Been rung by this number for the 8th time this week (its only Wednesday). Reading most of these comments on here I have a feeling it isn't Orange. I say this because I have emailed them and they stated 'that this is a non-orange number' - the fact the 07973100 is Orange makes me wonder...but maybe thats the ploy if it is a scam.

What makes this wierd is the fact that like others that have commented or maybe reading these statements is that i have recently signed up for interest in the new I-Phone that is being offered by Orange...probably somehow connected...if it is also orange i clicked the Email only button so will play bloodehell with them!

Was rung by this number just now guy said he was from Orange saying i had a barred handset in my name, told him i wasnt an Orange customer and he was surprised to hear this as apparently i had a credit c heck done on me nby phones for you on the 18th August 2009. Asked my name said the phones for you store in Huddersfiled had carried this out funny that i live in the South East?
Very suspicious so i contacted by credit check company who said they have no recored of a credit check on that date.By looking at all your previous comments think i was right to be wary and i think i shall be ignoring this number in future altho makes you worry where these people are getting your contact details from in the 1st place!

I had this call load of times  it was annoying me so much i awnsered and said if you dont stop ringing ill go on to another network since then i have been free for there calls =D

got a call from this number about 1.30pm but caller said nothing then hung up!! sooo annoying!!

Got a call from this number, and the 0845 number mentioned. First got a call from the 0797 number last week, and thought it was a number I had forgotten to transfer from my old phone, then they have rung four times today and not left a message - which I assumed a person needing to phone that often would do - so checked online.

I have just joined orange from o2, and am not happy if this is going to be a continuous thing (which it seems to be judging from comments!)

This is definitely Orange. I am an orange customer and have been having some technical problems with my handset. After numerous calls to tech support (which is another story...) I was called back on this number about the issue by a very efficient customer services lady. I was not asked for any personal data so if it is a scam it is an extremely subtle and efficient one since they already knew the details of the ongoing technical issue.
Sounds like many departments at Orange use this same number.

I on occasion have had a call from this number, they never leave a message, and I do not answer calls from numbers I do not know.  However this is really annoying

Called tonight about a survey told them I was leaving for O2 when contract was up asked if I knew my billing date said I did but made one up.Cant see how they profit from annoying people but roll on March when I escape to O2

This is orange.......its their cutomer relations number. Most companies (even other networks) will have access to your basic details as these are provided via newsgroup lists....also known as spam. All they are trying to do is eiter move people form pay as you go to contract or upgrade your current contrac. THIS IS COMMON PRACTICE WITH ALL NETWORKS. Hope this helps

***SPOKE TO ORANGE ON 150 - CALL CENTRE GUY SAID ORANGE WILL *NOT* RING FROM AN 07 NUMBER - it will show as 'unknown'. Maybe he is wrong, but the guy who rang from this number was very weird and rather shirty when I refused to discuss my account with him. If they were legit would they not let YOU call orange to do it with them? Straight to my blocklist!

God does anyone know how to stop it? it's really annoying

For anyone saying that thi sisn't Orange, phone 07973 100194 from a landline and it says "You were called today by an Orange Customer Relations representative.  They will try and contact you again shortly".

Hi, just had a call from this number at 8.00pm tonight, didn't answer it thought I would look here first.

Its definitely Orange, theres no conspiracy folks... Am constantly amazed by people who 'don't answer numbers they don't know'. Are you that self absorbed that you genuinely believe you have the number in your phone of everybody in the world thats worth speaking to??? Try living a little, just answer the phone, you can always hang up again....
