- Paul replies to Paul ShaperoI received a text call to my landline at 0656 this morning. The text said 'The order has been cancelled' and then some unintelligible tripe followed.

- SianPlease everyone, it is not a scam, you will not get charged horrendous amounts of money and it is easily stopped.
This is a text to landline service provided by T-Mobile. If someone froma T-Mobile phone sends a text, whether by mistake or not, to your landline, this service holds the message and then calls you to tell you that you have a message and to call this number 07953966066
This number will keep ringing you until you have listened to the message. For those that are getting nasty/malicious messages, I suggest you find out who you have peed off recently.
I have just called the 07953966066 number after recieving 2 calls from it. However it told me that I did not have any messages stored. BUT some companies use these services to send out automated messages.
I have already used the 0800 number for BT to cancel these kind of calls before (about 1 month ago) but they were for messages that are stored by BT. As this is not BT but T-Mobile, you do need to call the number they give you.
You will get 3 options, 1 is to allow the service to notify you of messages at any time of the day, 2 is to allow the service to notify you of messages between 8am and 11pm and 3 is to not allow the service to call you at all.
If you don't want to recieve these calls to notify you that you have a message or are getting abusive messages, then call and choose option 3. You will not recieve any more and you DO NOT get charged stupid prices for this, I checked with my provider after I made the call.
*Not a scam* *Not going to get charged silly money* *Not going to confirm your identity to Big Brother* Simply cancel the service- Caller: T-Mobile message platform

- KaytI have had various voice text messages from this number over a period of about a month, all the same - regarding an address. I did try to call the mobile number back stupidly thinking it was a mistake from a company or person and figured it was probably a scam as it didnt connect properly.
Until now I have deleted all messages but then typed the number in on google and got forwarded to here.
I read a post about calling 0800 5875252 and choosing to stop voice text messages. I chose to do this as people text my mobile if they want to text and surely realise their mistake if they do it to my home number, so I opted out of them in the hope that this will stop these annoying pointless and waste of time messages from an unknown source!!
Here's hoping everyone else does the same!- Caller: Unknown

Apparently you have to call the number to stop receiving the message, in short they are getting money from people annoyed enough to do that! - simon parkerI received an obscene call. The caller just texted '[***]' to my land line which went to a voicemail

- ruthI too received a voice mail on my land line from a lady with foreign accent, claiming to have met me and my daughter on holiday in Tunisia (She actually had our right names).Didn't get to hear all the message as answephone has broken. I did not give my number to anyone on holiday. So somewhat baffled. Did try to text using mobile fo find ou she she was, but it was blocked fortunately. But cetainly will be checking my mobile bill for anything untoward
- Caller: claimed to have met on holiday
- AngelaThis number is definitely the T-Mobile text to Landline message service. My son accidently sent a text to my landline instead of my mobile and this number showed up on my Caller ID on my handset. If you listen carefully the automated voice begins the message by " you have received a text message fron ......(then it says the mobile number that has sent it." You can listen to the message again by phoning 07953966066. I was slightly baffled as usually text to landline numbers come via a BT 0845 number . But it really is not a scam just a service providing an automoted voice of texts sent to landlines..

- DVDfeverI can confirm what Angela said above. It's nothing sinister, it's T-Mobile's text to landline service. I've sent myself such texts simply because it's the easiest way to just make a note of something, by sending a text to a phone number that doesn't matter, ie. my own. Then I'll get to where I'm going, look at the 'sent text' and see what I needed to remember. Usually something about groceries.

- lornacalled at 4 AM left a text mesage saying 'got home safley x' ?
- NanaLeeMy mobile said that I received a call from this number at 8.03am yesterday - this I know is not true as I carry it arround in my back pocket and would have been aware if it rang - which it did not. I cancelled the number straight away from my received calls list and am now glad to know that other people are also receiving these calls. Being aged 64years it was worrying as to how somebody I did not know had got hold of my mobile number - but I now feel better having read everyone else's messages.
- Susie Millsphone 20 time over 4 hours saying words that where NOT nice and it started again this ,morning- who is it how can i stop it
