Before you re-order from this company you should know that they charged my Mother 6 times what the same product cost from www.healthydirect.co.uk

This company SANDA WELLNESS website http://www.sandawellness.com/
is based in Buckingham.  They called my Mother on Friday and pressure sold her Rose Hip tablets for her arthritis.  They charged her debit card (they wouldn't accept a credit card because of the protection provided by the Consumer Credit Act) £153.00.  She could have bought the same number of identical tablets from www.healthydirect.co.uk for £25.99 with free postage.

Don't be fooled, any positive comments you see on this thread are being put here by Sanda Wellness company employees.  I have informed my local Trading Standards office of this and you all should do the same - then together we might get some action taken against this unpleasant company.  There is no worse crime in my book than conning those in our society who are the most vulnerable and least able to protect themselves.

Just had a lengthy call myself and I am ashamed to say it took me some time to become suspicious.  I thought at first it was from our local surgery. I then became very suspicious when she said my optimum weight should be 8 stone- I am 5 foot 7!
I managed to close thep hone call.  I hope they don't phone again!!
She gave their location as Bexley Kent.  She sounded Chinese and said her name was Norah.
So pleased to see this site which confirmed my suspicions. Glad I didn't part with any money as well.

I have just been on the phone with this guy talking non stop about this rosehip stuff I did not get much of a chance to speak he just kept on and on and said he would call back in 15 mins I am not going to get anything from him. There is always Holland and Barret to get suplements from and they don't bother you with phone calls. The Indian man was called Keith Shas very polite it might be his job but too bad how sad no sale from me.

I have just received a call 17/08/2010 from a very foreign sounding guy, Victor Cohen, on extension 0735,  asking me all kinds of question re my health, and if I suffered from pain in joints etc.He knew my name, and phone number since I am not listed in the directory under the name he used, I asked how he knew my details - he replied, "You've probably been in touch with us before" To which I replied "I don't think so, I would have remebered."
He went on and on about the product being natural and from rose hips, and that it reapirs the joints, then to ask my address and postcode. I was very uneasy about this, and asked if I could not do this visitng his website. He gave me it as Sanderwellbeing. Just looked it up:-
http://www.sandawellness.com/sandawellnessuk/about-sandawellness.html  They do exist it appears.
I was in the middle of cooking my lunch and said could this ot be done later to which he said yes, but then passed me onto another guy who asked how I was going to pay - which card.
"I don't give out my card details over the phone to strangers" I said, and put down the phone pulled out the plug. Dialled his number back using 141 first, and no answer.
Dialled 1471 ad it came up as 0208 6190071 not 6190070
I have informed the local Neighbourhood watch.

I am 80 years old and recently have been getting callls from this number. Today my two grand-children were yelling and calling him a con-man down the phone I didn't believe them and gave him my adress. Now they found this board because they were sure it was a scam. I am so glad that I didn't give them my bank details. Its a good thing I'm going away tommorow!

This number has called me 4 times now, 3 on 18/082010 and once this morning at 09.00. I told them to Please stop calling me and put the receiver down. Now I'm getting very agigtated about it. I am already registered on the telephone preference, some years ago, but this has made no difference

Yes this company whilst probably not illegal is morally questionable. My dad is 76 recently lost his wife (June this year) they called him kept him on the phone for ages. Guy called Dillon Smith who is apparently a nutritionist took his card details for £359!! A woman called Iris Carter also 'chatted' with him was going to visit him, go to football with him? and asked for a box of chocolates. I spent 20 mins on the phone telling them what I thought of them, I asked where they got my Dad's number from was told that they are calling 'senior citizens' and offering the health supplements, I questioned their medical qualifications, Dillon is apparently a Nutritionist. My dad had given his bank details they tell me they have cancelled his order but I will check his bank as I have to say I don't trust them! I think they are preying on the elderly and vunerable please be carefull.

