Call to my mobile - no one spoke but I could hear noise in background

Keep ringing me you tossers & keep getting told to [***] off! Simples!

So frustrating.  I keep getting called and have tried to ignore them.  When I did eventually answer they put the phone down before I was able to tell them to take my number off their database!

STOP RINGING ME!

I have had repeated calls from this company for months now, when I do answer they hang up.  I have emailed any company names mentioned on forums to get my number taken off their list.  I have also signed up for the Telephone Preference Service, so if they call me after 28 days I can report them.

they keep trying to ring me and whenn i ans they hang up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well annoying,

i wish they would PPI off!!!!!!!!!

im getting 3 calls a day off this number.
just labelled it as spam in my phone, and editted the entry to go striaght to voicemail.

If that's true, as soon as you tell them you are on Telephone Preference Service (if you're not already, you can register here http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps ) or ask them to stop calling you or remove your details from their database, they *ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO* otherwise they are breaking the law, as per the above mentioned Data Protection Act.

I suspect this is a boiler room that operates a number of scams.  I have had several calls from them  - PPI claims  -  great new idea for insuring my ancient TV against repair costs - accident insurance claims  - market research -  you have won a holiday   etc etc.  Each time with different company names.  Next time they call, ask them what the weather is like on Costa del Sol/Cyprus/Turkish coast etc etc  cos my bet is they dont even operate from UK but use VOIP technology to disguise their whereabouts.  Total scamsters!

Thay have just started ringing my mobile number too...

They have just phoned me, hung up when I answered, I sent message back (who R U ) guess what no reply, next time I will report it to police after I reject the call,  SAD SICK  GITS.......

Answered a call from this number (got number via 1471) but after me saying hello a few times and a few clicks on the other end they hung up.  It's a UK number and I'm registered with TPS, so untrustworthy caller.

This is a company called Ellsworth Associates who get your number for their cold calls from DLG Data Collection Co.
They are Phising for business from alleged Bank Mis-selling

Had this number call a few days ago and twice today while I was out. Damn nuisance, should be illegal to cold call. A good way of politely cutting the call is to drop the phone (on something soft like your settee) and say 'oops, dropped the phone' then cut it so it seems genuine. Then they call again - some people just don't get it do they!
