Bing: I have been enjoying retirement for almost a decade but THANK YOU for thinking of my Wellbeing :-) The good fellow was probably referring to my namesake.

Laughing aside, the reason I am here today is to let you all know that the directors of Sanda Wellbeing Ltd have changed... perhaps the press were asking too many questions? We can only speculate. Bali?

Without further ado, here then are the details that the email from Companies House alerted me to; I only wish I'd read it sooner. I shall make a few enquiries this week to see what I can establish...

        Type    Date    Description    Order

Call received from Robyn @ Sanda Wellness trying to sell me pomegranate tablets which she seemed to think would help with my breast cancer - How did she know I had suffered from that complaint?  Also where had they got my phone number from?  I finished the call when it was obvious the next step she wanted was my card details.  I fully expect them to contact me again when I will hang up on them.

I have received a call this morning from a number similar to that above 02086190075 just slightly different to the above but with the same story as previous people.  The lady called herself Collette from Wellness Centre.  I did 1471 to see if the number was registered but it was not.  I listened to her story and was very convinced by what she was saying but when it came to her wanting to send me the Rosex I was very unwilling to part with my credit card details over the phone as I did not ring her.  I have worked in finance all my life and know the risks of people giving details over the phone from cold calling.  I have looked on the internet and have seen this product on sale for similar.  She was calling from abroad, I know because of the accent.  I remain sceptical.

Had a call this morning ref Rosex, very charming young lady told me all the virtues of this product for Oesteoporosis. I was duped into ordering a packet at £14.95, supposedly a special rate, full rate of £32.50.  I was then transfered to another person who informed me that they would be sending me 10 packets (supposedly a full course), I stated that I didn't want that amount of money to be taken from my account, fortunately I had used my credit card. I checked with my bank and the payment had already been submitted!!!  They gave me advice on recovering the transaction which I am now following. The company have offered me a full refund and state that they will not be sending me these goods, I hope they are right. I will also report this selling technique to the Trading Standards.

I have been contacted today even though I am registered with TPS, but I am told BT cannot stop international calls. The man called Leroy Anderson asked many questions and told me I was overweight, which I know anyway, and did I do any walking, I live on Dartmoor and walk about 20 miles a week. Anyway he went on about Rosex GOPO and sounded very convincing, then he could a special offer on this product for a one off payment of £14 95 and that would give me a month's supply, after that it would all be free and sent to me every month this is because I am 67 years old, he then wanted my bank details, but I said to invoice me and I would send a cheque, they could not process a cheque and I must provide card details, I refused but he was very persistant, whilst he was trying to talk me in to giving my details it gave me a chance to check the internet it immediatly came up as a scam. Eventually he agreed to send me an invoice providing I would keep up the monthly payments without an invoice, so the one off payment suddenly disappeared, so we will see if an invoice appears, but I won't be sending a cheque

I recently had a call- seemed genuine. Asked about my health and then passed me to a colleague who seemed to understand about joint problems. I thought I was getting one box of tablets.  When I realised I HAD SPENT £149 I rang to say I did not want to spend that amount they said I could have four boxes. I was stupid enough to give my card details again - now paid £149 & £63.30 - rang bank immediatey both amounts gone.  Bank said as I gave card details willingly they cant do anything. Now I've stopped my card and need to wait for refund of first payment which can take up to 30 days -then the bank will chase  I Have stopped my cards and HOPEFULLY I WON'T BE SO STUPID IN THE FUTURE

"Tracey Smyth" insisted her call was part of a medical survey, not a sales pitch. Discussed arthritis and diabetes. Advised I should use rose-hip tablets not capsules because they are sugar-free. Only then revealed Sanda Wellness sell the latter. Insisted I should give her my card details and I refused. She insisted her company is responsible and does not keep card details. I repeatedly refused. She became quite annoyed. I rang off. I was not at all surprised when I Googled the telephone number and found these other adverse reports. Not a company to do business with.

