I got sick of recieving calls from this number all day and all night, so my partner answered the phone and told them that we were angry about the annoying calls.  The man who could hardly speak a bit of english ensured our name would be removed from their calling list immediately - haven't heard from them since :)

Just got missed call from this number - hung up as soon as I answered!!

it is an annoying call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  i have got the calls from this number many times these days.

Just received a call from them 10minutes ago, and the lady said "will call you later" I think if they called again, I am going to scold them and ask them to stop calling! Luckily I googled the number and know what's that!

Damn I just missed a call from this number and decided to google it.

This same thing was happening to me about 12 months ago too. There were three  particular numbers that kept calling and I somehow always missed. After googling those they were revealed to all be marketing companies supposedly calling on behalf of optus.

Seems like it's about to start happening to me again :(

I got call from them yesterday saying they are from optus, with whom i have a mobile contract.  they asked for my name then asked if i had land line and internet service.  i said yes.  then they asked if they were with optus and i said said no.  then they asked if i had a laptop connected to the internet and i said yes. i was then expecting a the cross-sell conversation then they hung up.

i called optus to check if they outsourced telemarketing or research services to them and they said they didn't.

very strange .... i am bit concerned as they might have my address also

Yep, I'm with Optus too. What a regret!!! So now I've been getting those stinking calls every day too. I called Optus and asked to have that number blocked. Optus told me that wasn't possible but then offered to change my phone number. What use is that if they then give my new number to the same people? After a bit of an argument they said they would take my name off their list for marketing calls. Of course that hasn't stopped the calls but others here have said it might take a while before my request is processed so I'll reserve judgment on that.

Meanwhile here's something you can do. I have and it works fine:

1 - Identified the number in phone / contacts list as 'Do Not Answer!!!!'
2 - Created a silent ring tone, which is assigned for when that number calls

So when they call my phone doesn't ring and if I happen to notice the phone lighting up the screen says 'Do Not Answer'.

Which I think is about the level of respect those clowns deserve.

As for calling the number back to remove my details I have, as a matter of policy, a practice to never respond to spam - even if it's phone spam. However it is your personal choice whether to agree with me on this though :)

They call me too and I always answer. Then I put the phone down and walk away.

I got a call from this number... like "NO i dotn want to talk to you because you are not part of my address book!!!"

Hmmmm....1 Number:Calling so many,day in and day out!!! How do they keep up and has been doping it for years,it seems!

Every fricken day.. sometimes 2 or 3 times.. It started late last year, stopped for a few months after I told them I was an ptus employee (Lie). And now it is starting all over. I wont answer the calls anymore.

i got a call from this number just now and about 10 other occasions  I've never answered it i can't believe so many people have this same problem call. and why can't we do a reverse number search in white pages every other country can?

2nd week in a row i got this call to my business line, first time i rang back and they said they were a newspaper company?

I too have received multiple calls from the oh-so-annoying 0399377700.  A few wks ago i stopped trying to answer the call as they hung-up on me 3 times or so, since then i have just been ignoring it.  Today my friend answered and they said they were from Optus.  Seems very suss, i guess all i can do is keep ignoring the buggers...

So wierd, I've missed 3 calls from this number in the past 10 days. Out of curiosity I thought I'd google it and thank god I did. What the hell
