Another vote of no confidence for "Amanda Turner" from me. Selling a Yamaha digital piano for £600 (ad now taken down) and couldn't deliver after all, so arranged "free Parcelforce delivery" - same as above. Merry Christmas indeed. Is anyone up for a bit of scam-baiting?

She has been a busy bee, hasn't she? 'Amanda / Amy' tried to scam me out of £40 for a fridge freezer off of gum tree. I hope she has a miserable Christmas.

Hi, also another attempt from Amanda Turner or Amy, on Gumtree all sounds very convincing then you start seeing this strange payment method of the worst email address's that look so fake,

Caught this one before it went to far,

Tried a scan for 450 for a set or Roland digital Drums

Stay Clear, i could so easily have been burnt if it wasn't for people on here reporting such stuff

just escaped this scam this morning replied to an ad for a bed and matress ,had a gut feeling something was not right when i couldnt  text her back on my mobile and they asked for payment by ukash voucher, googled it
and foud all these testomonies from people that got lured into this despicable scam or nearly, just to say she is still at it on gumtree,(amandaturner78@gmailcom) and i have reported it and will not use gumtree again also told her my feelings towards her in not such a charitable way she probaly doesn,t give a s..t but it felt good it is absoluteyl wicked and awfull and hope karma works for her too,please be aware

the amanda78turner@gmail.com address is also being used for a Table and Chairs in Chester that I recognised as being sold on Ebay!  Again, like many of you, I thought that was very odd as they sold for twice the price, hence they are trying to lure people with a 'too good be be true' bargain.

I doubt they'll give anything away, but I'm playing along for the sport at the moment!

Just been hit by amanda turner. she was selling a next table and chairs, can somebody write back what she does next after taking your contact details?

She ripped my sister off too this Friday gone about a sofa paid money she nearly conned me also she's selling dogs the cow must be making an absolute fortune and Gumtree must get her nicked how someone can do this to people God knows how many aliases she uses properly a man or gang

There is another scam too another name and a yahoo address this one is selling  puppies be careful guys!! heres the details she actually has a num,ber when you call it its like your calling abroad total gon her name is brendalucas333@yahoo.co.uk her number is 07031829655 she reckons sge is selling AFFECTIONATE ***CUTE MALE AND FEMALE*** MALTESE (((PUPPIES))) FOR ^^^YOUR^^^ FAMILLY!!!
£150 London  the photos arent even reall sorry to hear about npeople getting scammed my sister did too hoow people do it betyond me and god knows how many people have been ripped off

just had the same scam
after all the emails i got a bit suspect about them after i couldnt go collect
but left it going upto the voucher part then i googled the email cos wasnt happy with it saying royal-mail@courier-updates.info ( thought royal mail would never use a .info site)
the mesages etc was from a janet brown
and the sale was for an ipad 2 32gb on gumtree
i have reported the listing

Janet brown sent me a massage this morning, tex with no number but with a id:  janet.s.iph, about a powertec gym, janet78brown@gmail.com, why are these scum aloud to place adds, this person or group of people must list all over gumtree so surly there should be away gumtree can spot them...

Saw a canon 7D far too cheap and got contacted also by Janet Brown.  Was too good to be true, glad I checked here

I have also been trying to get hold of Janet. Regards an Ipad advertised. I can't believe its a scam. Luckily no money sent but the person I was looking to buy it for will be gutted!

These people should be prosecuted.

We were al most stung by this Janet person selling a mango wood dining table and chairs on Gumtree.
Smelt a rat and checked it out with Google. I reported the scam to Gumtree and all they did was remove the advert. I suggested they insisted all gumtree users had traceable emails as oppose to hotmail and gmail. It fell on deaf ears - what a surprise!

Would that be the Mango wood dining table and 6 chairs? £170?

I have just nearly fell for this then thought on she was asking for cash only!!! then wants a voucher payment cheeky [***] I was a bit unsure thankfully I've not lost anything x

she nearly had me makes me sick to think they can do thinks like this an get away with it, I was onto her when she sent me the parcel force email then at the end of her email saying about online casinos soon as I read that knew somethin dodgy was goin on the dog!!! lucky enough I've still got my money but can't believe people would do this x
