who is ths?  called 4 times on 26th December 10. says text message.. but none left.  called back (using 141) and message says have to send text?  

I changed my flopping number in NOvember, because of flopping sales calles from banks etc...  now its starting again, and I am on the preference list... what good is that?  I am changing from BT because I never had this trouble with sky.

Just had a call from this number today. First left on mobile, then on landline (message to say this person has phoned). On phoning it I only got the message "Welcome to the 6-line text service" then asked if I wanted to hear it in my own voice, press hash if not. Then to phone again if I wanted to hear that again". Mobile is with T-Mobile: on phoning them a telephonist first said "aha!" as though she knew what I was ringing about. Then asked me to hold, came back on saying that it was nothing to do with them. Strange how I never had this until just now when I have a new phone (moved from Orange to T-Mobile).

had a call from this number they said they where calling on behalf of altziemers ? how can we trace it back ?

Just had a call from this number, as the number showed, and I didn't recognise it, I didn't answer. Just as it said above, a message asking me to call a mobile number from 'this landline'l Not a chance - going to have the number in my phone to not answer. If they want to leave a proper message, then fine I'll call back but until people stop messing about I will neither answer an unknown number or call one.

On Jan 2nd I got a call on my home phone which is an unpublished number known only to my family and close friends.  One is very old and has my number for emergency calls.  As it was 7:30 a.m. I naturally answered it. A text like message with a female voice announced that I had a text message as follows: "Blank" she said followed by instructions to phone a number to repeat the message.  I had no pen to write down the number so did nothing.  January3rd about the same time I got a second "Blank" call and managed to write down the number 07953 966066 which I called back. "you have two messages" she said " press one to only receive these messages between 7:30 and 11"  I pressed 1. Your first message is............."Press one to receive your second message" I pressed 1 "................... "There are no more messages".  Obviously a scam.  I will call BT and have all calls from that number barred.

Following up on my last re 07953 966066 .  I contacted BT on 0800 800 150, and having got through to the complaints desk, I was assured that the above number is a T Mobile number and is legitimate.  So it isn't a scam atall.  I phoned my old gentleman who has one of these Binatone Big Button mobile phones (Model BB200).
It turns out that he had been fiddling with it on both mornings, got confused and then switched it off.  As he doesn't know how to send text messages, he obviously somehow sent a text to my home phone which was blank.  Problem solved!
So if you get one of these calls from that number, chances are that it really came from a friend or relation who got confused and who's mobile phone is with T-Mobile.

received two text message 'voicemails' within 15 minutes late in the evening wishing me a happy new year. It was the day after new year so didn't make sense and I could not understand the names of the people who had supposedly left this message. There was no request to call anyone back so I don't understand the purpose or if it is a scam. All of these types of calls should be banned and the people instigating them jailed. They are upsetting and disturbing to receive and people should realise that there are people out there on their own plus suffering with serious illness and worries. The people organising these types of 'scams' really need to get a life and have something serious to worry about. Furthermore, I am ex-directory which at one point used to mean just that but it appears no longer. These idiots should not be able to get hold of ex-directory numbers whatever the price.

left a message on my landline saying, im going to kill you????

Have had a text message on my phone today saying they have forwarded a message to a landline number I've never even heard of which is odd!  Looks like T Mobile (who are my mobile service provider) have got a glitch in their system somewhere and need to get themselves sorted if it's upsetting people!

if someone is going to send you a txt message they will send it to your mobil not your landline, so dont reply, it"s probably a scam. as to a "premium rate" no. at high cost per minute.

A collegue received a txt telephone message from this number. Unsure who it was from??

As soon as England won the Ashes...got a voice saying "GET IN!"....called back thinking it was a mate....but got answer machine.

Got two text messages in 3 minutes today from this number - although part of the text was to tell me that the message came from another number - both saying  "Do you know Kenny Dalglish is a homosexual?"

got 3 calls from this number. The first at midnight saying  ' leave my man alone this year you [***] or you will be sorry' and then another exactly 12 hours later at 12 noon ' saying' stay away slag, you have been warned' . received a third the following morning at 1am but no message was left . . . . . .I phoned my line provider and they said that they had had several calls recently about this same thing and that if it continued to just inform the police. I will wait with baited breath to see if I get a call at some ungoldy hour tonight. My young children heared both messages ( the first by mistake as I was replaying my answer phone messages) and the second as they were there when it came through - not good for them to hear.
