Raging...just been woken by a call from this number. Work all week, first chance of a little lie in and disrupted. Not only that, my gran is 93 lives on her own and this is the time her carers pop in. You can imagine, my stomach just done somersaults thinking the worse....bog off cold callers. Registered on TPS seems a bleeding waste of time....

Just had a run of scam phone calls including 01698313017. I think they are all linked. I get several in a day and then nothing for a week or two. They are dangerous as can only be after our money. Today this lady hang up on me. Yesterday on a with¬ held number a very rude posh gentleman insisted on knowing who I was and avoided answering me when I asked who he was. Can the police not discover who they are?

Some dour scot asked me if I was the home owner. I said no. He hung up without another word. If he happens to be reading this - or his line manager is reading, take note. At least try to sound hopeful and cheerful. Why would I want to buy something from a company that it sounds like you obviously loathe working for?

Get a call more or less every day from this number. When I answer no one speaks. I then hang up. Wouldn't be so bad if this was the only bogus call I get, but I can get up to 3 a day on my landline and mobile from other ones.
I have an elderly sick mother, so I need to answer all calls.
My advice. Ignore them.

This sounds very like a Company from Airdrie called GREEN DEAL ENERGY who tried it on with me last year, very plausible sounding staff but in he end was a scam to the tune of £149.99. Luckily I got my money refunded through my credit card company but there were many many more on here who reported their number that lost their money. Not saying it is the same company but it is from the same area and phone area code. The person behind that scheme was a guy called Stephen Hughes, if you are called it might be worth asking who the boss is. Beware.

Tps covers ALL unsolicited calls so she is covered, scheme or sales it is a marketing call and unless personal then tps is supposed to stop this. Doesn't though. If we are registered with tps it should stop them completing a call to a registered number that would be great!

One of 4 calls stupid nuisance calls between 10-12 today. Didn't leave a msg. Screen everything through voicemail and this is with tps, caller display and blocking in place! Hate cold callers!

3 Calls in the space of 2 hours from this number, they just hung up on the last call and left no message on answer machine,tried to call number back and was informed there was fault with the line and did not get through.

Harrasment by this number

Had first call from 01698313017 just before 12 noon today, but reading this thread, I recognise several other numbers so thanks for posting the list.  I too have a BT8500 and it's bliss. A bit of a hassle for some people (like carers from the local Council who always have number withheld but they soon got used to it and went through the announced call system.

As to where these rogues get their information from, well, I noticed a vast increase in calls (from genuine firms) after contacting the home energy advice line. Could they have got hold of people's details from some such source?

i put the phone on the counter so maybe at least they end up using up some of their call cost ... but these calls are becoming earlier and earlier and I know two sets of elderly whose lives are really disrupted by them - to the point it caused a very sad family problem. I thought these were to be made illegal.
someone is obviously making a lot of money out of this but again in the recent budget I see they pulled money for energy saving so here's hoping
