Silent call at 12.10 on 25112011 then automated voice "Goodbye".

My intercept phone system will not allow that number to bother me anymore.

Phoned  at 9.20am on landline. Knew my name and said phoning on behalf of some company or other with reference to the mis-selling of private protection insurance. Voice sounded South African. Three-word response from myself - 'Not interested. Goodbye' and phone down. End of story.  BT's Telephone Preference Service is completely toothless when it comes to blocking, or receiving complaints about, overseas calls.

TPS Line trying to sell a "reband"

Just received a call from these people. First guy hung up when I told him that there wasn't a 'Mr' living at the address.

Called the number back and told the lady to remove me from the database.

Not trusting they had I called back an hour later and spoke to 'Richard Ross' (sounded South African) and told him he should not have my details as I'd asked for them to be taken off. He told me he was a 'Senior Consultant' so would make sure they were.  I assured him that I would be making a formal complaint if I received any more calls off them!

Just wasted another 8.7 seconds of my life.  Hello, followed by whispers.  Come the revolution......

Called regarding PPI refund. Very rude!

This nube ris being given out by a company called First Call. They claim to be able to deal with refund of payment protction with banks.

I got a call from this number saying they are First Call.  Obviously a scam re payment protection refunds.

I got a call from this number today saying they are First Call.  I suspect it is a scam re payment protection refunds.  I've never even been offered payment protection insurance and yet they said they could get me a refund!

That's exactly what I did.  Soon shut her up.

Got a call from this number today asking for previous occupant of my property.  Lots of background noise.  I hung up.  I rang back expecting it to be a business, instead I got an Asian man swearing at me, then he hung up.  Lots of voices in the background, sounded like a public place.  Tried to report the number to BT, they offered to charge me for barring the number.  Are BT generating these calls in order to sell services?

Got a call today . Couldn't understand the"foreign English".Asked her to spell her company. After third attempt I guessed 'First Call', with the help of the  Police letters alphabet. She wanted to advise me of some refund or other I was due.Told her I was not expecting anything and hung up.

Called them back - about PPI. Told them I didn't have any and to take me off their list - will see what happens.
I'm also getting at least 5 calls a day that come up as 'unauthorised'. I don't answer but they don't give up.

Got another call today. An indian woman said my name was in the system for a refund. Told her where to go.
Why do BT allow this number to continue. Scam seems to be ongoing since June.

nuisance call

Caller fiirst informed me that it was not a sales call and then asked if I had ever been sold PPI. When I asked why she was calling someone who had signed up to TPS she hung up.

The TPS (Telephone Preference Service) is great but it can only stop calls from UK companies, they have no control over International cold callers.
