This job is a big sam.com, Third day work. My day started at 7 and ended at 6 everyday And ive only been payed five pounds. They say uou make 250 a week but realyy you get payed deal but every pruduch u sell u only make 5pounds from and thats after youve just sold it for 20pounds. after being on my feet in knightbridge for 20hour i only got payed 5pounds. The manager claimes to be earning 350 a day but her office looks like a basment. The office is dirty all the staff are 24-16 year olds who this after 6months o this job they will become a manager which is a load of [***] becaue most of them cant even spell HELLO.

I'm meant to be starting my new job at UNIK tomorrow but after reading this and a blogpost, I don't think I'll be going. I feel cheated.

I spent the day with my trainer for the 'observation day'. 8 hours of observation/assessment! I got on well with him and when he started talking numbers, I did get excited. I really wanted the job at this point. At the end of the day, I have my final interview with the CEO, Bruce. A Scottish guy. Went well. He said he wanted a 'student mentality' from his new employees and a hunger and desire for business. He gave me the job and emphasised how fortunate I was to be given this 'opportunity'. I was 1 of 2, out of 50 that were interviewed, that were accepted.

I thought I was lucky when I got the job. They made me complete around 7-8 written tasks such as 'the law of averages', '15 roles of management' and '5 steps to a conversation'. I didn't think a scam would require so much work on my part. I didn't find anything out of the ordinary but now that I know it's a scam, I'm surprised more people don't just walk off home half way through the observation day. I asked this to my trainer and he seemed a bit dumbfounded by the question. Stuttering and mulling before he gave his answer.

YESSS ITS TRUE...THESE PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY SCAMMERS. I RECEIEVED AN EMAIL FROM THEM TELLING ME MY APPLICATION WAS SUCCESSFUL, SO I DECIDED TO CALL THE NUMBER GIVEN. WHEN I CALLED THE NUMBER, REQUESTING FOR FRANKIE STEVENS, THEY DIRECTED ME TO A LADY. SHE THEN ASKED ME A COUPLE QUESTIONS AND ASKED ME TO COME FOR AN ONTERVIEW  THE NEXT DAY. AND OBVIOUSLY I WAS SUPRISED BECAUSE WHO THE HELL MAKES YOU COME TO AN INTERVIEW THE NEXT DAY AFTER YOU CALL EM UP TO BOOK AN INTERVIEW! SO I KNEW SOMETHING WAS UP,AND I TOLD HER TOMORROW IS TOO SHORT NOTICE.  SHE WOS GIVING ME TOO MANY LAME EXCUSES. SO I DECIDED I WOULD COME THE NEXT DAY. TO BE HONEST, SHE DIDNT REALLY SOUND PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. SHE SOUNDED LYK AN AMETEUR ON WORK EXPERIENCE. AS WELL AS THIS, THEIR WEBSITE LOOKED REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL.!

WITHIN A FEW HOURS I EMAILED THEM BACK TELLING THEM TO DELETE MY NAME, ADDRESS, AND PERSONAL INFO AND I WILL BE CONTACTING THE POLICE.
ITS FUNNY HOW THEY WERE SOO FAST TO EMAIL ME BUT WHEN I EMAILED THEM, THEY DIDNT REPLY BAK TO THAT!  

THANK GOD I SAW THIS OR I WOULDVE WASTED MY TIME ATTENDING THEIR LAME INTERVIEW TOMORROW.

Glad i got on this site,just got a call 3hours back to come in for an interview tomorrow,know what?today is a bank holiday and i wondered why any one would call me from an office...well am sure as hell not falling for this cos the description for one is creepy...

Be careful!!!

Hey guys, I worked for UNIK Corporation for 8 weeks. And it's a load of [***]. You can make decent money, but it's not worth it. Let me expand....

They :

- Advertise a £250 p/w wage, when in actual fact it's a 100% commission job
- Promise the chance to move up the ladder, become a manager in 6 months

What you do:

- Sell make-up on the street ( Each make-up set = £20, you get £5 of that )

Routine:

- Be at office for 7am everyday except sundays, do crap like learn sales techniques for around 2 hours, and then you pack your suitcase full of stock and head out of the office around 10am.

- You'd then be outside, given a location and then you have to go into every shop and pitch the product, basically try and make a sale.... You'd be doing this all day until 6pm, YES THAT'S right 6pm, on your FEET!

- Head back to the office for 7pm, then do a " Break-down " of how your day went.

- Repeat all above 6 days a week!!!!!!!

Basically the manager claims he wants everyone on board, on the team, doing well. The only reason for this is because the more we sell the more he/she makes. Everytime I sell a £20 set, I get £5... £5 goes to the manager, and £10 goes to head office....

On average we could sell 10 a day, per person roughly... That's £50 in my pocket, |£50 in managers pocket just from ME. Now there's about 20 people on the team, selling 10 sets a day, work it out. Managers get loaded and you can understand why they want you on their " team " !!!!!

This job is not worth it guys, you don't get enough for the amount of time and effort you put in!! I'm not going to lie some days I would be making £130, but then the next day I would make £0, it's unreliable and no matter how good you are at selling.

There's so much more to talk about guys....

I have an interview with them tomorrow, and I'm not sure what to do now. After missing their call and then calling them ten times till they finally answered, they said they would email me the details of the position and directions after I asked them what exactly their company did, and what would be expected of me. I called again in the evening because I still hadn't received the email, and she said the internet was down. it is not 10pm, and im not sure whats going on. I am still going to go for the interview provided they mail me, as I am very intrigued. I'm not sure what they would get out of it? Do they not pay? Does anyone know wnyone who has worked for them? I found them on Gumtree.

that sounds like hell, and definitely not worth it. i have an interview with them tomorrow. if they say that my role is based on commission i'm not taking it. the ad is very misleading. i called them up today and asked what my role would be and what the company does exactly and they said they would mail it to me but their internet was down. i still haven't got an email from them. if they do email me, i will go for the interview just to see what happens! very disappointing.. i graduated with a masters last year, and these are the only jobs i can get, and im still unemployed. what's the point really.

luckily ive done some digging about this company and came across to your info about it! i applied for this company via Totaljobs.com and got contacted by UNIK 3hours after who had arranged an interview for 1:45pm tomorrow. As reading all of this very usefull information about there 'time wasting scammers' i will be cancelling my interview, so thank you ever so very much everyone!!! i dont know how people can toy with other people ambitions and lives..i mean like havent people got anything better to do...obviously not lol. I had an interview with ukip corporation today in London, dodgy company, went out for 7 hours trying to get tourist in oxford street to buy make up with this un motivated chavy team of kids. commision based and you basicly work for them for weeks for free. there company logo is knowhere to be seen on 1 bath street so i thought that was a bit odd.

UNIK CORPORATION = SCAM

I worked for UNIK Corporations for 6 weeks before finding out the whole thing is a scam and i left 2 days ago.  They made you work ridiculous hours for no basic and just £5 each set you sold,  Unless you are making sales every day and earning THEM money, they treat you like [***] in the office.  The new name to look out for ringing up for interviews is Sophie Anderson (whose real name is Emma Clarkson).  COMPLETE SCAM!! I invested time, money and a lot of energy in to this scam and got nothing out of it! There are so many people in the office that they have brainwashed, mainly unintelligent 17 year olds or people with no qualifications and are desperate for a job.  They make you feel like it is your last chance to do anything in life! DO NOT WORK FOR THEM!!!!
