They must be doing the rounds, they called me too.  I rang it back on the work land line and it said it was ANZ and that I was called by a outsourced customer service rep.  I don't bank with ANZ.

I received several calls while my phone was switched off yesterday - and 1 call since then. Hopefully this will be the last of it; or I'll have to speak to ANZ. Aren't they supposed to be smarter than this? Don't they "live in [our] world"?

I also just had a missed call from this number and as others have done, I did a google search and thankfully this site came up. Otherwise I might have called them back. Same deal, no message left. Don't bother me!!!

Number called me and I picked up. Hung up after a few seconds.

Called back and message said it was for anz and that another operator would return call at a new scheduled time.

Called ANZ Customer complaints/compliments/suggestions, and was hung up by them before an operator got on the phone.. I'm ready to change banks. Anyone else?

This number called my mobile this afternoon around 1.50.  I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.  Annoying.  Have saved it on my mobile and will not answer it.

These people seem to be desperate. I've had 6 missed calls over the last hour or so. Almost exactly 10mins apart. After reading everyone else's experiences, I'm not going to even bother answering. If it is the ANZ, they should contact me via email, or their online banking site. I'm a shift worker & it doesn't help when I'm trying to sleep! OK, make that 7 calls now. Persistant buggers

Received 3 missed calls from this number today 1.51pm, 1.55pm & 1.56pm.
I am an ANZ customer if it is them I wonder why they didn't leave a voicemail message for me?
ANZ has previously corresponded with me about my accounts by SecureMail on their internet banking or by post, never by phone.
I recently received marketing in the post from them about their Visa card. Maybe they are just
following up.

03 8646 8775 - keeps calling at least 3 times daily!! Once I answered and the lady said she was from ANZ? Why do these people keep calling my mobile no.? If it was from the bank they can send it through post or e-mail. Now I have caller ID and don't answer this number!

Got a call from this number with lady from "bank" saying it was a courtesy call and then she wanted to verify personal details such as name, address and date of birth.  Did not give them any details.  Sounded suspicious to me.  And if it was legit, just as dumb as if it was a scam.

Its just the ANZ spam line - basically what shows up as caller ID when anyone from the Melb branch calls. The amusing factor is despite them calling you, they then need to ask you to confirm your name, address, date of birth etc. I know its the ANZ, but prefer to decline as it is always drummed into us not to give out personal details over the phone to people we dont know... Keeps the call nice and short.

I have had many calls from this number over several weeks, I have had 2 today.  Sometimes there is a message but it is only silence.  I never pick it up as I don't usually unless I know who is calling, if they don't leave a message I'm not interested.  But I'm sick of them calling.

I received 3 calls over the past few days, they didn't leave a message. I googled and found this site. I have ANZ accounts. I won't be calling them back.

I've been getting calls from this number for days. I have simply been ignoring them. From what I've been reading here, I guess it was a good judgement call on my part.

Keep getting calls from this number somtimes a few times in one day, I've stopped answering as no one on the other end when I do.  My friend is also receiving calls from this no. ??  Anyone know where these calls are coming from?

I just get missed calls from this number as they usually call my mobile while I'm at work. I never bother calling them back because I don't know the number.

Non the wiser really, some guy with a broad scot accent almost pleaded with to listen. I did then I said, "good try but as far as I know no bank would ask for personal details"...just dont answer then I guess....very painful.

I USED to be an ANZ customer & had 3 missed calls over the last 3 days on a mobile I rarely use.  I just wish they'd leave a message!  Glad this site is about
