Got a call from this number also. Won't bother calling back now that I know it's just marketing.

It's from E-Trade which has close relationship with ANZ, maybe owned by ANZ. I have an account with E-Trade so the call is definitely legit!

I have had four missed calls in the last two days. I'm at work 9-5 and don't answer my mobile. I am with ANZ.

Just got a call from this number. I answered, they stayed on the line five seconds with no sound, and then they hung up.
I am with ANZ...kind of creeped if this is the way they call their customers.

I also missed a call from this number, they did call about a week ago also, and asked for my partner?!

Yes, I seem to get these calls to my work number with some regularity. Being busy and not recognising the number I leave it to my voice mail but get a few seconds of silence on the retrieved message before they hang up.  After reading the comments below I was curious so I called the number back and got a recorded message saying it was an "ANZ outbound customer care centre:" and that I was also on a list to be called back.  I will take the call the next time.  I have NEVER been a customer of the ANZ. Odd.

This number has called my mobile a couple of times in the last few weeks.  I have missed the call and never any message left.  Thanks to this site for saving me further investigation.

3 calls over 4 days - never leave a message, when answered just a dial tone

Have gotten several missed calls from this Melbourne no, but similary no voicemail, and was concerned as to what it could be. This site is pretty helpful

Just got a call from this number about half an hour ago...again, stayed on the line for about 5 secs and then hung up. No voice and didn't call back.

i had a call from them also - today at 4.36pm answered the call to have them hang up on me i called back as i did not recognize the number and it was ANZ air ban answering machine. who are they and what the do they want??

Also received a phone call from them.  Just heard intermittent music on the other end before cutting out 10secs later.

i just had a call from this number as well - no voicemail left - i am an ANZ customer though so am glad i saw this! will make sure i ignore the call :)

Received a call from them 30 minutes ago. I answered and said "hello" about 3 times before they replied back "Hi" and then asked for my wife. I said she isnt around and they hung up instantly. I didnt even get a chance to ask them who they are and a phone number to return to. Had to do "last received caller number" to figure it out.

On the phone with ANZ now - Been through 3 people... None of them think this phone number is legit and they have passed it to investigations team becuase they can't even work out if the number is their's or not...

Okay after 30 minutes on the phone they can tell me that it is a legit number and cannot tell me what the call was about - Even though it is my wife and ALL of our accounts are linked.

lol - clearly trying to market something to the females.

After the first call and checking this website, I have the number saved as ANZ, they have called twice since and I have answered, once they asked to speak to John, I told them they had the wrong number, they hung up, next time when I said hello they just hung up. I still have the number saved as ANZ.
I will be relieved if turns out just to be an ANZ telesaler.

They called me just a few minutes ago also and didn't say a single word...If you have an account with ANZ, do you think whoever called you would hacked into your account? I will and I think you should check your account and complaint to ANZ ASAP to stop this happening to other people.

Missed call @ 11:25am today, no message left, now that I have found this site, I won't wasting my time or money to return the call. Merry Xmas.

Also received a couple of calls today, missed the first then answered the second - no response.  Too bad you can't just send a fax tone back at them!
