Sooooo annoying. had a missed call, rang back. Irish woman, mention the name katie walliams (not me) and mentioned mis-sold PPI so just said, i dont have no loans or credit cards. why are u calling me? she then muttered something and hung up omg...

rang twice today,keep getting calls can't understand what person is saying

landline rang and now being very wise I didn't speak, and the caller rang off. typed 1471 and the above number came up.
Although I am registered not to receive unwanted calls, they still manage to get through

Answered a call from this number earlier today.  Caller was completely unintelligible - I literally couldn't understand a single word he said.  The background noise didn't help either - probably a call centre.

Listened for a few moments trying to make something of the gibberish coming out of my phone, then the caller stopped talking.  I'd no idea how to respond because I had no idea what he had said.  Realising this was a complete waste of time, I just hung up.

This was the second call today from this number.  I shall know not to answer if it calls again.

Called the number back after a silent call - it looks like a UK number but turned out to be a company in South Africa pretending that I was due a refund on mis-sold ppi.  Can't these people be stopped?

Numerous silent calls from this number, always accompanied by my other line ringing with a silent call from "INTERNATIONAL Out of Area".   I've had half a dozen in the past few days.

Thanks, Biggles - this is the first time I've heard of this service with TalkTalk - and I've been with them for years!  I've stuck the number above my desk so I can use it with all the other nuisance calls that arrive despite my being registered with TPS.

Would you believe that two minutes after I logged the call as malicious First Call rang again!  I told the caller that I had logged the number as a malicious call . . . she sighed and said "No problem" but she did not sound like someone who believed it!

Got a call from a woman with a strong Asian Accent from this number.  She claimed to have got my details from "various databases" (a phrase she repeated several times) and wanted to get someone to call me back to talk about mis-sold PPI, but couldn't tell me why they thought I might have been due one.  When pressed, she said she was calling from South Africa.   I get called at least once a day usually in the early evening despite being registered with the TPS. Usually I say don't call me and hang up but this time I thought I'd try and find out who these parasites are.

Received a all from this number an hour ago.   My husband answered because he is expecting a very important medical call.
He was furious to find he was speaking to someone whose English was absolutely appalling and I heard hm repeat at least 4 times that he could not understand a word they were saying, and what on earth are you talking about and who are you anyway - he was  absolutely incensed.  Who are these people who are allowed to intrude on our privacy especially when we are TPS.   I shall take this up with the Prime Minister - I know we are the dumping ground of the World but our own telephone invasion is more than we can stand.

debt collectors are not efected by TPS and they also wont give out details with out conformation of whom they are speaking with this includes being asked name address dob this is governed by Data Protection act 1998
unless this is done you will have no grounds for complaint unless it a wrong number if you adv of wrong number and you recieve another call about the same person and same file then you may have grounds for complaint
look up CSA and FOS these are governing bodies of debt collection who may be able to help
