This number rings and asks for someone i dont know but when i ask who is calling they hang up

sick of this number calling me....TWICE today so far.

My step mother received a call from a man with an Indian accent today and said he was her husband, she went on to explain that her husband had passed away and they guy start laughing and said I know and continued to laugh, how can there not be something done about these sick people other than the victims of the horrible calls having to sort out a new number or register with a company to stop nuisance calls,laws need to change

Sick of these idiots calling and hanging up, can they be reported to the ombudsman for telecom, we have  our phone unlisted and still they call!

This number called me today and foreign sounding lady tried to tell me I had taken out a loan several years ago with my husband and I was due back some money! All a scam as no husband and no loan just got my surname right. THIS IS A SCAM do not tell them anything! I have been registered with TPS for several years but foreign calls still come through so although a local looking number this call is from abroad and they just want your money!!!

Called today.
Never answered the call.

Started with no one, then a very quiet voice I couldn't make out.  If they want to sell me something or con me, what is the point of what happpened next.  They rang off?????

Fast-talking, foreign-sounding (Indian?) guy  claiming to be from "ECS PPI Department" regarding the PPI on a loan which I supposedly took out many years ago - got a bit rattled when I asked him to repeat his company's name, then slammed the phone down on me!

This company is pestering people for no good reason and should be stopped. I think they are trying to jump on a bandwagon and are not needed.

sick and tired of them ringing ask them who they are and they put phone down on me !

Another call today. Do they ever give up?
Tempted to answer it next time and just say "Bugger Off"
Might get my number ticked off the list then.

I am ex directory and have been getting atleast 2 phone calls a day from 02362987558 most of the time no one is there and it disconnects after couple seconds. Sometimes its someone asking for Mrs Ward then when I say she doesn't live here they ask if this is and gives the wrong address But same area. A few times they'll say they'll take my number off their data base, but the calls continue. Is so frustrating ss we sometimes ignore phonecalls and miss calls from friends and family or really important calls

I never answer my house phone now. I am ex-directory and all of my friends know to ring for a certain number of times and then ring straight back so I will answer it. Bit distressing if you live alone.

Just had a call from this number today - THIS IS A SCAM - the bloke started singing to me down the phone - told him to Foxtrot Oscar ! --- PPI SCAM x Report it to ofcom

They ring and keep asking for the previous house owner, who died 7 years ago! Minute I question this the hang up

Answered this number yesterday then had to wait a minute before I heard someone with a strong Bulgarian accent (or was it Romanian?) at the other end. He claimed he could get me compensation for bank charges of £4 and 19 shillings incurred in 1967 at today's money. I couldn't even recall what bank charges I had in 1967! When pressed he quoted a figure of £2999.99 fees for is service. I declined!

I dont want to be rude but if your silly enough to fall for it then serves you right when your bank accounts emptied. they called me asking for some one who has never lived at my property, im the first person to ever live in this house and they told me (thinking i was a mrs gunn) that i am owed money blah blah didnt aske me any security questions then hung up when i told them im i think its aload of crap.

Two calls today. Indian guy started arguing with me when I said I'd never paid for PPI. Second girl put the phone down when I asked for the company's address. Something needs to be done about these companies who waste evryones time.

Same as above. This number called today, just silence, then hung up. Possible automatic machine? Should be made illegal to do this.

Saw this number on caller ID and just ignored it. They rang for quite a while before giving up. To me they're just irritants, but from what I read they often really disturb old and vulnerable people. These pests need to be tracked down and prosecuted. The Telephone Preference Service seems to be a bit of a waste of time, the 'legitimate' marketers will respect it, but these crooks have no respect or consideration for anybody.
