I got woken up at 4.45am by a call.  The message it left on my 1571 service just said "this is the message".  Incredibly annoying.  I've used the 0800 number above to cancel the service and I'm going to complain to Ofcom.

Ok so we received the first call this morning at 00.16 am in the morn .. my dad was kinda like ur joking at this time of the night, so my brother picked it up and all there was was silence and then heavy breathing down the phone so they continued to listen to it until the other end eventually hung up. After this my dad left the phone off the hook so they wouldn't be able to get through , came to the answer phone around 9am this morning to find 2 more calls mere made at 00.25 and 00.42 not sure if any messages were left but is extremely annoying !!

Rang my home phone 3 times between 23.15 and 01.45.  I didn't answer or call it back.

Recieving call at 5.45am, elderly parents and this is not acceptable. How can this can be stopped?

Getting about 6 calls a day with a purported text message.

Its the T-Mobile Text to Speech Number. Someone has sent a text from T-Mobile or one of the networks that piggy back on it eg Virgin to your BT landline.

You can call BT on 0800 587 5252 from your BT Line to control these type of messages.

breathing fire at the moment:  Right.. I had a call from this number but it actually named my son in law as the one sending me the text, which was "blank".  So I have had to call him (at the hospital where he works) to ensure all is OK with him and daughter.

I don't want to opt out of all text to land line messages - just this one!  Help anyone out there?????

A call to my BT phone line and from BT ansa, saying, 'I miss you baby, I've had a good morn so far, see you soon' I've sent text messages to home lines before and thought someone had just got the number wrong. I created a text to say, your lovely text has been sent to my number by mistake and it would be a shame for the person for whom it was intended not to receive your text. I then received a text from T mobile to say, this number can't receive texts.  I decided to search the number online. How could I have got to this age and still be such a 'divvy'

i have been getting phone calls like the rest of you to my landline saying i have a message & asking me to call 07953966066 the last one was at 11pm, i have been getting thhis same message for days now!!

I never really give out my landline number to anyone only to immediate family , i havent rang it back , just deleted the message as its a bit odd to me!

Had 4 of these phoned 07953966066  and picked up meesage was from a friend on t0mobile who sent a text to house phone instead of mobile,

Ring 07953966066  listen or delete messeage and follow instuctions to select option to stop any further calls / notifications (if required)

i keep getting blank calls asking me to call this number i got 14 today to my land line, it says it was sent from 07951 703343 so i bombarded this number with txts from a free txt service i sent them 500 txt it has stopped now if you get them do the same use voipcheap.com to send its free.

Got the call from the above number and couldn't quite make it out except for the number, straight on Google found this thread and 0800 as above option 5. Thanks didn't even know that number existed

I received a call from 07953966066 to my landline. The message came as I had received a text from my own mobile number.  I had not used my mobile to send a text.  I think this should be investigated.

Got 2 of these calls on house phone from 07953966066 this morning saying i have a Blank Text .. Hubbs was not pleased as he had been on nights and only been in bed 2 hours .. Did a quick google and found loads of reports..gonna give the 0800 number a go ..

Received 5 repeated calls in succession from 07953966066 on our business answer phone this morning, between 9.15-9.40.  The message was garbled and said something like, 0124 then the rest was garbled.  Done 1471 and this number came up.  Have not called the number back.  It looks like someone has complained to T-mobil back in June 2008 but it does not seem as though they have done anything about it!!

Had several calls from 07953966066, saying there is a message from 07504 322301.The message was "blank"
Phoned 0800 587 5252(from my home phone) and got through to B.T.Chose option 5 to stop ANY voice text messages.The same thing worked on my Virgin landline(business line)Both recognised the number I was calling from, and said the block would apply in 20 minutes.
Not had a call since, but early days yet.

this rang this morning at 7.50am  went to 1571 when I didn't answer it, did it 3 more times in a row so got out of bed to answer it were it said I had a text which was blank it rang a few more times in a row when I checked my 1571 it was full of the same blank message, I rang the number from my land line and cancelled the text message  service and they seems to have stopped dont know who it was though

Called today just before 2.30.  My wife rang back and it a message not even meant for us.  Have followed Adrian's advice (24th Sep 2008) and used the 0800 number he gave and blocked all SMS messages.

I just received a call from this number.  It was a somewhat garbled text message that seemed to say the following:

Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you.  Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye, never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.

I thought it was a scam still not sure if i've been charged for the call yet, I phoned BT don't know what they did but I heared the same message as I had earlier she then gave me the original caller's number which turned out to be a friend who in his state of just woken up mode sent the text to my house phone & not my mobile. More & More people are discovering text to landline as they think it can be funny, some are probably accidents sent to your landline by mistake when it's meant to be a text...
