I have had these people call me a few times a week for the last few weeks. I've ignored all calls until yesterday.
Yesterday morning they called and I answered and told them I wasn't interested and hung up. They called again yesterday afternoon and I answered and told them I wasn't interested and hung up. So yesterday I put myself on the do not call register. They have called me today as well - I've gone back to ignoring them!

Was just called by them today, Saturday afternoon.  Didn't answer because I never answer numbers I don't know, and I always Google unknown numbers afterwards just to check.  Thanks to the forum, this number gets marked as 'Oceania Idiots' and will never be answered.

I was sleeping when these [***] woke up me, I picked up the phone and someone was playing a Windows Fatal Error soundboard over and over, I let it run for about 20 seconds and then they hanged up.

If you have already asked to have your number put on the 'Do Not Call Register', but still get calls from these idiots (993777000), write a complaint to the Telecommunications Ombudsman and report it as a form of harrassment. The complaint form can be found here:

But be aware that the Telecommunication Ombudsman take these complaints very seriously, so only report it if you have actually attempted to have these calls blocked but haven't had any success

They called again...REJECTED!

I do not know who called me, must be pretty uegent i reckon, caled 4 times

I've had about a dozen of these calls over the last 2 weeks. When I answer they hang up. If I miss the call they don't leave a voicemail message. I have called optus call centre and reported it but they don't seem to think they have a responsibility to look into it even though it is their own marketing people who are doing this.!!!

I received calls from this number almost every week !!! It is really annoying!

Got this call a few times during the past month, the caller immediately hang up when I answered, suspecting sth. weired! But good to know that this is a malicious number and do need to answer! Should report to police!

Lady says she's from Optus calling to see if I am happy with pre-paid service. Knows my name wants to confirm if it's me she's talking too, asks for address, and I said i didn't want to give her personal details, then she asks for DOB, I said how do I confirm your from optus, she offered to give me employee number, I said call me back in one hour I'm at shops and can't write it down!
