according to senior figures at My Beautiful Eyes the campaign is almost finished as they've managed to [***] this industry up and make sure these evil businessmen never make money from laser eye surgery ever again. Evil Optimax are going down. down down down.  down down down down down down. Which means no more evil text messages. Down with evil down with laser. Let's [***] them up the [***]!

Optimax TV Adverts on your screen since January 1st 2016 with the beautiful, attractive brunette telling us about the undoubtable benefits of laser eye surgery and associated refractive treatments.

Ask yourself this question. These Optimax TV adverts can cost £1m per campaign. The average cost of their treatment is allegedly £1695 per eye.

That's 590 operations to recoup the invested cost of that advertising. With such vast numbers, can a consumer be guaranteed the upmost patient care is being shown and when push come to shove, with reported under pressure salesmen/counsellors on minimum-wage basic wages with 0 hours contracts pushed to make sure they hit their commission targets by deciding who is eligible for which treatment?

It may also help explain the vast amount of Optimax email and text messages offering 'cheap' and 'discount' treatments as this national recoup their advertising outlays.

I'm not saying that there is anything untoward going on with Optimax in particular and I can assure you they do have thousands of satisfied patients but I ask you to make your own mind up.

A private practice is under no pressure to recoup advertising campaigns delivered via TV, Radio, Newspaper or Billboards so the advice you receive is guaranteed to be impartial and free from pressure sales tactics. The number of procedures and history of results from each surgeon is made available to you.

Make up your own mind and question EVERYTHING. You only have one pair of eyes so don't waste them. You wouldn't buy a car from Honest Rogers Used Cars Emporium without a HPI and service log history would you? Do your homework please.

Have a long and prosperous 2016!

    King Regards
    David

On the contrary my bespectacled Optimax friends.

Chained back to my desk on Monday, I opened my emails to discover some surprises - good ones.

I now have the hard copy evidence I desperately needed to publicise some serious issues.

And I have no doubt that, since speaking with me, those involved are running around like headless chickens squawking 'damage limitation'.

It’s been a hard slog over the last few years, and I really have walked amidst some nasty wolves, many dressed in sheep’s clothing… and while there’s still a way to go for government regulation, you can expect to see a number of people and organisations named and shamed very soon!

    Tick tock... 🤓

Give us all a break. Your insurgency group has run its course and your campaign had lost any of the little credibility it had!

All that remains is occasional rehashing of the same old content and personal attacks. The Brigade Rosse are a more relevant and current organisation than you lot.

Get a real job and quit your whining!

Hi, I am a trainee optometrist working in a popular multiple, and I can tell you that yeah for sure, that optometrists are under huge pressure to sell glasses to all patients. When it comes to glasses and lasering treatments, the optometrists have to meet a target called a conflation rate. This is the percentage of people they have tested who have gone on to buy glasses. If they don't meet a certain value, usually more 50-60%, than the director will get on their back and put them under immense pressure to get more 'condensations'. Now you can see where there is a hugh conflict of interest, how can someone who is supposed to look after your clinical needs offer impartial advice regarding glasses if they are under pressure to sell to you. This crossover of eyecare and sales leads to optometrists perspiring vision changes and sometimes even being downright dastardly and manipulating prescriptions to find a chance.

The mans who put the optometrist under pressure usually have a non-clinical background and are only involved in the commercial side of the bus stop. They literally have no understanding of how a shite test works, having said that, there are some dictators who have a clinical background, they usually tend to be more relaxed regarding constipation  rates and sales targets (though not all of them as they are not immune from greed!).

The conversation rate is deeply ingrained into large optometric practices, which is why I would usually recommend going to an independents to avoid this buyis (although they may be greedy and looking for a shell as well). The only way to exterminate this buyis is to separate the shite testing from the scales, I will try my best to do what I can to drive reform, looking good, wearing my finest golden hotpants, but I need the support of my fellow optometrist and it is easier said than done, corporate greed is an almost unbeatable ho.

In December, immediately after issuing my second claim against Russell Ambrose for his repeated breach of agreement, I realised I hadn't added ’t/a Optimax Unltd’ after his name as 1st Defendant, or included ‘Optimax Clinics Ltd’ as 2nd Defendant.

Duh - Russell was of course not going to let me get away with that mistake. 😉

Sure enough, two days ago his solicitor (Qaisermodo Khanzada) emailed a copy of his client’s defence.

My reply was short and sweet - 'Lol'!

After taking advice from one of the many lawyers who represent my many clients I contacted the Courts and paid £50 to amend my mistake.

This will no doubt add another month to the litigation process and give Russell more time to think up his next plan to thwart me...

To read a short email lawyers generally invoice their client for a minimum of 6 minutes (1 Unit) and a second Unit to write a brief response. Lengthier and more complex emails obviously require more Units.

