got a call this morning - just deleted - what a scam!!

Received a call from 07953 966066 at 6:10 this morning on our landline.   No message left.   Not anyone we have logged on landline or mobile.   Didn't call back on either but did an internet search on the number and found you good people.

If it happens again, what is the best advice for handling it.?

Re previous message, incidentally, the landline called is ex-directory.

this evil swines phoned leaving text asking me if i taras mum and i not seen tara in 2years i was so happy thinking my daugter was in touch how bad are they doing this to me and the family

Got a text message call at work today off this number - 0750653405 - some crap about paddy and pets? The message also gave this number to ring to find out more -07953966066 ?????

What is it a scam to charge calls to your phone or what?

Searched number here as I thought it was a scam...... after speaking with daughter it was because she had text my house instead of my mobile. The number is virgin media, voice text.

I have recived a phone call from this number at 4am yesterday morning saying "everyone in your house is going to heaven" this really worried me i have alot of problems going on at the moment and have 4 young children. I have contacted the police and im waiting for them to get back to me i call the number back without thinking and it said something about sending a text i hung up straight away i hope im not charged the earth.

Called on landline and a recorded message said "you old washer woman" !  did 1471 to check number that called and it was 07953 966066.  Called the number back on landline and it just said 'you have no more messages'

Received a message on my landline phone with a computer voice saying "vielen Dank" (German) and some rubbish which was supposed to be German but which I could not understand.I am actually German you know  but it was useless garabage.The message was to call the above number to receive an SMS.Is this just a coincidence?Of course I do not intend to reply.

got call from both of these numbers 07508710029 and 07593966066 message on my land line  could not understand  both con's i think

I just had a call bearing in mind all of the trouble in london of someone asking me for help

Just about had enough of these barstards, I have sick parents who live a long distance from me, these selfish irresponsible calls, waiste my time and tie up my phone

I had nine calls from this number 4.09am, I unplug my phone at night time other wise I would have had a rude awakening, just as well for them too! same as all the other previous ones it tells me to call a number to stop receiving them, yea like right.

I am fed up of these calls.

Message received at 10.47 a.m. today, Wednesday 17th August 2011.  Probably originated as a text message and  cleverly converted into English "speech".  However I did not understand the message and these uninvited interruptions are most annoying and should be reported to the police or whichever?

Me too.  Any suggestions as to what can be done to stop it?

The 07953 966 066 number calls to advise when you have been sent a text message to your landline.

The message is converted to speech and read out to you.

In order to opt out of this do the following;

BT number 0800 587 5252 selet option 1 then 5
T-mobile 07953 966 066 select option 2 then 3

These instructions were previously posted and work fine.
