- WV16 6AZ replies to Lacey is so dumb| 1 replyThe fact that the WV16 6AZ postcode is being used is indeed curious. What with the domain registration debacle posted above and this it points to a lack of attention to detail. I wouldn't wish to engage with an organisation which displays this trait let alone sign an agreement with them.

Everything Everywhere distributor Mainline has acquired b2b dealer The Bottom Line and renamed it Mobilise Telecoms.
The deal, which was signed last week, sees the business and assets of the Mainline dealer transferred into Mobilise Telecoms.
The distributor said the company, which deals in Orange and T-Mobile connections, will be run ‘at arms length’ from Mainline. Companies House records show that the directors of the new company are Mainline MD Andrew Boden, Mainline founder David Boden, Mainline financial and commercial director Stephen Chandler and The Bottom Line MD Ross Gale.
Gale was formerly MD of Stoke-on-Trent-based mobile dealership Move Your Mobile and is listed as a director of ‘The Move Group of Companies’.
The Bottom Line (GB) Ltd, which is based in Crewe, was set up in 2003. In a statement, Mainline MD Andrew Boden (pictured) said: ‘This acquisition was commercially compelling. It means we have a ready-made standalone vehicle through which we can retain, and provide high levels of service to, The Bottom Line’s sizeable customer base.
‘This operation is owned by Mainline, but will be managed at arm’s length to focus on ensuring Everything Everywhere customers of The Bottom Line remain with the network.
‘We envisage the remit of the business will be all about providing excellent customer service and, in taking on the existing The Bottom Line team, the business will be well-placed to do just that.’
Mainline insisted the new company would not compete against other Mainline dealers. It said the creation of Mobilise Telecoms ‘is expected to benefit Mainline’s dealers, as it takes a major b2b competitor out of their market’.
The company added: ‘Mobilise Telecoms will not compete for new customers where a Mainline dealer is also selling to the prospective customer. If it learns of a Mainline dealer’s involvement during a negotiation, the business will withdraw from the process.’
The company stressed that the purchase of The Bottom Line and creation of Mobilise Telecoms was not linked in any way to the recent demise of Geko Direct, another Mainline dealer.
It said: ‘Following Geko’s move into administration, we have established a freephone number to deal with any enquiries from Geko customers and have used our resources and contacts to try and find new positions for some of Geko’s staff who now find themselves out of work. Both of these initiatives are working well.’

- GekoLeaks replies to Confused| 10 repliesI find the 'merge' of part of mainline & the bottom line to create a 'new' company far too much of a coincidence to happen at this time. Mainline & it's management have decided they want a bigger slice of the pie so have become involved as part dealer & distributor. It was a toss up between geko or bottom line to be involved with this new venture with the bottom line prevailing. I have also been reliably informed that the new company will not only be contacting the bottom line old customers but also ex Geko customers! Now who's the winner in all this I hear u ask? Well u don't have to be a genius to work that out!! Changing the subject, I also know the server containing the geko database of customers & telephone system disappeared from the Geko building! Now surely that's theft of company propertouse it would be concidered as part of the company assets? I wonder which wobbly tree company that could be?
- The Accountant replies to GekoLeaks| 9 repliesRead the Deloitte report above, it shows that Mainline purchased the database for £25000 which they considered a premium. Dave Carter also offered £9000!!! He was crying his little heart out in Telford on the day he announced Geko was closing and told me to my face he was broke. That report has shown Dave for what he really is.... A liar! I sat upstairs and felt bad for Dave now I feel nothing, I hope he loses everything. I will be submitting my comments to Deloitte with evidence to show the way he run Geko into the ground. He was even lying when I went there to hand my redundancy form over I noticed loads of stuff missing so I will send photos to Deloitte of the upstairs office before they stole all the pcs and servers. The only people i feel sympathy for are the staff and managers who could not prevent this, Tim drove sales, Lacey retained customers then Vince and Dave ripped the customers off.
- frustrated of geko replies to The AccountantIf there is proof that someone/anyone took kit, pc's or data then you should inform the people from Deloittes or the police. If you think that someone has stashed cash away then you should inform the people from Deloittes or the police. If you think people have nicked data (see previous posts) then you should inform the people from Deloittes or the police. I agree with all of that.