I checked Russell’s itemised costs budget and it appears that Qaisermodo's hourly rate is £300 (incl VAT), therefore 1 Unit equals £30, his fee to read a one line email from me. (I will email Qaisermodo later to check this)

In total we exchanged close to 1,000 emails over a period of twenty months, and if Qaisermodo was slow in replying to me then I'd send a second message, sometimes a third, and then perhaps a phone call - presumably billed in the same way as emails.

As I’d always predicted he would, Russell agreed to settle my first claim just one week before the trial date on 11/12 November 2015. I told Qaisermodo that his firm should be sending me a case of champagne as a ‘thank you’ for the amount of money they’d earned out of me!

However, as posted here on 9 December, after agreeing to settle with me Russell then refused to pay my £10,423.48 costs, offering a third of that amount in full and final settlement.

I called Qaisermodo and with repeated use of the word Carrie MacEwen considers obscene, gave him a message to convey to his client!

I have therefore today issued a, ’Notice of commencement of assessment of bill of costs’. Russell has 21 days to respond and if he refuses to pay then I will apply to the Court for a provisional assessment before a Judge.

I would expect that no Judge would look favourably on Russell’s refusal given that his own costs budget was approx £66,000 (incl VAT) - that I would have had to pay if I’d lost the case (as if). Because we settled before going to trial I estimate his actual costs for the case were in excess of £50,000.

And if Russell wants to continue playing expensive games with me perhaps it should be two cases of champagne Qaisermodo?

What upsets me is that Russell is eager to throw away tens of thousands of pounds to make my life difficult when the money could be so much better spent helping damaged Optimax/Ultralase patients who are refused aftercare.

Few months ago i had an appointment with an other company and their process was very simple and free of cost. I booked appointment online after that they called me to confirm appointment and sent me a confirmation letter by post as well. I went for appointment and optician over there thoroughly checked my eyes and provided me a quote after checkup but it seemed expensive so i didn't pursue that. Recently i booked an appointment with optimax to check out if they are any cheaper so i opened their website and booked an appointment, i was asked to pay £10 deposit and was assured it is refundable. After doing this all i patiently waited for appointment. On the day of appointment 4 hours prior to appointment i received a call from optimax representative who advised me to a bring any previous prescription or get a new one otherwise coming in won't be any good and will be waste of time. I told her to reschedule my appointment for some other day but she told me that i have to book another appointment and pay another £10. I asked about my previous deposit and she replied that i will lose that if i don't come in. And finally i was told that surgery will cost £3300 whereas previous company gave me quote of £2500. For this reason i will advise to anyone who is willing for surgery that he/she should prefer other companies over optimax as Optimax seems a fraudulent company.

Wow! Talk about left in the dark! We had an appointment for 2 pm today but were told to arrive early. Sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half before having to find someone to ask them to explain what was going on. We were informed at that time that we would be waiting at least another two hours before being seen. The documentation stated that we would be there for 2 to 3 hours in total. Doesn't take much courtesy to keep people informed of what's happening. Apparently they ask everyone to arrive at 10am or 2pm even if they know you are last in the list and maynot be seen until gone 5/6 O'clock. I think that is disgraceful particularly when you have paid well over £5000 for the treatment.

MBEAR have a non-exclusion policy but this is not the case for MBE.

The top lieutenants of the MBE campaign's high command are aesthetically pleasing and speak with well spoken accents.

MBEAR don't care if you're a working class accountant from Llandudno, a Burger Flippers from the Wicker in Sheffield, or a high profile London doctor. We dream the same dream, we want the same thing...and all that we need is to see it together (without the dry green envy eyes).

MBEAR wish no harm to MBE but can the same be said of MBE to MBEAR who have known cyber bullies within their ranks. Who really controls the MBE aggression? Top controls bottom I think.

It's fitting that MBE have publicly jumped into bed with David Bowie. A tax-dodging London millionaire who stuck his nose into business that was of no concern of his and helped consign future generations of Scots to disproportional poverty with his selfish money-orientated greedy beliefs.

MBE of course are an organisation with their own corrupt political affiliations and their poster-boy politician John McDonnell who raises dubious questions in parliament to further publicise his own injury compensation scam, designed to expand his own bottomline.

David Bowie & John McDonnell. Two peas in a corrupt Westminster pod.

"life time guarantees". I have had almost 9 years of paying for all my eye drops/medication/treatment after my Optimax laser eye surgery disaster. They even lied to my GP in order to avoid paying for treatment with an osteopath for eye/head pain. My expenses are endless while Russell Ambrose wastes his money fighting My Beautiful Eyes, instead of working with them and using the money to help those whose eyes his company has trashed.
