I cannot make any judgement calls on the companies above but I was recently pursued by a company called Rare Diamond Commodities.
The pitch was actually quite good by a gentleman called Mr Roth. With all my investments I study the company and the directors.
This is where it got interesting.
The company is actually based in BROMLEY, KENT and NOT MAYLEBONE. The first concern was the number they use, a cheap 0845 one. Rare Diamond Commodities claimed offices in Antwerp – where they also used a 0845 number. Surely the international code for Antwerp, Belgium should be +00 32 !
Secondary the directors have changed. I’m fairly sure the original directors MR DANIEL LESTER and ANDREW CLOONAN are still actively involved in the company. MR DANIEL LESTER is only 22.
I paid a small fee to a contact in the telecommunications world who actually found their office details below by reconciling the 0845 121 4511 number V actual offices. The Marylebone office is a virtual office and their actual address is:
BIG YELLOW STORAGE, 12 Farwig Lane Bromley, Kent BR1 3RB
020 8313 0854
IN MY OPINION THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM - PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Caller: Rare Diamond Commodities LTD

- David Shivmangal replies to A Belcher| 1 replyDear "A Belcher",
In response to your comments about Rare Diamond Commodities the business has always been in Marylebone and still is.
Your comment of RDC using a "cheap 0845" number, it is normal practice for companies making a large number of calls via a VOIP system to use an 0845 prefix. In regards to our Antwerp office it also uses the same 0845 number as all calls are directed through our London switchboard.
I, David Shivmangal (Company Director) and Andrew Cloonan (Company Secretary) have always been actively involved with the company from the start of the business.
Regarding receiving information from a contact within the telecommunications business for a “small fee” and our number being linked to the Big Yellow Storage I can only imagine they have confused us with another business and your "contact" has taken your money under false pretences. I have now instructed my administration staff to cross reference our details with our telecommunications provider to double check they have the correct information in place.
It is easy for an individual to hide behind the anonymity of the internet and make slanderous comments about a reputable business giving false personal ill-informed opinions. I can assure you our company has a good reputation and is not a so called “scam” business.
I can only imagine that the comments posted would benefit other interested parties that wish to damage the reputation of our business that we have built up over many years.
This blog has just been drawn to my attention within the last 24hours and I feel strongly that I have to protect the good name of my business. Unfortunately the internet does not allow me to pursue individuals that make these slanderous comments through the courts and in that respect my hands are tied. However, I will continue to defend my company vehemently at every turn as would anybody accused wrongly with such comments.

- Mr DaleyElite Gems sales boy Lee is a sad old mupp##. When I called back to the missed call number on my phone he got well shirty and would not give the name of the scammers he was working for. I had plenty of time on my hands and kept calling Elite Gems back enough times to disrupt their other incoming calls. Eventually a bird called Veena answered and gave the scammer company's name when requested. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

I can appreciate your outrage at the accusations made by Mr Belcher and your vehement statement in support of your good reputation .... BUT
The address you quote in Marylebone NW1 is a post-forwarding address and could not possibly be the hub of any substantial business buying & selling diamonds.
Similarly, the assertion that made by another person that you operate from the Yellow Storage in Bromley seem implausible.
So: Where are you based?
Similarly, the LinkedIn details listed by "Jack Williams" say that he has worked for your company for 13 years - odd since your Co. is only 2 or so years old.

Come on fess-up; where are you based, what are really up to? - Howie replies to Gem investment scamAlthough you are totally ignorant regarding the value of diamonds, after all the same arguument could be made regarding gold, You are entirely correct regarding the value of the vastly overpriced colored diamonds being distributed by the various boiler rooms in Toronto. There are rare diamonds going through Sotheby's for tens of millions of dollars. The people able to purchase them are not stupid as you seem to allege. Can you write a check for $20,000,000? The problem is that you have a bunch of [***] bastardizing what used to be a respectable business.

protectyourwealthwithdiamonds.com - SidMouth| 13 repliesOf course Rare Diamond Commodities are scammers at worst or very sharp sales-persons selling stuff at many times its true value to suckers, at best. Some facts:
1. Their Registered Address at 57 Lisson Street, is a converted pub, now flats and some very small businesses. Interestingly, one of the businesses at that address offers virtual office facilities, (post forwarding etc). It is very difficult to believe any business employing more than a couple of people could operate from there. Yet their website majors on "located in Marylebone".... very fishy. Do they use the services of the virtual office provider usefully located at that address?
2. Some people have asserted that RDC is located in Bromley. This may bebelievable for a couple of reasons.
a. There are LinkedIn entries for people who claim to work for RDC and show their place of work as
being in Bromley. There is even a LinkedIn entry for an IT person who claims to have worked on
setting up their IT.
b. There are job adverts for "Openers" (the sad b***ers who trawl down the 'phone lists for potential
suckers), Brokers & Senior Brokers all based in Bromley and selling "Rare" Diamonds.
3. Some of the job adverts for Bromley based telesales diamond-pushers offer 25% commission.
Think about it: if you buy a diamond at a price that is already carrying enough to cover the 25% commission for the salesman plus enough to cover the margin for the management & owners, then it is likely that the underlying "value" cannot be more than a very small fraction of what you pay. Perhaps as little as 10%!
So, they may not be scammers but their behaviour looks devious and the product they are selling cannot possibly be worth anything like the price they'll charge.
DON'T GO NEAR THEM or ANY OTHER UNSOLICITED TELESALES OF EXPENSIVE STUFF!

- 425 replies to SidMouth| 1 replyRare Diamond Commodities have been pursuing me for over a week now & what was so funny was I told this Broker that I was not going to Invest,as I feel its not for me he then wanted to know why & was on the phone with me for 1hr 12mins !!
I told him that I been looking behind the seens,as I don't Invest until I done all my Homework.I mentioned about Bromley & he just laughed & said that is rubbish.
Cut a long story short, they have reserved me a Diamond & sent all the paperwork ! By the way to everyone on here,am no fool & worked out there is something funny going on,as no Investment Company ever puts pressure on their Clients to Invest & guess what they want a answer from me next week !!!!
Am aware that all these phone calls to me are costing them a bomb,so its quite a nice game one is playing at the moment. lol
I too have been checking the background of RDC across the Internet & there are loads of things that just don't add up !!!! Also found some links to certain people on Facebook.........
Anyway I will be telling them where to go politely & if that doesn't work then simply put the phone down on them !!!!!
