they called me today, something about ppi's.  i asked how they got my number. they said from a database. i told them i was a subscriber to telephone referencing service so that meant their phone call to me was unlawful. they said it wasn't a sales call. i said i didn't care, didn't want to talk to them, they're not to call again, then hung up. I'm going to get a whistle and blow it next to mouthpiece if they bother me again.

I instanly recognised the bable from a call centre and told the (Indian sounding) guy I didn't to buy anything or have any cold calls and he replied: "Well go f*** yourself"......nice.

Recorded message saying we are Echotest... market research...says ..something else,, then if you speak all you can hear is your own voice.

Been getting calls from these guys on and off for a good long while.  If I don't recognise the number I don't reply, if they don'g give a number or it's unavailable I also let the machine pick up.  There's months without calls then there's a flourish of them, they soon get bored and [***] to torment someone else.  I'm registered with TPS but still get the calls so I reckon they're either dialing randomly or some [***] is selling our numbers.  I reckon latter.

I called this number only to be told by an automated voice that I was entering an 'echo test'???!!! I hung up but don't know if I have been scammed and if it will cost me a fortune.

Person didn't answer straight away, and asked to speak to me  by  my Christian name! I said why, she said u may be entitled to a refund I said why! she said ooohhhh and put the phone down !1

Yep much the same said they were First Call calling saying I could get refund on PPI, gave him a hard time and told him he could talk to me all night if he wanted as i was not doing owt. He said thats cool cos he was getting paid for doing it then hung up. Been getting loads of these calls recently and getting very annoying now. Still it is interesting winding them up for a bit before telling them to make love and travel

First Call said it was people like me who deserved to cross the road and get knocked down!! All because I didn't want to listen to his sales rubbish !! As well as saying 'what is it with people like you that just don't want to listen' What a charmer!!

The man on the phone told me that my mother didn't love me and that I was a bi*ch after telling him to stop phoning, telling him where to go and hanging up several times. Very rude and a total time-waster.

I had a call from this number today (9 September 2011).  My caller display showed the number 0207 603887.  I spoke to "Charmaine" from First Call, who said she could get me refunds on any loans I'd had in the past.  I usually hang up on these people, but I stayed on the line to try and get an address and check the phone number to report to the Telephone Preference Service.  She said she was calling from the U.K. and gave me the phone number 1109 09 1007, which obviously isn't a U.K. number. I couldn't get an address from her and when I pointed out that the phone number she'd given me wasn't a U.K. one she said "We call you." I said I used to have a mortgage, so she asked for my bank details to pay me a refund.  I told her I didn't know her from Adam and why would I give my bank details to a complete stranger, at which point she hung up.  I rang 0207 603887 and the message told me that anything I said would be "echoed" back to my to test the system. A TOTAL SCAM AND IN MY OPINION CRIMINAL.

Just had a call...if you can't block it, mobile wise, just save it with DON'T ANSWER as the name, then you'll know...

Seem to continually receive a call from this number who is it and how can I stop it.  They woke me this morning.

They are know to be the worst spammers ever.
I was able to find out more about them.

Had 2 missed calls from this number, when I call it back it says about an Echo Test.

Very annoying
