This is so not right, These companies should be vetted before they place job opportunities on what we think are reputable job sites.
There are so many people who are finding them self with out a job because of the recession, we just have no time for this, not only time wasting more money going down the drain for transport, new cloth maybe?

both the above address mentioned in all these previous posts. STAY AWAY FROM BOTH!!!!

both said they were "impressed" with interview and would like me to come back one for tomorrow 9.30-6pm to shadow a manager and second company the next day 9.30-7pm.

I knew they were dodgy when they had the same application form, same B***S*** role, there were NO signs with the company name in either office, and both said one of their clients was Talk Talk- this is where they f****d up. I came home and googled both companies, as nothing came up i googled the address and what do I find??? this forum and many others sauing the same thing- these people are scammers and taking advantage of naive graduates who are genuinely looking for a career.

Im lucky to have found out about them before i went for both my second interviews, I hope all the other poor sods who were interviewed today read this- all 60 of them!!! I dont know how they've got away with this.

I've been digging around and doing research on this UNIK corporation initially just to see if I could get any tips for my interview to find so much material on the 'cloudy' nature of the company!

All the messages and comments can't all be lies and I don't think they are!

I think it's all a bit fishy when companies appear under lots of false names at the same address as have been proven other forums...

They called from 01216007235 about an hour ago and left the number 02072517278 on my answer phone as I was away from my phone. I didn't get the name of the woman who left the message as she spoke too fast. It took 5 listens to get the number she wanted me to call her back on.  

The thing I don't understand is, if it's a scam, what on earth are they getting out of it?

I went on many forum, and they ALL say the same thing.
I was contact by Frankie Stevens like and I will send the email as you said.
I ask a friend who has a law background and tell me exactly the same as you !

Here's abit of info on this company again. Did find it strange that they replied so quickly when I applied for it via reed.co.uk. Have just graduated, so was looking 4ward to this. However reading it did find it strange that they'd been "unable to contact me" as on that friday 2 weeks ago i'd been at home all day and the phone had rung once...so it's complete [***] really.

Do know companies like this exist and just move around the country under one big massive branch of monopolised [***]. Was going to go for my interview b4 doing a quick search on google for more info on the company, as when i've gone for interviews in the past (or looking at companies) I always do abit of research. Don't know why I forgot to do this when i applied for it on reed.co.uk, but just forgot.

Anyway their website's crap, and it's ironic that there are no staff profiles or any pictures of what their offices are like, etc.

One thing that ppl should add is that this Frankie Stevens has a strong Australian accent...now as much as I like australian ppl, she's obviously a 'Sheila' to avoid like the plague. So avoid UNIK or anything to do with ASPIRE from now on.

Thanks everyone, i was about to waste one day off tomorrow just for that... I sent the email as you said, i was both contacted the same day in 1 hour by JTG consulting and UNIK corporations. I knew something was wrong when i wanted to go to UNIK website and they "forgot" to pay the domain name. C'mon, they told they are in marketing and events.... So disappointed. Thanks everyone!

the number above is from a sales and marketing firm called unik corporation ltd, based at 5 bath street london ec1v 9lb. they are posting on jobsearch websites like reed.co.uk, where i first contacted them regarding an events and promotions job they advertised.
done some essential digging and unearthed a few possible home truths about the firm.
it seems they may be trading illegally, under several different names, advertising jobs that are not as they seem. many people who went for interviews for jobs with this firm have said they found themselves pressured in to taking a no basic pay low commission boiler room sales job that doesn't pay.
reports were of high pressure sales tactics and staff not being paid.

THE BIGGEST SCAM ON EARTH...I ATTENDED AN INTERVIEW FOR A1 AND UNIK CORP..BOTH IN THE SAME BUILDING ON DIFFERENT DAYS...UNFORTUNATELY I NEVA ATTENDED A1 SECOND INTERVIEW, BUT I DID WITH UNIK CORP AND THEN GOT EMPLOYED...IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I LEFT AFTER 3DAYS OF SLAVERY AND TORTURE...I WAS SELLING MAKE UP FOR £20 IN WHICH I WOULD ONLY GET A £5 PROFIT...I MADE NOTHING IN THOSE 3 DAYS!! BASICALLY WORKING FOR FREE...I WAS NOT ALLOWED A DECENT LUNCH BREAK! AS YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED...I HAD TO BE AT THE OFFICE AT 7AM LEAVING AT 10AM TO GO OUT AND SELL...3 HORRS IN THE BUILDING DOING SHHIT..I COULD WRITE A BOOK ON THAT 3 DAYS I EXPERIENCED WITH UNIK CORP...DO NOT EVER WORK FOR THEM!! OR ANY OTHER COMPANY THAT WILL NOT BE PAYING YOU HOURLY, BECAUSE U WILL BASICALLY BE WORKING FOR THEM FOR FREE.

I thought it was too good to be true to get a phone call within minutes of applying through Reed. She didn't really make much sense and their website is dubious, that's why I went on google and started to dig deeper. Thank you guys ( SPECIALLY MONICA) for your posts. I've had enough of time wasters.

I receveid an email from them this morning and they told me I had to confirm my interview with them tomorrow at 1:00pm.  

I called them at the above number and the lady that I had on the phone told me:
-I had the best profile she has ever seen! YEAH, WHAT EVER!!!!
-She confrimed that she called me this morning! But my phone never rang!
-She wasn't sure what job I was applying for
-She wasn't sure who would be interviewing me

If you look at their website:
-It's unprofessional
-ONE client portfolio!!
-No info on staff members (CEO, Head of marketing, Head of sales...Etc)

Depending on the website you applied from (reed.co.uk, jobsearch.co.uk..Etc):
-The job description is too vague to understand what you would be doing!
-Promise of a career
-You would be moving up!

IT'S ALL JUST A BUNCH OF B####S###!!

DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!

Hello All,

I can only join you in your misery and disgust at UNIK Corporation (although, all the other companies mentioned are essentially the same thing).

I will briefly highlight my experience which happened today -

I had forgotten that I applied for a position with this company, but I checked my emails and I had applied for a post named "Trainee - Marketing" via JobSearch.

I missed a call from the above number, then received the template email from Frankie Stevens saying how she tried to contact me and how I should contact her back, anyway, so I did call back, another girl answered, when I asked for Frankie or Sara she seemed a little out of place, then she said oh she will try to find me on the "database" using my name, conveniently enough the system was too slow/then the system was down. So she offered me an interview for tomorrow (less than 24hrs notice - I have never experienced that before), when I confirmed she responded with a mere "cool", which I thought was very off putting and from something that trivial, my suspense was triggered. While on the phone, I agree with all the others, that she could talk fast enough and couldn't wait to get off it, however, I did manage to ask her to send me some details regarding the interview so I could prepare, so she did attach a "job description" alongside the template interview confirmation email, the job description was just as vague as they advertise it on the agency websites.

Anyway, I am glad to have come across all this negative feedback simply googling UNIK.
I will certainly not be wasting my time in attending or liaising with these "cool" people.

Good luck to everyone with your job search and if you're really bored and want to be part of "The Real Hustle" (all these stories reminded me of that program) then do attend an interview and do share your story.
