Got a call from this number today, called back from a private number and apparanetly the number in unallocated/Fax...This is all v strange.

I got a call from 0282094700 today. It was from Sri Lanka, but I am not sure why it is showing this number as it is not the number that should have been displayed on my phone. I think if anyone gets calls from overseas (out side Australia), the call displays 0282094700 number.

I got the same number. Don't know who call me. Several time. I am in Melbourne. Very annoying!

Another few attempts from this idiot tonight. The number is now saved in my contacts and assigned a special ring tone: a short mp3 of silence. It'll never bother me again...

I got calls from this number too. Maybe we all have a website in common. I use the dating websites. Maybe thats where they get our numbers from. This could be scammers. Id like to here fom the person who says these are Nigerian scammers.  I too heard a strong accent and detected broken English. J9M8

Yeah! Bloody number keeps ringing back and back! I have ended up keeping my phone on silent continually to prevent this number from waking me up or annoying me at ungodly hours of the day!
Tried calling the number, same, got a fax tone! Tried calling my provider, but they said I couldn't block it! I will continue investigating!

Received a call from this number, missed call, turns out it was from a business college of mine who was calling from Cuba. May be that this is the routing number for some overseas mobile calls... hence the calls a weird times of the day.

Just got two call minutes ago...it was actually a call from a friend overseas in Hong Kong...guess must be overseas mobile or calling card

Same thing is happening to me... at 3am in the morning. what can i do? can i block it?

this numbers flashes when someone tries to call you from overseas through net phones and all

02-8209-4700 is the number for calling cards in U.S you cannot call it back because it does not connect to the number of the phone that it is being used on..basically if you give your number to someone over the internet and they use a calling card to stalk you they cannot be traced so if have given your number over the internet it might be an idea to change it!!

THESE CALLS ARE NOT MARKETING or SPAMMING. IT IS A LINE ID USED BY AN INTERNATIONAL PHONE CARD SUPPLIER. Please look at the Kay's comments above about her husband calling from the US with a pre-paid calling card. I also receive overseas calls from this number from people I also know. If you are called it will be someone overseas. If you know them, fine, otherwise its just a wrong number, thats all.

PS: Forget calling back the number, you will be wasting your time and cash.

just had that number called me 5time.

Seems like a scam to me. Got a call from them. They knew some basic details about my ID and offered me to invest in some share. Their investment guru was to call me next week. I told them not to bother I am not interested. I guess it the old saying - there is no free lunch and if someone offers you one, you are better off turning it down. Avoid this scum!!

I received few miss calls from this number. When I call back, it says" sorry, this number has been disconnected". What the XXX is that
