i had this call at 19. 10 I did not answer i think they are onlyafter your money

I had a call from this number today from someone claiming to be from Computer Enclave.  After toying with him for a while he asked me to type "eventvwr" in Run. Silly me I typed it into Google instead! Guess what?  The internet is full of scams like this.

Had a call today from this number and was asked to switch on my computer to let them rectify any faults. Being suspicious I told them I would contact my  own engineer and hung up. Glad I did.

Just got a call from this number this evening, I answered, there was silence on the line then it disconnected, I did 1471 and got the number but did not bother calling it back.

Just had a call from this no. at 13.29. Heard a womans voice,then clicking,before she rang off.Who is it.

Called today did not answer in time, must still be calling people.

My wife had a call from this number today - an Indian-sounding chap, asking for someone who lived at this address (who may have been my sister, but not quite accurate in their naming). Was very aggressive, would not consider that they had the name wrong, asked a lot of questions about whether we had computers, and said that we had issues with our upload speed on Windows 7. The funny thing being, that we don't even use Windows.

We are on TPS, and have also rung out telephone provider, who could offer us a call-barring service at a cost of £2.50 per month.

Just had a call from this number at 9.30pm! The guy apparantly called Lee Williams said he was calling from AutoClick Repairs and that he had to call me so late because it was an emergancy! He said he knew I was using windows Vista and that there were extreme problems with it. When I said I wasn't interested he said I had a sweet voice and would break his heart, I informed him that I was sure he would get over it and hung up! DO NOT call the number back, apparently it can cost a fortune even if it tells you that the number isn't in use, obviously a complete scam!!!

Contacted BT  They put a block on that number for 12 months. Was told to renue the block after 12 months. www.ukdatait.co.uk

I got a phone call from this number from an asia sounding man saying that he wanted to check that my computer was running at proper speed and had not picked up any viruses. I asked for his phone number and he gave me 02033185211 but my handset registered 019476632176

Had about 14 calls from the above phone number! Seems to know my name and address.  The indian man says he is from a support centre working with microsoft and is calling to help me speed up my computer.  Almost fell for it when he caught me on at a bad moment and now wont stop ringing.  Sometimes his number is with held and other times displayed.

Just had call from 019476632176 asking questions such as Windows operating systems (mainly vista) and going through event viewer.
Whilst he was on ( he appeared to be of Asian origin), saying he was from Global Computers, I called local computer repair shop to ask if they had heard of this before and was told to not give any info at all. It is a scam trying to take control of computer to download lots of nasties.

have had numerous calls from this number - indian person who could hardly speak english - always the same thing stating there is a problem with windows running slow and possibly crashing and i should log on to my computer for them to help solve this problem, when challenged as to who they are and where they have obtained information from re my computer running slow, they could never give any clear answers just stating they were a computer company, at times they became rude, it is obvious this appears to be a scam, but they are persistent and keep ringing back

just had a call they knew my name.its was an indian guy and its was from a busy office listening to the noise in the background and he said i'm calling about your computer problem.
i said what problem i fix computers so i aint got a problem.
he hung up
..ffs TPS is chit i been with that for yrs.and i get all sorts of crap.i won a cruise i won a holiday etc etc.
who are these con merchants.there just scamming ppl that don't know about this stuff.
people don't tell any cold caller anything not matter what they say.good people and good businesses dont cold call you.BEWARE

got a call from this number i answered but there was no answer the other end, they hung up i tried calling back but the message reads no longer in service...strange, internet say's this code is whitby

got an asian sounding guy claiming he was called Gary Davies and had called me because I was using Microsoft. He knew my name. I just do what I usually do and put the phone down by the radio for a  while.

Took a call from this number at 9pm on 18th march 2010.  He was indian and said I was sat in front of my computer (spooky) and that there was a problem with Windows 7.  He did mention click (I didnot know what that was).  I got annoyed with him for calling so late and said I was a member of TPS and told him to go away and hung up on him.  Was very suspicious.

This number came up on our display of numbers called while we were out but no message left!

I also got a call from the same number yesterday. The caller first rang my husband (because I was out) and told him that I had phoned to say my pc was running slow. My husband didn't know anything about this so told the guy to ring back. He did ring back about an hour later and I spoke to him. I could hardly understand him and he was obviously from the Indian continent somewhere. He got a bit shirty when I told him there was nothing wrong with my pc and that I hadn't reported anything to anyone. I couldn't even understand the firm he said he was calling from. In the end I just hung up as I'd read about these scams before.
We subscribe to the TPS so I'd love to know how he got our number!!
What a good job my husband hasn't a clue about computers so therefore couldn't go and switch mine on.
This guy was telling me that something could be wrong with my computer that I wasn't aware of............that's when the bells started to ring.
So.........all of you out there...............BE AWARE!!

My turn today.  I'm also on TPS.  My number is in the directory but I don't give it to any commercial companies..... except the bank.  The South Asian guy told me he wanted to check my computer for Windows problems and that he had got my number from his company database.  That last bit may be true, of course, but illegal (if he is in the UK) or unethical (if not).  I was amused as last time I bought Windows, it was Windows 95 and I do not run Windows on my computer.  Not that I told him that.  I just asked him what computer he was talking about, which gave him a problem and threw him off script!

If they keep on phoning it would be harrassment.  Tell the police.