- GekoLeaks replies to The Accountant| 7 repliesWe all know there is the 'database' and the database that mainline brought. Mainline already have the details of customers so the £25,000 is really a show of willing maybe even a bit of a guilty conscience & it would be in their favour to not allow any competion to get hold of it. It was only the amcat database that was up for sale anyway not the goldmine, the server had gone! If you ask how a new mobile business can be set up in such a small space of time using the same shocking terms and conditions as Geko's, employing 5 - 10 sales staff with an Orange dealer code with no or very little telesales team, they must have got the data from somewhere to start! Who had the opportunity to get this? The management!! It was all planed in advance and yes, was bullish*t!!
- Oh Wise One replies to GekoLeaks| 2 repliesOk I am going to ask, who nicked the data base? Who is using the database? How come Deloittes, who are one of the largest Auditing companies in the world, didnt suss out wot was going on? Which managers were involved in this theft? What proof is there? What is to be done about it?
I am looking forward to heering the answers. - embarrassing replies to GekoLeaks| 3 replies"If you ask how a new mobile business can be set up in such a small space of time using the same shocking terms and conditions as Geko's, employing 5 - 10 sales staff with an Orange dealer code with no or very little telesales team, they must have got the data from somewhere to start"
cactus ? wobbly tree went bust a week ago ! - Oh Wise One replies to embarrassing| 2 repliesStill waiting for answers on the last questions but here are some mor? Anyone know if cactus r selling orange? does anyone know if cactus are part of wobbly thing or are they seprate? anyone know if cactus are using geko terms n conditions?anyone know if cactus has 5-10 people working there? anyone know where cactus gets its data (stolen or somewhere else).
- The Fat ControllerI don't like this. I have p****ed 25K up the wall on a database that has been copied for free and was sold on affiliates4u.com to more than one competitor. I'd have been better off spending it on cream buns.
- The Accountant replies to Oh Wise One| 1 replyThe answers you seek are really quite simple young pedwan. Bryan works for Dave, Bryan had full access to the database. Cactus are flying below the radar, wobbly tree are not both companies have Dave and Bryan on hand to supply data.
- Oh Wise One replies to The AccountantThank u for the update. So it is a fact that Bryan works for Dave, Bryan has taken the base and Dave and Bryan are controlling both the wobbly tree and Cactus. There is no chance that this is wrong I suppose?
Seems odd to me that this is public record and yet there is not even an ounce of proof that this is the case and that no one at deloittes has picked up on this.
There is an alternative but it will be dismissed entirely of course. Perhaps Bryan doesnt work for either company, perhaps Dave doesnt work for either company and perhaps Cactus arent selling orange and therefor they wont have any need for geko/mainline/orange data and are getting their data from somewhere else.
But as i said this will be blown out of the water with the proof that people have? - GekoLeaks replies to Oh Wise One| 1 replyIt would seem I have hit a nerve here! Which one of the management are you? I am not answerable to anyone on this forum, I have no intensions of involving the police or administrators, just sharing my opinions, stating what i have heard from very relliable sources & exerising my right to freedom of speech. I feel for the customers who have been left high and dry about to be shafted again. If they read this forum, they can make their own decisions who they deal with. I have a few questions of my own! why did it take from 5th may to 12th may to formally involve the administrators? How could Dave Carter afford to offer £9000 for the database & £2917 for a company vehicle? There were many employees & customers worrying how to pay for food, rent & survive!
- Oh Wise One replies to GekoLeaksNot a member of the managerment team Im afraid, never got the chance to get on that greasy pole. I am just wondered whether the suggestions being made were accurate or not. As for dave carter i have no idea if and when he has any money or how he would even get hold of any money.
I am in the same position as pretty much everyone else in the company as i have had to struggle to pay bills and I dont have a stash of money tucked away to pay for the essentials like food, heat and the roof over my head.
I ws just wondering if everything that was being said was correct, in which case fraud has been committed or if it was just listening to people talking and there was no proof. I guess i have my answer now.