HI MRS Janet Parsons...i think what you've done is totally sense ....i would have done the same thing IF IT WAS MY DAD  ......BUT ONLY AFTER CHECKING WITH MY BANK IF THE SO CALLED AMOUNT £359 IS CHARGER TO MY ACCOUNT OR NOT AS PER YOU THEY CONFIRMED THAT THEY HAVE CANCELED YOUR ORDER...NOW ON YOUR PART YOU SHOULD HAVE CHECKED YOUR BACK BEFORE POSTING ANY COMMENT ...

I too was contacted by Sanda Wellbeing just over a week ago by an Indian lady called Audrey.  I couldn't understand her accent. She spoke at length about the benefits of GOPO .  I was tired so was easily persuaded to buy it partly to get rid of her.  She took £93 from my credit card the same day.  ROSEX came today after I had almost given up hope.  I am 77 and live alone and I think it is wrong that elderly peope should be targeted in this way.  I only hope the tablets work.

My dad has just been scammed by this company Sanda Wellness. Initial call claimed to be from the Hospital where he had a recent appointment. The follow up call took his bank details, but said they would not be debiting any money as he preferred to pay by cheque. He was told the rosehip supplement was very safe and would not react with any of his many medicines, which is untrue. Because it has a high concentrate of vitimin C, it can block the effects of blood thinners ( which he relies on) and other meds.
The pills arrived with a massive bill.. £285.00 for what we now know is £60 worth of pills.. and not only did they cash the cheque, but also debited his account the same amount.
When i spoke to a ''manager''  they said another cheque had been sent and was about to be cashed. Dads cheque book showed no others had been written, so i can only assume they were about to debit his account again from details on file. No more pills were sent, they were just recharging for the ones he'd got, and couldnt explain why.
I also mentioned this and other websites which warned of the scam... they told me they were all fake!!!
Please be vigilant... they are using well thought out methods to scam the vulnerable, the hospital connection was what convinced dad it must be ok.
We have reported them to Trading Standards, but it seems many others have, and they;re still going strong.

I got a phone call from this number and the person called himself Roy Tait and he seemed to know that I had an illness.  He went on and asked me loads of questions and when I said what was wrong with me he told me that his clinic/herbal shop not sure what - could help if I was to purchase these Rosehip/Gopo tablets.   I was quite convinced by this man - but I did not give him my bank details, I thought I would look this up on the internet first, thank goodness I have.

Had a very long call from Spencer this morning, courtesy of a 'nationwide health advice programme', telling me about pomegranate skin extract. As I don't buy from cold callers I let him talk, but was surprised to hear a cheer and applause from the room where he was making the call. He explained that someone who had bought one of their products had just rung up to tell them how much good it was doing him. More likely a sale, I thought. Luckily we didn't get as far as credit cards, but he has arranged to ring me back next week as I told him I wanted to do some research on the benefits of Pom Skin Extract. Seems like it might work if I was a mouse . . .

I have recieved a call from the wellness clinic and due to their plausable delivery I ordered 1 months supply of Rosehip tablets.  They took money from my account immediately, I had to call my bank and froze my account, so far I have lost about £19.  About 10 days have passed and thus far have recieved no pills. Below is the address they gave me.

My namesake John (below) must be joking or implicated! My 87 year old mother received an unsolicited invoice from Sanda Wellness asking for a cheque to be sent to a PO Box in Crawley, the 'offfice' address was in Milton Keynes with an 0208 phone number!!! This fraudster even charged VAT with NO VAT Reg'n. If you hear from these tricksters PLEASE tell the police.

Hi,I have had terrible problem in my joints since the last 12 years. I had received a call from Sandawellness a few months back. Got a brief idea about their products & maintenance programs. After knowing my entire history they suggested me Rosex. I’ve been taking this pill for about 4 months now. The result has been outstanding. Earlier I could walk only a few steps whereas now I daily go for an hour walk. I feel more active, strong and flexible. This health supplement has really helped and got me back on my toes. It was my luck that I got this product at reasonable rates.
I would also want you all to know that-
Osteoporosis is a silent killer and a major area of concern for people at the age of 30 and above. With today’s lifestyle trends, we all are at risk of having weak and fragile bones, a condition which is not reversible and the damage can only be noticed when one has a fall and breaks a bone.
So, its never too late to start ...
