African chap wanted my credit card details ~ Said he had a refund and verified my mane and address but there was confusion over my card number  ~ I told him "Foxtrot Oscar".

These people called me three times today. Firstly, he called me 'love'! Then said, 'it is important I must speak to the man of the house, this is Scotland Yard'.

What kind of a fool does he think I am!? I am on the telephone preference list so shouldn't even be receiving these calls.

Just had these jokers call me. When I said I was registered with the TPS they said it didn't matter as they were not trying to sell me anything. They then proceeded to start the "can I confirm" convesation at which point I hung up.

Sorry this is not correct - You can't get billed answering an incoming call.

Hi   I was called twice by this number today.  The second time I spoke to the guy who said he was Kevin from a company called First something....didn't catch it all.  He was South African - possibly a student. He purported to have my details which had 'come up on their system as someone who had been mis-sold PPI'  and he wanted to ask some more details.
I asked which bank or company had actually charged me this and he said it would be a bank - I asked which one and when and how much they had charged me and he put the phone down.  Very rude.... !

Not had this for a couple of months, but they're still at it - well at least, ringing and then hanging up before you get to answer.  The fact that they don't block their own number and you can get it by dialling 1471, implies they think they're a reputable firm!  NOT...    I've been on TPS for years, and re-register regularly just to make sure.

Got a call today 02070603887about 5mins ago and its Easter monday morning forgein lady saying that i could be due a refund ...Yes PPI...AGAIN!! Told her its easter morning and not to bother me and that she should be at home with her kids its Easter monday...and to tell her complany not to phone me again and take me off their system as I do not owe anyone and no-one owes me anything...Have a nice easter day YO!....she sounded a bit down when she said goodbye, maybe because i reminded her is was EASTER MONDAY!

I got a call from this number today first and last time I am very sure.
I gave them the full whistle blast which sits by my telephone if it is one of these scammers or nuisance people.
I don't  thin k thast they will try that again.

They called today about possible PPI refunds. When I repeatedly asked who they were, how they got my number, why they were calling ME, he replied that I was asking a lot of questions and hung up.

Plausible British-sounding chap - Darren - a bit surprised when I asked for his surname, but said Williams. I asked also for First Call's address and was told Flanders Drive, London SE24 2CB. I can find no trace of such an address, but notice that Flanders Drive is the address in Durban SA. Conversation ended when I told him that my business was none of his!

took a call from these clowns today at 11.22am...kept saying hello hello hello before they finally answered. They asked for Mr Webber which isnt my name so i pretended to be Mr Webber. They asked me if i had a carburretor...as his accent was sub-continent i couldnt understand what he meant but when he said car i twigged. I told him i had three turbo cars and what was he ringing for. He kept saying carb all the time. I said what scam are you pushing today as it was computers yesterday. I told him I was registered with TPS and that I was reporting him to them. I finally confessed that I didnt have a car and i wasnt Mr Webber and how did he feel being taken for a muppet. I put the phone down before i burst into laughter. I immediately googled the number and found that there was 42 pages of complaints on here about this number and their attempts to do PPI refunds. They are obviously trying another track as the PPI angle just aint working baby. Number duly reported to TPS

Being pestered about PPI from this number. When i ask how they got my number etc they give a speech about data bases. I ask again who specifically they got my number from, same speech. Her English wasn't great and she kept saying 'alright' at the end of each sentence, which incensed me and I kept repeating 'no it is NOT alright, how did you get my number'? I won-she hung up on me, how rude!

Just had ANOTHER call from these clowns! I am fed up of them ringing. I too am TPS registered and told them the first 2 times they rang not to call again but they call at least twice a week. I have caller ID display on my phone so I just don't pick up now but the fact that they still bloody ring means that I am being disturbed as I have to get up to go over to the phone when it rings. I've reported them to TPS - for all the good it might do.
I am getting mighty fed up of them now. They called on Sunday and hubby answered and told them straight that we're not interested and reminded them they've been told not to call us again but they've just rang again!!!
Does anybody know who they are? If you call the number you just get an automated voicemessage saying the number is not in use and is for sale.....straight after this same number has just called YOU?
Totally dodgy and if they are in the UK and pushing this PPI claims stuff surely there must be a regulatory body we could report them to?
Maybe we should get WATCHDOG onto them??
