Have just had a missed call from this number - busy when I tried to call back.  Delighted to find this site.  I am now going to phone Eircom to get my number removed from their call list.

More of the same here.  Have had an Eircom phone line in order to get broadband for over 18 months and i only plugged a phone into it for the first time last week.
Only one person has the phone number and I have been missing 2 to 3 phone calls a day from 01-8920400 number since I started using my phone.

Got a calls from this number 892 0400 and alot of with held number calls, answering machine clicks in but they don't leave a message. The government should do something about this. I am sick asking to be removed from cold callers lists. I have an unlisted number but I still get these calls. Government needs to look out for the public interest not always looking after big business and letting them do what they want.

I've had numerous calls from 8920400 and some withheld over the past few days. Today they started calling my mobile! sick of it.

If this phone number is from Eircom they are going to get the biggest earfull from me tonight! I HATE THEM!!!  I moved from them to BT about a year ago after being lied to from one of their "Sales Reps" She told me I would have broadband within six weeks, six weeks later I rang to be told that it could be 6 months before it's even in my area. ggrr. Talk about lying to get your commission"

God help whoever answers the phone to me later on tonight!

Who called from this number..is it an organisation or prank call....

eircom just called me on this no 018920400, so as of today they are still up to old tricks

Like everyone else I have ben getting these calls and I'm just off the phone with Eircom and they're saying it is my house alarm ringing me.  I do have a monitored alarm that rings me when the alarm goes off but the alarm hasn't gone off in weeks and i haven't got a call from my house.

Stop calling!!!!

I have received calls from this number every morning. i am sick of these calls. can't get through to anyone about this. can someone please help.

getting a lot of calls from 018920400 and have called eircom also spoke to the garda today and have been told to make a list of the times .the calls come at received another one today at 12.05 and a one from a withheld no at 10.20am

I've also been receiving frequent cals from this number. Usually engaged when I've called back. Once got a voice message saying I'm out ofthe office now but not identifying either the individual or their company. If this is Eircom it is a disgrace.

I received a missed call from this number yesterday. Glad to know I'm not the only one. Hopefully if we all complain to comreg it should stop.

Got call this morning again at 11.04, tried to ring back but engaged. Has not happened since January so looks like they are on again.

Received a call from this number on my eircom business line at 4pm today -- no one there when I answered, and they hung up

unknown caller ..and unable to ring back.

Have had a few private calls the last couple of days. And then this number showed up. Called Eircom. It is THEIR number (the woman admitted it). From this group here, it looks like marketing, but elsewhere, I have read it is Eircom testing (pinging) the lines for suitability of Broadband connectivity. (as of now and as the woman said, Eircom are rolling out next generation broadband)

I explained to the girl that I have broadband, and IF THEY ARE GENUINE pings/tests, then I don't mind. I am ex-directory and opted out of marketing calls.

I have had a call after speaking to Eircom, about 10 mins ago (Private number). Having found this site, I'm now sceptical and am thinking, it is aggressive marketing tactics. I have listed the times of the calls.

Its really starting to irritate me. My mobile phone has a feature to automatically reject private numbers so my phone never rings. I am now reading the manual to my home phone to see is there a similar feature. FFS!

Three missed calls from this number on three consecutive days, called Eircom and was told this is their number and they're testing the phonelines for broadband suitability. I live in co. Galway in an area where Eircom hasn't brought out their broadband yet so am inclined to believe their explanation, but you'd think they'd let people know they're going to be doing this rather than just ring and leave it be

Thanks guys!  I've been driven crazy by these missed calls lately.  So, just off the phone to eircom to get myself removed from their marketing list.  I'm ex-directory so I shouldn't be on it anyway!
