I keep getting calls from this number as well, has rang 3 times in the last 10 minutes, when you answer there is no-one there, it is getting bloody annoying, next time they ring they are gonna get a piece of my mind, I am going to Email Orange customer services and tell them what I think of their unsolicited calls and say that unless it stops I am going to another provider

Had a call from this number 5 minutes ago..didn't know the number so let it go to answer phone just heard a couple of northern sounding lads having a convo and using alot of foul language...shall save the recorded msg for any future ref with whoever is using the number :o)

I got a call from this number today - about an hour after visiting an orange shop to discuss a possible upgrade. The lady on the line was polite, knew my name, how much I paid a month, my address and the fact that I was now due an upgrade on my current contract. All pretty convincing.

The problem was that she spent a fair amount of time telling me how rubbish the "other" orange staff were and how only she, on the Orange Loyalty team could offer me this fantastic deal on the phone I wanted, double talktime and unlimited internet for £15 less per month than I am currently paying. She told me that only 10% of Orange customers will get this call and it's a one time thing, I either accept it now or they'll never offer it again.

last year around the same time I got a call from someone saying they were from Orange and - long story short - when I asked that guy a few questions he started shouting and swearing at me. So this time I was a little more wary. She couldn't explain why I had been singled out, couldn't explain why I couldn't call back to take advantage of the deal, couldn't explain why if she was going to "note my file" as she kept stating (threatening?) that I wouldn't be able to see that on my online account or why if she was calling from Orange that her number didn't show up that way on my phone.

I really wish I had been sitting at my computer when I received the call as I would have liked to hear her explanation for her number showing up on websites like this.

I didn't think it was worth the gamble as I'm a firm believer that if something sounds too good to be true then it probably is and you're going to get conned.

The whole thing is pretty unsettling, I'm paranoid enough about who holds my data, this really doesn't help.

Just received 3 calls within 10 minutes from this number. I called Orange themselves & they said there was nothing they could do about it. Can't turn my phone off (or put it on silent) as am waiting for an important call!!!!!

Had a call from this number but ignored it (don't answer numbers I don't know due to ridiculous amounts of sales calls etc) and then googled it and found this website.

I am with Orange and recently contacted them for a PUK code so we can switch to a different provider?  Not sure if that has anything to do with it but even still, at least I know not to bother answering.

This number is still in use and have been calling me on it!! grrrr

I get calls from this number every couple of days - there is never anyone there when I answer it!

This number has rang me twice and I want to know how they have my number!!!!!! there is only background noise

Picked up a call from this number and it was a lady saying she was from Orange and that it was just a courtesy call. I said I couldn't speak and she said she would be calling back or I could call 150 if I need to?! I am with Orange and have also been getting calls from 08450264732-After reading comments on this website I'm assuming the two are linked and are a scam.

I had three calls from this number this morning - each almost exactly an hour after the last.

I picked up on the third one and had a woman answer immediately, say she was from Orange and asked for the first two characters of my password.  As the number was a mobile, and I had nothing to prove she was from Orange, I refused and said that I would call back through the 150 number on my phone and talk to someone that I could verify was from Orange.  She said "of course, we get a lot of people asking to do that but if you call through 150 they won't know what the issue is so they won't be able to help".

That set alarm bells ringing - if its so important why wouldn't there be a flag on my account, at least so that the main call centre know where to direct me!

So, I asked why exactly was she calling and what was the issue.  To which she responded "I can't tell you that unless you give me your password details".  Then I asked which department I needed to be put through to by the main call centre and again the answer was "I can't tell you that unless you give me your password details"

I kept pushing her for some information and she just got really angsty.  Eventually she said that I could call 178 rather than 150 if I wouldn't talk to her.  

After that, I called 178 to find it was the number for payment of outstanding bills and there seems to be no way to talk to anyone from that number - its all automated payment.  

I pay by direct debit and have no outstanding bills (I checked online) so I called 150 to talk to Orange directly and find out what's going on.  I talked to a very nice woman from the main call centre who confirmed that I had no outstanding bills and that everything was fine.  She took down the number that had called me and said that they would look into it but in the meantime not to worry as there was nothing wrong with my account.

She said that they would call back once they had investigated.  That was 5 hours ago and I haven't heard anything since but I'll post back if I do.

This number has pestered for days, when you answer, it's just static and no-one speaks.
I am with Orange, on a monthly contract - have been a customer for over 12 years.  3 months ago, my account showed odd text messages from 78000 numbers.  I rang to complain and they refunded £28 worth of charges that were added to my phone.  This month over £800 of text charges have been added to my monthly charge of £40, which was a shock, but even more shocking?  They won't refund, they give you numbers to call, which ring out or don't connect in order to ask for money back.  They cannot tell you which company it is, or how they got your number, they won't assist in any way.  Absolute joke.  Say they will investigate, they don't bother, they put you on hold for over 20 mins, passing you from person to person, they cut you off.  I have been to trading standards who are disgusted by them.  So please be wary of giving out your number, please complain about any odd things on your account and most of all, think of pay as you go phones instead.

I've just had to call orange about something, when they called me back, this no came up, so it does appear to be orange customer services

i had a call from 07973100194 at around 2030 today. i answered and a woman on the other end of the line appeared shocked someone had answered. she then apologised and said "sorry, whos that". I replied with my first name. she said, "oh.... thats wierd". i said whys that and she said "are you selling anything at the moment" and i said yes as it goes im selling a ford focus. she apologised again and hung up.

all very strange but at least she didnt pretend to be orange!
my first thought was she had found my number somewhere and wondered whos it was.

Have been called by this number twice now with no response when I pick up.

After about ten calls, when someone eventualyl did answer I screamed back down that phone at the person on the other end of teh line to "Stop calling me or I will visit you in the small hours and shove a bat up your nightdress". The guy laughed nervously, and I never got another call. The people in my office were a little stunned....
