I got this today (I emailed them the day before to tell them I was not going to the interview):

I applied for this 'graduate role' this morning and recieved a call this afternoon saying i have an interview and decide i should find out more about this company. I then find this website which does not leave me feeling great about this potential role. The e-mailed i recieved is below:

A.G.E advertised a physiotherapy assistant job on gum tree. The advert states no experience required as training will be provided. I applied for the job attaching my cv.

Two days later I recieved a call from a lady by the name of Chelsi. She told me that she has recieved my cv, but she said she notice that I do not have any CPR  or Manual handling qualifiations on there. She then went on to say that, she has arranged an interview for me with a physiotherapy and that I must complete the CPR and Manual handling course before she can send me for the interview. She gave me the interview date but no further details.

I then agree to do the course with the anticipation that there is an interview lined up for me. I  reluctantly paid £250 for both courses. Chelci told me that I will get a call from the physiotherapy 2 days after the course to arrange a location for my interview. On the day of the course I travelled to the location in London bridge. The tutor was late. The quality of the teaching was very poor, the writing on the projector was blury and the tutor did not know how to adjust it so I could barely see anything. At that point I started to think this must be a con. At the end of the session we were not given any hand outs, so I ask for an handout and the tutor said he was not instructed to give handouts.

Two days after the course I waited anciusly for the phone call from the physiotherapist but did not recieve any call. I then phoned chelci to let her know, she did not seen as enthusiastic as she was at the start. She said there is nothing she can do. At that point I new it was a big scam. Up to this day I have not recieved any interviews or calls from any one at A.G.E train. I called them every week but get no where

I really dont want them to get away with it. They are still advertising job on gumtree and totaljob. People please dont fall for it, as conviencing as it may look, its a scam.

My 19 year old son applied for a position with Reed this is the cut and paste from the Reed site: Job details:

We also checked their website which appears they are heavily involved with Gaming and Media.

YUP we had these on Tuesday - took my son there for interview practise in the knowledge that it was all a scam - and they have the same dire practices as Dominion Acquisitions Ltd - PLEASE CONTACT BBC WATCHDOG - if enough of us do this then we can get these people the right sort of exposure!

I've recently been applying for a variety of marketing roles on Reed.co.uk and was approached via email by a woman called Alexia from a company called JTG Consulting.
I had applied for a specific position, and within a couple of hours we had arranged an interview time for the very next day, but the email that was sent and company website was so vague I didn't dare go for the interview.
Also the job description never mentioned direct sales and marketing, but the company website does.

After not turning up I had received a stern email for a "missed appointment".
Not all too phased, I carried on with my job search today, only to find the exact same situation arose but with a different company and specific industry; this time I was emailed by Dominion Acquisitions.

Exactly the same kind of email template from Hayley Williams, and although their website looks more impressive than JTG Consulting, it has the exact same type of copy.

I had been given the same address from both companies -

I was then later called at 7pm by 020 7407 8585 - no message left. I simply googled the number and company names and all this info came up for it.

I would personally advise to avoid at all costs and report if possible, I will be doing the same!

Hello i have a small problem. i was as you invited for interview with that company but i was lucky as i see because i was going on holiday so didnt go. Now i applied for similar job with Harvey Wayne communications and got interview tomorrow. I found just one bad review about them but still bit wird that i got exact email as with other company

I have did research on your "company" and I was not happy to see Dominion Acquisitions blacklisted as a scam company.
I would like to thank you for the opportunity for an interview but I am not confident enough to waste £8.50 on travel, door to door sales etc..

However I would recommend that you try and give a better description on the advertised job page, instead of wasting peoples time.

And also try a new marketing technique instead of door to door sales unless you are either Jehovah's witnesses or Mormons.

It is a real shame that you would form an opinion on such a forum. We understand that this industry not for everyone however we do offer number of different opportunities at the moment. We work with some amasing brands which I am sure you would agree would not work with us if we were not a dream company.

We say in the advert that you will be meeting with business face to face, 'To be successful in this customer service and new customer acquisition opening, you will have:
Great customer service skills as you will be meeting with customers face to face and event based campaigns) however no sales experience necessary'.

Jeez, is there not enough accounts of how these interviews go on this thread? If you can't deduct whether or not you should bother from the many posts over these pages I don't think you are ready for the business world yet.

There was one post within this seven-page thread, that mentioned the same company I had heard from. Every other post was regarding a company that obviously one would avoid attending their interviews. One person posted about Harvey Wayne Communications, and no one answered her. Take your cynicism somewhere else, 'mrs hinkle'. This is a thread of hopeful university-level graduates trying to make there way into the business world. Being optimistic is not a downfall during these tough economic times.

Im 19 & out of work so when i saw the job ad on a job search website i thought, brill no experience required plus a promise of a good commission. Obviously when you apply for a job you research it, their web page lacks serious infomation however im desperate & thanks to the new government scheme im to be cut off job seekers soon, this is because of lack of jobs in my area & only a few christmas temps & it isn't wrong of me to want full-time work especially in my situation. So i rang them up & spoke to Hayle who seemed (as said in job ad) quite relaxed & told me that theres an opening tomorrow (today/21st), which only enticed me more. My research however was not complete cus i didn't want to walk in there with nothing but my good looks & charming personality. Now I find this forum plus others laying into this "company"... So now what? IM DESPERATE!!!

I am also in a similar situation with no work and have just moved to England from the Isle of Man. I too have an interview this afternoon organised via Hayley Williams in Leeds.

I don't think I will go if it's only commission based. I'll send Hayley an e-mail to give them the benefit of doubt and see what she has to say. If I cannot get a reply... definitely not going!

Aye mine was in leeds as well & i also have messaged her to which im yet to hear a reply. On a further note my advicer at job center said they have messed some of her over clients about & said that she & her college couldn't find any proper information about them. So i wouldn't recommend them.
