously).

TPS works with REPUTABLE UK-based sales & marketing firms. By default, your call is not from a reputable business - handy, that. And just imagine how many more calls we'd be whingeing about if they were abolished? Careful what you wish for.
