I've had calls from this number for over 4 years now. They ask for a Mrs Young and when I say they have the wrong number they say it's me they need and ask for my address. Really annoying as I've told them time and time again to remove my number from their records. It's always a strong Indian accent and they hang up when I ask them to stop calling

this number keeps ringing my landline even my mobile number, & don't know how they have acquired that , cannot understand the person on the end of the line as Indian?  company names sounds like ECS? Loans? who have an old address of mine.  But, as soon as I mentioned who are you again and whats your nature of your call, they informed me its about a loan? sorry don't think so, then they hungup.

they hate it when you tell them to f... off. but this doesnt stop them calling 4 & 5 times a day EVERY day.

Just called landline 10.25am no one there. Dialled 1471 got number. called them back got a long beep like a dead tone.

Had a call from this number today 21-11-2012 but there was noone there.

Thgis number rings about six times a day but there is never anyone there when you answer. Its quite annoying.

The caller tried to tell me I had overpaid for a loan I had taken for a reasonably large amount of money in 2008 and that they could act on my behalf to get this back.
I had taken no such loan.
When I said this I was verbally abused and told to go to hell.
This is clearly a scam, which I avoided - but some more vulnerable people could easily be drawn into it.

Indians keep telling me I am owed £3000 ppi insurance refund and compensation, I just play along with them, then they tell me to f*** off when I question them further

They call, leave no message, it must be an autodial.  I wipe their number from my system and do not call them back.

I work from home and find it so annoying as this is the silent caller.

I'm afraid TPS only applies to calls originating within the UK as I understand so if these calls are coming from outside the UK there's nothing stopping them. By the sounds of their nature I doubt they'd be concerned about violating TPS rules anyway. I've had a couple of calls in the past couple of days with no answer at the end of the line.
Ofcom may do something if enough people complain?

Just had a call from this number. On a Saturday morning!!!! They asked for a name of someone who hasn't lived at this address for many years. I politely told her they didn't live at this address and before I could finish speaking she rudely hung up. Have no idea why they were calling, I wont be picking up to this number again!!!

got a call from this number today asking for someone else, when i asked who it was they told me to f___ off then hung up

a man with indian accent asked for incorrect name when i said no, he sai i think yes! i just put the phone down. why cant calls like this be stopped?
