They hit me this week. I had issues with Eircom marketing calls Sept of last year. Rang Eircom customer support who confirmed it was their number and suggested I answer the calls and tell them to stop, do Eircom dept not talk to each other? Confirmed I was not on their marketing lists, I was not. Tired of all this, cancelling my account and contacting Gardai, ComReg and my solicitor, in that order

I had a missed call this afternoon from 01 8920400 - tried to call it back but got a busy tone, read the above posts but I am neither an eircom or vodafone customer so I'm not sure why they would be calling me.

been getting private numbers for the last 2months and this no. now. every time i picked up nothing.. so at least i know what it is now :/

I've reported this number to Eircom (1901) as I've had to with several different 5 digit
numbers calling non stop. Eircom can stop this number calling you.

Go through the automated system options and when you mention 'fault report' and
this number you will be put on to a service representative as soon as possible
(just a few minutes - its worth it) and explain the problem.
Eircom have said that this particular number may be a digitised number coming up on
phones incorrectly.
The other different 5 digit numbers were from foreign call centres. The calls were made
apparently just to record calling any number.

Got a call of them today. seems to be something to do with Meteor. They were meant to ring me back with a nice iPhone offer. Very strange call. I was in Meteor at the time. buying the phone. This call came through i excused myself and took the call. It was Meteor, offering me an iPhone on same price plan but with 3 months free, so i said, well i'm about to buy one but i'll take that instead. (save 180 quid, felt sorry for the sales assistant who had his commission spent already in his head). So next thing the chap on the phone says, that offer was valid til last week actually so i'll just go and check with the boss and ring ya back in 10 minutes - 2 hours ago. Trying to ring customer care now to see what is going on

Got a call from this number this evening at 8.03pm.  Rang the 1800 207 407 number to get taken off the list.  The guy said I'd have to call Eircom back in the morning on 1901 to tell them I don't want to receive any calls from Eircom.  How ridiculous.  Why couldn't they record my request now !!

Now ye all know how Eircom spend our money!

We have have just started to receive these calls- interestingly, after switching from Eircom to Vodaphone...! We ignored them, but mystery now solved! Thanks to all.

Just got a call from 01 8920400. They didn't leave a message. I have told on so many occasions that I'm never going back to Eircom. Will they never learn?

numerous calls from a witheld number when i dont answer this number starst ringing me. switched to vodafone a year ago

keeps calling at night from this number when i ring back it is engaged

This number is allocated to Eircom Dublin.

I wonder if this has being going on between 2010 and now? I've had a few calls to my mobile from blocked number over the last couple of weeks and yesterday a missed call from 018920400.
Did anyone get to the bottom of who was making these calls? Was it Eircom?

Got a call from this number last night.  Slightly disconcerting as there was a strange static sound when I answered it in some ways similar to be a server of some sort.  Tried to call it back to no avail.  Great to know that other people are getting calls from this number and that it is probably only an Eircom marketing number.  If it happens again I can de-list.
