Said I could for non exiatent over charging from my bank. AS IF I AM DAFT ENOUGH TO GIVE COLD CALLERS MY DETAILS.  Them getting my phone number is bad enough.  That was my 153rd cold call tgis year.  They left me alone in May, only had 2 calls in May.  I wish their phones were cut off.  It's been suggested that I change my number, but I bet inside a week they would be calling,  GET LOST ALL OF YOU CALLERS.

Two calls from this number claiming I am owed money. Informed them, if this was true I would see to it myself.

got a nuisance call from 01924215367. sick of these people. my number is supposed to be ex directory.

This number rang me today 02/01/14, they told me the bank owed me money. They told me my address card number and wanted me to verify the last three numbers on the back of my card, I hung up, they called straight back, I told them I'd cancelled my card and they hung up.

i had a call from a woman  at 18:17 saying she was calling from Microsoft windows she wanted to know if i was aware that someone in Manchester was using my ip  i said no, she said well someone  must be trying to hack my ip  and might be using it for criminal purposes and any crime being done on my ip will be traced back to me, what she wanted me to do was switch my comp on and she would help me change some setting, she also asked if i use internet banking, so what i think they must be doing now is with your help gain access into ur comp by you helping them and stealing all ur passwords and sensitive info, i don't no much about pc tech stuff and i can understand that some people could fall for this scam i nearly did, phew, i didn't i asked for her name and number to get someone who knows about comps to call her back but she hung up but she didn't withhold her number.  also they knew my name full address and phone number, where are they getting this info from

Same as other calls, I told him I knew it was a scam and hung up.

Called from this number at 9.55am on a Saturday morning, I picked up, gave the usual five seconds for the caller to say something (i.e. prove not computer generated) and then put 'phone down again. I'm with the TPS but for all they are worth I may as well not be - during the week I let the answerphone take all the calls due to the number of time wasting nuisance calls I get - trouble is one of my dogs howls in 'tune' with the ring tone - very annoying!!!

Ought to add, having read other comments, that last year got other silent calls from a company (possibly the same one) claiming that my Windows operating system had been hacked and actually spoke to them at one stage - thoroughly enjoyed having a long conversation with them before telling them I use a Mac! If you get bored and want to play with them it vents the frustration much more effectively than giving them a load of expletives because you remain in control.

Appeared to have called using a war-dialling machine.  Obviously a call-centre.  When asked who was calling, he identified himself George, and had what sounded like an Indian accent.  Claimed to be calling in relation to a refund from my bank.  When asked which bank this was, he hungup.  Unquestionably a scam.

Received a call from 01924215367, caller sounded Asian but claimed to be called George.

The call was regarding the refund of undeclared bank charges, caller started by asking me to confirm my name and address which he told me, I queried which charges he was referring to and he said just various bank charges which had not been shown on my statements. When he asked for my date of birth, I asked him which bank he was calling about, the line went quiet, then he hung up.

A scam I presume!

I've had lots of missed calls from this number and no message left. Finally answered it this morning and got the same script as lots of others re refund of bank charges. I told them I would claim back any charges from my bank if they were due, asked them not to call again then hung up. IT'S A TOTAL SCAM AND I HOPE NO ONE IS STILL FALLING FOR IT!!!!!

Claimed that they had a cheque for me from my bank. Needed to check my bank number so they could check that I am the correct person to receive the cheque.

Called this morning from this number. When I said that David.......... did not live here, he called me a liar several times and eventually hung up. Indian sounding but did not bother to give me the sales pitch so I do not know what the call was about. 01924215367

09-01-14 Second call in as many days... Caller says nothing then hangs up.

Called today but when asked to repeat who they were from they hung up

Phoned  today a total scam, beware of this idiot

I too had a call from an Asian sounding man said he was from UK Financial Services that he had a cheque for me from my bank for charges over last 6 years (I don't have any).  Said he was acting on behalf of ministry of justice asked to confirm my bank card number.  When I refused and said I was ringing my bank to confirm he got quite aggressive said he knew the 1st 4 digits of my bank card.

My bank told me EVERY customer has the same 4 digits
then whatever.  they were very helpful told me not to worry I did the right thing ringing them NEVER give your number it's definitely a scam.

Same guys using the same number but with international area code prefix (001441924215367) , called here, so there is a new thread with the extended number.

UK area code 01924 covers Wakefield in West Yorkshire and areas using 01924 numbers include Batley, Bretton, Crofton, Dewsbury, Flockton, Heckmondwike, Horbury, Lofthouse Gate, Mirfield, Normanton and Sandal - so not Eastbourne perhaps.

Rather than let them upset me I let the answer phone get ANY number I don't recognise - woman's voice said 'hello' then hung up

Just received a call from this number from a foreign guy who told my about the bank charges cheque waiting for me, he knew my house number and postcode. He then asked me who my main bank was so I gave him a totally different bank name which he seemed to know wasn't who I banked with, he told me that it was in my best interest to give me the correct details and asked for my date of birth which I didn't give. He was really polite and said that this was a genuine call and there was nothing amiss, I advised him I would go and speak to my bank on Monday, scary the information they seem to know but do not give them what they ask for!!
