I got a call from this number. I was wondering about it to til I read this forum. It's from an international source land line. Simply, someone calling from their house phone, to you, from another country.

It explains the earliness, because in other countries, it's not early to them.

So when you get this number from a call, expect it to be from another country.

getting calls between 12.30am and 4.30am for the last week.. some indian guy saying dont u remember me.. he gets nasty when i ask who he is..

received a call from this number as well 7am. i didn't answer it,the number called me 2x!made me think what if it was family member or just a credit card company! had a picture of that indian guy picking his nose!(have you watched Transformers) ;-p

maybe this is their website even...trying to monitor conversation and confirming that we have received their call! (paranoid)

This is the number that appears often when people call Australia using a calling card from overseas. I have had 2 separate people in London call me and the same number appeared on my phone.

This number is a call centre from Sydney. It generally calls people who are overseas as their network carrier charges to receive overseas calls. Network carriers must pay this call centre to ring people who are overseas as they generate income from this. This number has been lodged with the ACCC 3 or 4 times as being of malpractice.

i got this call at 12:31, 6 feb 09. i was half asleep so i couldnt understand the person at the other end, so i hung up, they called twice more, i rejected both calls then finally turned my phone off. they then called me while it was off and again this morning at 9:27. all these time i did not answer. the number it called was my second phone i never use and hardly anyone has the number. what is going on?

im only 13 an i gota call at 12.27pm like lunch time.an i said hello an they just hung up on me so then like 5 seconds later i got another one but was on private >???

ok - now a lot of people are saying this is an overseas calling card - but I don't know anyone who is overseas...I don't use skype.... I'm with optus... and my number is not on facebook or any other website...
I have won several overseas lotto's - which I never entered (I'm a very lucky person) - and I have never given my details to these company's - and yet I still get these calles at some stupid hour of the night when everyone else in Oz is sleeping.
I like what someone said earlier - put the number in it's own "special" section with a silent ring tone - love it - done it -

This Number is an International Dialling Service.
I was getting calls from a girl in Russia who turned out to be a scammer.
She was using a Call Centre and using an international phone card.
It is untraceable.
When searched it led me here.

The reason it rings at 5am is the country dialling from is 8 or + hours behind you.

Oh, they could be using "Internet Phones"
As scammers often do.
All I can say is same thing happens to me,except I knew the person calling.
It is probably the Phone Exchange number.
You know international exchange in this country that sends the phone call to the number requested.

Got a call from this number today on my mobile at 11:00. Did not picked it up as I'm in Melbourne and don't know anyone in NSW. It ended up being my family calling from Europe using a low cost call service which is routing the call to Australia over the internet. So that is what the whole thing is about: if you see this number, pick up the phone it is someone calling you from overseas most likely.

I saw this call come in on my phone but before I could even think to myself who this was it disconnected, only leaving the number. Clearly whoever rang did not want to actually talk to someone. Looks like it is a fishing exercise for call backs where you will be charged for making the call. DON'T RING BACK!

I'm in melbourne and I got a call from this number at 21:17. This "person" didn't leave a message on my voice mail.

ive randomly got calls from this number at about 10 o clock. but always missed the calls. everytimt i tried to call back there  is a dial up noise.

This number is actually international phone call that route via Sydney phone port.
