After a long pause an African sounding lady asked for me by my maiden name but hung up when I asked who's speaking..if it's tv licencing they will write to me using my married name as it was updated a yr ago ..I never give details over phone

What they don't tell ppl is you DONT have to have a TV licence if all your watching is on demand/DVDs/video's not recorded from live TV/Blu Rays/play on game consoles
You only need a TV licence to watch live TV /live radio
These ppl have tried to ring my house line on the 16th & again on the 18th
I've never even given them my house line and they haven't even sent me any letters as I'm on there data base as exempt as don't watch live TV so bit suss if you ask me 😳

i keep getting calls from this number, but more worryingly, it usually comes up on my mobile, which I ignore, but tonight it rand both my mobile and now my house phone! Who is this?

Just had a phone call off these at 08:25am.. Phoned back and they said I owed them money despite me having already given them my card details previously. Biggest bunch of begs I've ever come across..

This is DEFINITELY tv license, I had calls from this number, as my payment for license was overdue I rang it back and made payment after I had checked this site to find out who it was nobody really knew so wanted to set record straight

Just had a call it was a automated mesage saying 'you were called by kinnerta??'  (thats what it sounded like anyway) and that they cannot transfer me to an agent. Repeated then hung up.

This is an obvious scam.  What is very concerning is the scammers are using this site to 'confirm' that it isn't a scam and encourage people to call the number or provide financial details.  Don't do it!

this number calls me all times of the day crack of dawn on a weekend. pain in the backside.

This is definitely TV licence I got the call they knew how much I was overdue before I gave any details I asked for the calls name and which call centre they worked at , I then asked if ot was ok to call back because I didn't have my card at present , I then rang the number on the back of my tv licence card to pay my outstanding bill I asked the man of the number that called me was one of there's he said yes

There is often a brief pause when any call centre rings you as their call dialing system kicks in. Occasionally a call will be dropped if all agents are on calls, giving the impression they've hung up. They ask you to confirm your details because of data protection, its illegal for them to give you details incase they have a wrong number. If you don't owe TV licencing any money you have nothing to fear. And they are aloud to call you between 8am and 9pm