Hi  I recieved a phone call from sanda wellness and very polite they were as well, The lady who spoke to me was called Anita and very polite she was, she told me all about the special affects of this product, and after a while she put me onto what she called a medical advisor who was called  Ben Rogers. He was very good and explained how many tablets i would have to take and also asked if i would send him a box of chocolates if i get progress with them, and very charming as well.H e also said i didnt sound my age and thought he was talking to somebody who was very young,(flatterer).but they are a genuine company as i did check and got a lot of information about them.I ordered some of these tablets and now on my 3rd week in taking them , so hopefully they will work, early days yet, but if they do i shall bee getting some more, anything to be free of pain., and you can't put a price on that .So don't knock the conmpany if you don't know nothing about them. They are going to keep in touch with me and monitor my progress.

I have just put the phone down after well over half an hour talking to Sanda Wellness, but I was being persuaded to buy Extra-flex Gel for Arthritus at £16.95 for 100ml.  I believe the lady who called me to be Indian.  She was very polite and seemed knowledgeable and I am almost convinced.  I did not give any bank details saying I had no cards, so she is going to ring back tomorrow when I have asked my husband for his card and also to give me time to research the product.  After reading the previous comments I am very unsure.  She also gave her telephone number and said she would monitor my progress.

    Take care.... From www.arthurmedicalcentre.co.uk/website/T12345/files/newsletter_apr_11.doc

    WARNING

The East Midlands Counter Fraud team has received three separate reports of inappropriate
communications between a private company and patients discussing their medication. The company,
which appears to be based in Bexley, is called SANDA WELLBEING. Reported cases include a caller
telephoning patients, usually elderly, to advise on their medications. The patient believes the caller is
either from the patient’s health body or from the Health Centre.

In the reported cases, the caller has advised the patient to stop taking essential medication and to
change to their own much better herbal remedy. The patient has then been subject to a hard sell and
bank details have been continually requested. An additional search has revealed an internet blog site
with warnings regarding this company – https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/02086190070

Patients are advised to speak to their GP or their local community pharmacist before they stop taking
any prescribed medication or start taking any alternative medications.

I was contacted by this company as Sanda Wellness by a foreign operator called Silvano, again all the smooth chat, but not giving up the hard sell, I eventually agreed to buy the offer of Rosex at £14.99. I was then passed to another foreign lady , could not make her out very, talking about monitoring the course. I was shocked to find that £149 had been taken from my account. I am now taking steps to prevent them taking any more money and making complaints.  please be wary, especially if you are having difficulty in making out what they are saying.

My elderly father received a call from this company evening Tuesday 14th June 2011 where they talked him into parting with monies for 6 months supply of tablets cost £150 & mentioned something to do with pommegranites etc.  Sadly I didnt get to hear about this until the following day - I immediately cancelled his debit card.  Today (Thursday 16th June 2011) I tried to cancel his order but apparently I was too late.
I was further informed that when the parcel arrives (delivered by Citilink) not to accept it & the parcel would then be returned.  I spoke to an Indian sounding lady called Glenis who I have to say was very polite & informed me my father would receive a refund minus the postage £10.95.  When asked how this would happen as I had cancelled his card she stated it would go straight into his account & would take approx 5 - 7 Days - ummmm I am very sceptical & will monitor the progress.
Please if you receive a call from these people do not purchase anything from them.

Sanda Wellbeing Ltd are lying. Under the distance selling regulations they should also refund you the £10.95: http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/general/oft698.pdf

"Where the DSRs give consumers rights to cancel, this right is unconditional. If consumers cancel before they have received the goods you must refund the total price of the goods, including any delivery charges. Consumers who have cancelled under the DSRs may refuse to accept delivery of the goods. Refusal in such a situation cannot be treated as a breach of contract."

Put your request in writing by email to: complaints@sandawellbeing.com

If they do not refund you full amount taken, let consumer direct know:

Over the last few days Sanda Wellness has called my number about 15 times and finally got hold of me this evening.  The chap was very chatty eventhough I struggled to understand his accent. he wanted to know about my health etc and suggested I use pomegrante tables they sell at £14.99 for 30. He then asked for my adress and I just I told him I would not buy this over the phone then I just put the phone down as I was checking this webpage as he was speaking!  so I am quite pleased I did not give him any other personal info!

I have just had a call from this company. The woman said her name was Ruby Jones (in a very strong indian accent), she rambled on for 18 minutes about the benefits of these tablets & then asked for my credit card details. I told her that I would think about buying the tablets & I would ring her back next week. After reading these comments, I am glad I didn't give her my details & I will not be ringing her back. I have caller display on my phone so I will just ignore any more calls from them.
