It's not a scam, definitely TV Licencing, they call to remind you if you're late with your payments. Have had a few calls from them.

It is tv licencing, getting away with telephone harrassement.  They non stop call my house number and mobile, just for a weeks missed payment.  A simple text reminder would suffice, not endless inconvenient calls.   Even when They had a brief prewritten text rejecting their call, stating that I was driving, they IMMEDIATLY CALLED AGAIN. Harrassing you when driving too.  These people bombard you with calls, no wonder our licences go up paying for all these hassling intrusive calls!

This number is definitely TV License, different departments use different numbers. They ask for address and postcode to make sure they are speaking to the right person. I HAVE given them my bank details and the payment has gone through referenced TV License, with no problems on my account. It is NOT a scam.

Had call from above number they called before 8.00am this morning which I thought was disgusting phoning that early

they phoned up out of the blue on a saturday asing for card information to pay a bill but it all just sounded odd my mum being too trusting just gave out the details i phoned them back and it was just a call centre playing the same music and no one answered please look into this so no one has to suffer with this problem again

This is a forum for sharing information.  It does not stop calls.  You admit that it was TV licencing who rang so check out their website and ring them on another number as this one seems to be for outgoing calls only.  If your mum owes them money then, surely, she did right to give them the information?

Called me this morning told my partner they were the dvla and I had to ring them back before 9 tonight, just rand them and they said tv license  told me to pay 5.50 over the phone by debit or credit card, I said I would go to the shop and do it and the man got an attitude and said no we want you to do it this way or further action will be taken, I refused as I'm not been bullied into doin something over the phone, I'm now goin to the shop to pay I don't trust people on the phone especially people who get an attitude when I won't give card details

Why would the DVLA want you to pay them for your TV licence?  Your car doesn't show TV programmes and you can't drive your TV set!

I see the point you are making and she probably just made a mistake but fyi  my Range Rover does have a t.v.
fitted as part of a multi function dash console.

That's what I'm saying they told my partner they were the dvla then when I rang back they said tv license so you tell me why at first they said dvla because I don't know
