Looks like whoever it is is at it again as I had a call and a message to my landline on Monday - I deleted it, was tempted to call the number but so glad I didn't now!

Got a call this morning at 0830hrs on a Sunday!!! let it go to 1571, listened to the message where an automated voice ask you to call back the number 07953966066. CLearly a complete load of sh*te.

I have just discovered that this number is a call text service. if you call the number back then press 3, you get options to unable the texts from coming to your phone.  it was a joke/text message.

Got a message on my answer phone this morning 'Something about someone having a nice time with Molly watching 'two young pheasants.' Interesting but still a scam with a nice little heart warming story that attempts to 'draw you in' don't be conned - leave well alone. Still credit where it is due they are now a  'creative nuisance.'

I receive annoying automated text messages from this number. VERY frustratingly there does not seem to be a way to opt out of them?? Anyone know any way this can be done?

I am getting so many calls from this number, all telling dirty jokes littered with swear words. I do not want to call back as I suspect a scam.  Can they be stopped without having to pay my phone provider for call blocking?

I have had 4 calls from this number. I have now switchedf my phone off !!!!
It means that I can't get calls to my number. Sunday morning I do not want this.

I have had twelve calls from this number on my home phone after saying I had a text message from 07957526551 and that I should call 07953966066 to hear it.

There's some information on the internet that suggests this number is a virgin media/BT number that delivers text messages. This is not apparently the case - of course, BT does offer such a service, but when BT delivers a text message to a landline you will see the number 0845 602 1111 (08456021111) as the calling line identity.

However, when you get a call from 07953966066 you do get an automated voice message delivered (using text to speech synthesis) apparently from another mobile . This is all part of trying to make the service sound real.

Of course, the killer indicator that this is a scam, is the request to call the 07953 number back to repeat or delete the message. At best this call would be at mobile rate, at worst, some kind of premium rate. A couple of minutes calling back and the scammers have potentially racked up a few pounds from you.

It's not obvious whether you can stop these calls, unless you block their CLI (for example using BT's "choose to refuse" service.

However, you can generally control the delivery of BT text messages to your landline by calling 08005875252 (note how it's free!) To turn them off completely choose option 1 then 5. Of course, this turns off all messages, which may not be desirable.

They left a message on my business landline answerphone, asking me to ring them back quoting case number:

One million seven hundred thousand!! - hmmm......scam!!

I never reply to these - if people want to leave a message they can... will phone BT or whoever and try and get this to stop, as the first one I've had, but it seems from other posts I may get more..

got a call from this number saying " get ready for revenge " then 2 days later got a sms message on landline "we're gonna get you"

It just called five minute's ago and the text message was "I Love you xxxx" in a womans voice twice so i typ'ed the number in on google and this came up weird.

I got a text on my landline a few minutes ago saying to please ring them as soon as I'm up and about.  Didn't recognise the number and was coming online anyhow so googled it and found you lot.  Glad I didn't ring.

07953966066 called at 10.25am to my landline with a message that we need to "take a picture of the girls at work so i can send it to mum"..... the message at the end of the txt was to call the same number back to listen to it again.
I might call it back, i have £10 burning a hole in my pocket..... ;)

How bizarre. I've had a call from these weirdos on my mobile but as I don't answer spam and fraudster filth the backward subhuman savages can just keep wasting their money trying to call me. very inferior a*seholes. Judging by what everyone else is saying here these [***] are very much in need of a good kicking

got a missed call message  female voice to ring 07953966066. I wont ring any unknown number as there are too many cams going on. Advise not to ring!!!!
