My elderly mother was targetted by this company and after some real pressureon the telephone, made her part with £194 on her credit card.  I am reporrting them to the Police for harrassment of a vulnerable, elderly person. Avoid this company or just report them to both the Police and Trading Standards.

My wife was persuaded under pressure over the phone to part with £240 on her debit card to purchase a huge supply of rose hip capsules. The goods arrived, so no scam there, but she regretted it so we followed the instructions to send them back, including ringing this number, which at first was "not in service" but then took a message. Later that morning we had a call from "John" who said we couldn't possibly want to return them, but if we must, to do it soon. I returned them by tracked delivery. Online the next day I could see that the goods had been delivered and duly signed for. There was no "prompt refund" as stated in the terms of the despatch note, so a fortnight later (two days ago) I rang the number and immediately got through to a woman. I quoted order number and post-code, but "no, we haven't received it". Only when I quoted the Post Office tracking number was there a pause, and then she agreed to refund our account within 48 hours, which has now been done. This is a company using telemarketing to the extent of putting on an apparent expert in the sort of things older people might suffer from like osteoporosis, talking to them for a long time winning them over, ringing back if they have asked to think about it, and finally suggesting they should buy 10 or 16 months' supply when they have got their card details.  And when you want your money back they will lie or ignore as long as they can to avoid having to repay.

I must admit that the principal product they sold me, for slimming, did take 3 stone off over a period of two years. There are probably cheaper ways of obtaining nopal, but I don't know how well other products will work. As for their other products, if they are what they say they are, the prices they charge for rosehip compound (Theirs may be too refined since nobody knows for certain what the active substance is in that rosehip) and glucosamine (which my doctor tells me has been debunked) are comparable to those of Holland and Barrett, and what you pay for pomegranate extract is slightly less than you'd pay for the juice or the original fruit - I cannot say that for their garlic extract. They do seem to be a little too keen to persuade you you need certain products which you don't need, I'm pretty sure their staff don't know as much they would make out, and I'm not sure that they make sure that the amount of peripheral contents of their products don't add up to more than you should have if you take more than one. However, my caller was a genuine enough person and when she told me of a cousin she had whose husband was a murder victim, the report of the murder was in the papers. I've not had the horror stories happen to me that I read here, but let me remind you all that when the amount is over £100 the Credit Card Company (but not the debit card company) is jointly liable with the merchant for anything that goes wrong. I do wonder whether someone REALLY crooked has been cashing in on these people's name. There are better multivitamin products out there (Some versions of Centrum, for instance, contain Lutein - I'm not taking any multivitamins myself).

what can you do if a relative has been duped by this company and ELBONS customer care manager tells you that you should look after your father more and keep a record of his illnesses. And because its out of the 15 day returns basically get lost!
they told me that one of their health care professionals told my Dad what dosage to take on ph based on his medical notes. They also said that there was no note anywhere of that dosage and if a customer has dementia etc then they should have written it down. My Dad didn't even want them. They also said that their "health care prof " is not a doctor so surely they can't advise on dosage based on my Dads GP prescribed medicines. Oh and its never possible to talk to one of these elusive H C P , if they exist people as they work in another dept and there is no phone number for them. I heard them talking in background of phone about this case and really rude.

Contact Trading Standards and Action Fraud, making your dad's condition plain to them.  As you have guessed there are no Health Care Professionals involved with these sewer rats.  They are just a bunch of scammers who prey on the elderly and vulnerable.  They neither know, nor care about the existing health conditions of their victims, they are just out to make money.  This lot and Sanda Wellbeing are the scum of the earth.

Elbon Wellbeing are a bunch of rip off merchants, targeting the elderly to sell quack remedies at ridiculous prices.  You try and con them by pretending to be Health Care Professionals, which you are not, and expressing  an interest in their ailments, which you do not have.  All you are interested in is getting their bank or card details.  There are warnings about you and the other scum, Sanda, in GPs surgeries and Health Hubs all over the country.  The best thing any elderly person can do is hang up on your slimy sales people and then block your number.

I have just had to purchase one of the following. It is the only way I have found of stopping these constant calls. I appreciate it is expensive but quite frankly it costs a lot less then the amount of money they are managing to take over the phone. https://www.truecall.co.uk/home.aspx

Action Fraud etc don't seem to have done anything. My father is still getting calls from the same companies even after a couple of years. It is sad but true that in the end it will be down to who can afford to pay and who can't. Disgusting really.

ps. I don't work for them so this is NOT a marketing ploy. I hope it helps someone else and that is why I have posted the link.

I see you are now going in for posting corporate drivel in response to complaints.  You are still a bunch of thieving con men who prey on the elderly.  No amount of posting the same drivel over and over4 again will make any difference.  You and Sanda Wellbeing are as disgusting as each other.  If you were "honest & trustworth" you would not pressure elderly people, some with dementia, to give you card and bank details, and take hundreds of pounds from them for your cheap rubbish.

I agree and I hate these people as well. All they do is use pressurising tactics on the elderly. I do not know how their operators or owners sleep at night.

Total Lies and rubbish! You cannot be serious! I'm surprised you can sleep at night - actually maybe you should start taking some of your own tablets. Good god I've heard it all. At least I can sleep at night knowing that having fitted my fathers telephone system there is no way he can be contacted by cold callers like you ever again!!!

Anyone who believes that would have to believe in fairies!  You are studiously avoiding replying to "Bluebell" and telling her how she can get the money back you have scammed from her father.  Is taking money from vulnerable elderly people part of the trust and reputation you talk about?

Package received today the 30th of October from Eldon Wellbeing Ltd - Unknown to me they had managed to get my 89 year old mothers card details from her over the phone by she tells me representing themselves as Doctors and selling her Pomegra tablets which they told her allegedly would get her going and make her better etc. If that was true then her own doctors would have recommended them. They took £226.95 off her for this by getting her card details - when I rang up although Polite they told me that they would only refund the money when the parcel was returned at my mothers expense. Whatever you do - DO NOT - DO NOT order anything from a company that will coerce or trick a disabled 89 year old to buy something that has no intrinsic value other than being capsules of Pomegranate. You want pomegranate buy one in the supermarket.

And this is the company which calls itself "trustworthy and reputable" (or "reputed" as they say in their pidgin English).  Your post just proves what scum they are.  Report them to Trading Standards and Action Fraud. Contact the scum in writing and tell them to send your mother a prepaid returns label for her to return their rubbish or you will add the cost of postage to what they owe you.  Tell them that if they have not returned your mother's money within 10 days you will take them to the Small Claims Court and also contact the local papers plus any media which are interested, including Watchdog. Then we can all see how "trustworthy and reputable" they really are.

My father was contacted by a salesman from this company who offered him rose hip supplements.  He is 84 and easily confused, especially by fast talking salesmen so he was persuaded to give his bank details.  He then realised he should not have given the information and told the salesman to forget it, saying he didn't want the supplement & if he did need anything he would consult his doctor. Despite this £18.95 has been taken from his account and 30 tablets have been sent to him.  I rang 0203 002 3879 and was told we could have a refund if we returned the tablets, at our expense which is a bit much seeing as they were told he didn't want the things!!
Having read these comments it seems I was lucky to get anyone answering my phone call, although when I asked who I was speaking to the man wouldn't give his name!  I will make sure that we return them using a tracking sevice & will also get his card cancelled so they can't take any more money.
It's pretty disgusting that these sort of people seem to be able to operate - I will certainly report them to Action Fraud and Consumer Direct as advised
