Have received about 30 calls this morning (29/12/09)to my ex-directory landline stating that a ( blank ) text message has been sent from 07504508942 and requiring me to ring 07953966066 to either receive the message or stop the calling service. The calls occurred in clusters of three or four sometimes ringing again within seconds of my hanging up, separated by periods of about 5 minutes. I have a feeling that the frequency of calls may be influenced by the rate at which you pick up, because we have ignored the last three calls and it has stopped.
I am still minded to see if there is revenge to be exacted upon them.

recieved 5 calls from this number in one hour . not funny when i have mobility problems at the moment.and expecting a call from the hospital.this is obviously a scam of some sort

Yet another junk call !

Received call at 23:58 last night from 07953966066, which was read out to me as "Happy New Year Chris twenty ten". It also stated the claimed source of this text (0779 something, I think, but I didn't have a chance to note it down). It woke my wife up. I decided to wait till this morning and then check whocallsme.com before ringing back. Having now read the remarks on this site about this number I don't think I'll bother! I hope it's not going to become a regular thing, though ...

Got a call from that number yesterday at 19:43.
My 10 year old girl picked it up and got very distressed as it mentioned something along the line "What if a member of your family had died..."
Time to get this scam sorted once and for all.

Also happened to us on Christmas day & again early this morning.  Just Happy Christmas / New year message each time.  The number given was different, but also didn't have time to write it down, but this number is from 1471.  What can be done about it?

I've just cancelled text messages to my landline by phoning BT automated service on 0800 5875252 option 1 then 5 (allows you to set various "curfews" for voice/text messages).  It's not right that you should have to do this though.

I received a call to phone this 07953 966066 number. I thought it might be dodgy so did not.  A friend was taken into hospital by ambulance last night in an emergency situation, so I am expecting a call, most likely from a mobile. Is there some way of stopping ,prosecuting these sammers?

left call on personal mobile with an barely audible message. I rang back (because it is my job to respond to any phone call) to be informed that no messages can be left at present.

If this is a telesales company please delete my number from your call box.

I was called by this number at 12.47 AM on 11 January. A recording of a woman's voice played, saying that someone had sent me a text message: "Friends are like balloons; you don't want to let them go, so tie them to your heart" or something like that. Then the voice said that if I felt the same, to return the message, or something to that effect. Really disgusting, especially so late!

I also found this number on my 1571 answere phone Jan 12th 2010 i have not replied but deleted the message caled about the same time 12:17

i posted something about this number a while back, a message left by some1 saying my hubbys cheating on me bla bla bla... anyway i decided2call this number today after getting another message with my landline and it gives u an option to stop getting calls from that number which is what i did...hopefully i wont get anymore messages!

i suggest u all do the same but u have2 call it with the number ur being pranked on!

Number is dialled from a another mobile 07913 708283 as a Text Message with the name of "Blank" and requires you to call back to 07953 966066 to stop the calls. This action does not work. The call is made at several minute intevals over the 24 hrs period. It stops incoming calls and the owner is forced to unplug the phone to get rest.
Some phone network owns these numbers and can get disconnect the phone numbers.

So far only one call from this number for a text message.

Came in from work to find a mssg on my 1571 saying call  07953 966066 - not likely i just don't trust it.

Frustrating, annoying and confusing, Message on answerphone asking to ring back at 20.39 and again at 21.10, no message and again 21.35 and 21.58.    It was then that I asked with a knowlegable IT friend to check the number for me before I rang.  And here I am!

This is the second time I have received a call from this number on my landline. When I answer there is a text message (last one was of a sexual and rude nature and was received at 1am which woke my baby) and if I want to respond or cancel the service I have to ring 07956966066. I know not to do this but can understand that some people may respond.

I got an automated message from this number.  I called the number to pick up the message and it was total nonsense, the message was "could get a big house near the venue"  which of course is an idiotic message to send anyone.  

The number it gave with the message is not a real phone number.  Please ignore these calls if you get one as it will cost to call that number.  It makes me cross becuase I have better things to do with my time than be messed about
