Well - Surprise Surprise I was called by Orange also. I of course evaded the call with " I am at work" but they said they would re-arrange another time to call me so i quickly asked what it was regarding...The caller (definitely a trained call centre employee, decent manner etc.) advised that it was merely a cusotmer satisfaction call and to advise me of new and better products available to me, it was of course then that it hit me:

ORANGE DON'T HAVE NEW AND BETTER PRODUCTS AND THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN INTERESTED IN MY SATISFACTION

So yeah avoid this number its a definite scam! Oh and on a serious note its not orange because I asked about new offers quite frequently and they always advise that i am not entitled to any (not that I am bitter :| )

Didn't answer as I didn't know the number, googled it, don't think I'll be answering it any time soon from reading these comments if they call again.

Just been called again at around the same time. Mid-Way through my media Studies lesson /again/. Very annoying, trying to log into my Orange account to blacklist the number.

this number "07973100194" called my land line number  my voicemail picked up the call the message left was a woman chatting to somone else saying "I've forgotton which section I have to go in again" and that was it..???

Just like to add that this definately is Orange Customer Services, but its not a scam. I have just emailed regarding a problem with my account, and they phoned straight away from this number to sort it out. Although, just because its not a scam that doesnt mean you shouldnt avoid it...Im sure they're contacting most people to try and sell them something!

I got a call they asked for me by name and then it cut out.

What's the deal with orange have they been bought out I keep getting odd phone calls and calls from other networks trying to get me to change.

I keep getting this number ringing me too. I just told them that I new it was a scam and I was going to report them. It was amazing how quickly they hanged up hahaha.. don't trust them or give them any details of any kind!

Well I had them call me today and they could tell me what call plan I was on, after I asked them to prove who they were. I was asked for my full 4 digit security code and stupidly gave it. I was then asked loads of questions about was I aware of this that and the other. I called Orange straight after and nobody can tell me if this is actually Orange calling or not!
So I have changed my security and advised them there maybe a scam caller pretending to be them....
The Idiot I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about and not much help...
I am gonna email Orange to tell them about this..... and if it is them to S*D off with the cold calling as I only moved to them a few weeks ago...

I got call from these today but didn't answer. No idea how they got my number as I'm on contract with Vodafone and have never been with Orange!

They only started calling me a few days ago and I haven't picked up.. same with another telephone number. Glad I googled both numbers and found this website. I read that they also call at night sometimes, that would be horrible, can someone confirm that? Also, some of you say that you picked up the phone and told them to stop calling; did this help or not? Not sure if it will get any better if I just keep ignoring them?

Every Monday morning I get a call from this number. Bloody annoying.

This IS Orange as I have been contacted by them today.  I applied for a job with them and they used this number to contact me.  I don't understand why it's a mobile number but anyhow, they aren't bogus unless I have bogus interview tomorrow - I'll let you know lol!  

I think they must use the same number for a multitude of purposes.

I only started getting calls from this number and 01925555601 and 08716634321 when I got a new phone from Carphone warehouse, I am on Orange but have never had problems before. So I am blaming Carphone Warehouse and not Orange. The only problem is that Orange say they can't block numbers from contacting me :(

got a call from 07973100194 but because i was working and couldn't get to the phone what was lucky really
what is orange up to? maybe its oranges way to make a couple bob or two must be struggling for money and customer to go on pay monthly.

Have started getting calls from this number within the last week. Seems to have coincided with my registering interest in the iPhone (Orange to start stocking it soon). Am currently PAYG, on a 5 yr old spare handset, so I'll most probably laugh if I do speak to them about phone insurance.

I had a call from this number just now 16:15 05/11/2009


It was from a man who said his name is Mark. He was a Geordie. He said he was from Orange. My network is indeed Orange.

He says he knows I registered my interest in the i-phone on the Orange website which is correct - I did so online a few months ago.

He said they have a limited amount of 8GB i-phones in stock and whether I would consider going on a 24 month contract at £30 a month to get one. He said the phone is £350 outright on pay as you go.

I said I would think about it but did not give him any details/bank account numbers etc. There was a delay when I answered the phone and the line was very crackly.

I think it might be a scam though so I'm not going to give out any further details tomorrow.

He says he will give me time to think about it and call me back tomorrow.....

I have never answered these calls and it stopped for awhile.  Now they have started again I wonder if it will increase now as Orange try and get people signed up to the new i-phone.  I'm still tied into my contract for some months but am considering moving to another provider if these unsolicited calls continue. Contacting Orange has no effect they choose to ingnore the problem.

I keep getting calls from them and this is an old orange pay as you go sim. it used to be on contract over 2 years ago and since starting to sign up to things online with this number I have started getting these calls. probably purchased the number from a legitimate company.

Got second call just now from this number this week. I just don't answer it. They are a pain.
