I'm not quite sure and its at 11am in the morning so am pretty sceptical about it, the thing of commission work and no pay else is really bothering me as its a wastage of money and time, I was wearing a maroon t-shirt and jeans sitting in the extreme side of alisa...

yeh theres no chance im going ! its comission based and they seem to brainwash you into believing that you can become a manager in no time LOL... what did they say in your interview ? were you sitting next to the desk ? i had a black trench-coat and a brown bag with me and sitting second seat away from the desk...

yep that's right you were sitting beside me wearing a suit uh? I know they told me that in few months we can become manager's after training and stuff but I dont believe so am not going. I wanted an internship or placement but what's the point to do it in a company which has no market value or rather ' true intentions' as per previous posts!! I'm sure they target a lot of people so they interview daily and in some cases they dint even get their sale checks! so am quite doubtful and decided to stay back, wait for original ones instead.

Yeah me too, but will she bother, you think? if yes then smack it.... I'm in for a game ;-)

Couldn't believe that guy was the manager lol... I was still thinking of giving it a try but what if they dint pay us, all would be wasted and time has value more than money.... Some stupid cosmetic, clichéd market approach and what annoyed me was that she was reluctant to tell me the 'designation'. I dint know for which role I was interviewed, crazy!!

Yeh she will call i reckon, they want as many people on board as possible to mug off lol... what are you gunna say ? do u have facebook or an email ?

Dont even think of giving it a try, complete waste of time ! unless you want to work 100% commission ! LOL i didnt know what role i was being interviewed for ! And that 'lisa' seemed asian so her name was fake !

It is so disgusting that these people prey on the ones who are doing their best to get a decent job. The people defending them should be ashamed - I understand that it's not so much a "Scam" so to speak, but it's still BLANTANT MISREPRESENTATION! I'm sure that if it stated in the original advertisement: "Salary is COMMISSION based only", 90% of people on this thread would not have applied in the first place.

Same [***], different smell....some of the "Company" names they are running with include:
    LIVE MARKETING DIRECT
    BLUE MOON DIRECT
    LIVE INNOVATIONS
    YFR
    SSC MARKETING
    RED FIVE
    SOURCE MARKETING DIRECT
    AC GENERATIONS
    UNIQUE CLIENT SOLUTIONS
    CAROLIA CONSULTING
    DOMINION ACQUISITIONS

    (and I'm sure many more...)

And the only thing changing in their emails is the name, address and occasionally the phone number.

Stay safe everyone, and don't let these vultures get you down!

I wasn't the smartest kid in school but i was stupid enuff to not do my research on the company, so i started to look around the internet and all was going well and i couldn't find a bad word against it, but just out of luck remembered a friend had told me about a job interview he had attended in Liverpool and it turned out to be a SCAM so i typed in Google, "Market Research scams in Liverpool" and i came across this website, i now know not to go to this stupid interview tomorrow, someone on here said that he had an interview at the citrus building and it was all a BIG SCAM, and as you will see in the attached E-mail it asks me to go to the citrus building. i know i have been ranting on for a while but i hope to god i have helped one person,

the link below will send you  to the place i found the job, it is clearly  SCAM of some sort, the same job advertised about 20 times on one website, that cant be normal.

I am rather angry at the minute and really thinking about going to the interview and just abusing everyone that works there, i can't wait for this Angie to call me tomorrow she is gettinG well and truly ruined :)

I got a call from YFR and the ladie on the phone her name was MELISSA seemed really nice, she said that i should come for a interview in ANGEL...
She didnt actually day much about the job just that 'the manager is pleased with my CV and wants to meet with me'
I found that abit odd but i arranged the interview with her.
Later she sent a confirmation of the interview and i txt back asking more details on the job.. I got no response and had no website or email addy to contact her, so i thought i wud research this YFR company... it brought me to this page, so glad that i never wasted my time going!
Please do research before you go to interviews..it will save you some time and disapointment...
Has anyone been to this so called interview at Angel? would like to hear more on the job
    Cheers

I just got an email offering me an interview. This was my reply:

    Hi Tom,

thank you for your email but I doubt I have sent you any application as I have been employed for the last month in an actual marketing position.

I appreciate you trying to scam foreigners or graduates with no experience into working as slaves for pretty much free but I refuse to be as gullible as I once was when I initially applied for some of your scam brother/sister companies. I am not interested in working for you, attending interviews or such and I just want to underline how low I think of your companies. I was too a naive student who was interested in finding a job, in marketing non the least as it was what I had wanted to study and the fact that my face lightened up whenever I found an email that didn't reject my application straight away brought up such a disappointment as soon as I found out about your scam. I feel disgusted by the fact that you pride yourselves on using the hopes and dreams of people my age and mislead them into believing that they can get a managing position in only 6-8 months. I have already attended a few interviews with your likes and I have to underline the "professionalism" with which the interviews were conducted. I have too interviewed candidates for positions in events management and I understand how important it is in order to satisfy your clients but I would never sink so low as to bluntly lie to the candidates.

The managers that interviewed me for all four companies, in your same office, were.. oh wait: the SAME person: Saphina something. I don't even recall a last name which highly speaks of your professionalism. After I specifically stated that I was not interested in a starting position as I did have quite a lot of experience in the field (you know, working for international events and in marketing them for about 4 years, events that included charities as well but you know, who's counting), much more experience than the person that interviewed me, that didn't even have a degree, I have attended only 2 second interviews. The first one, I stayed until the end, just because I pride myself on being professional and not leaving things in the middle and I have been offered the position. After spending about 6 hours in a neighborhood that I don't even know on which side of London is located and fearing for my life as I was supposed to knock on doors and ask people to donate. Nothing wrong with that but I did have to enter a person's home while the 50 year old was smoking a joint. I wasn't really keen on having these kind of experiences during my work hours. The second one was pretty much interesting on its own. Staying in a tube station and trying to sell make up. Again not my kind of job. I lasted only 2 hours and when I apologized for having to leave as I didn't find the position suitable for myself I got an appalling reply: "Well, I wouldn't have given you the job. You're ugly." Really? that's your so called managers. I have no self esteem issues and I get quite the compliments around but to be called that by a potential employer?

Professionalism and Ethics should be the basis of every company but you seem to disregard this. If so many famous companies work with you I doubt they know so much what you do in your business.

That being said, thank you for considering my CV, I do have experience  in customer facing and I do know how to work with others as I would usually coordinate about 30 people and I always got the job done. I do have skills that are valuable in the role that you are looking to fill but I also have something that you probably dread in an applicant: ETHICS! Check it in the dictionary.. maybe this way you could improve your business.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,
    Cristina
