Sick to death of cold calls - am certain that these are unwanted calls as the caller(s) persistently get the surname slightly wrong. Perhaps picking up on poor pronunciation from a foreign call centre, although recently have all been genuinely british accents at the other end of the line.

I received a call from this mobile from an English spoken guy who said he was this was a "security awareness" call and asked if I had an alarm system at my house. I said I had appropriate measures, then he went on to ask if it was a managed service. At this point I told him that I had everything including security cameras.  He then said sorry to waste your time sir.  Very polite, but there are 2 options here.  1. He was trying to sell me a security system, or 2. He was calling with the intention of breaking into my property.   Beware of these people!!

Caller claimed to be offering "Funding" for replacement widows and doors after a visit for a "Risk Assessment".
Thinly disguised sales/foot-in-door blag. Funding morphed into "discount", risk assessment morphed into "survey" on questioning. Caller claimed I was wasting their time with questions!
Could be the same outfit as Colin was called by, I suspect the later motive.

Someone called Kirsty phoned from this number, claiming to be from "Security Awareness Scotland" and with a Glasgow/ West of Scotland accent.

Block these numbers from a pest who gives various names (which seems anything but the real company to avoid repercussions from reporting to TPS & ICO)

Subsidy entitlement, Scottish spoken lady, very polite, knew boiler was over 10yrs old, asked age range and if home owner, assessor to phone back, guess what I won't be in.

Substidy entitlement, called 78 year old mother - luckily I was there, asking for address details etc. Beware
