deborah75regan@gmail.com is at it again. That 'gut feeling' kicked in and I realised after finding this site that I did the correct thing by questioning myself about the strange replies.
Exactly the same SCAM as 'person' states in his posting.
    Gumtree get your act together!!!

Has anyone tried to catch these people out? I just got frauded out of £100 (feel like an idiot) i'm normally a lot more cautious so very angry i let this one slip. unfortunately I only just became aware minutes after they took my money. i'm actually surprised at how ridiculously pissed off I am about this, and so i'm not gunna let them win this easily. i realise its not going to be easy but it would really help if people could list any details they know, every phone number and email address that have been used recently by this scammer. Thanks.

Unfortunately I had hoped that their use of UKash meant that they might have to have a UK based partner to collect the money, but it seems you can redeem codes online whilst abroad. If anyone knows anymore information on this I would really appreciate it, this isn't even about getting my money back at all anymore.

Nearly stumped up £300 for a bass guitar on Gumtree then something made me Google the email address deborah75regan@gmail.com (most likely the too-good-to-be-true price) & here I am.

The Gumtree ad's here: http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/fender-usa- ... itar/1002030884 & a bit more Googling reveals that it's a direct copy of a recent sale on ebay. That's the last time I ever think of buying long distance on Gumtree.

    Be warned...

The phone number and e-mail address matches a purchase I've nearly made on Gumtree, strange she said she had hectic life style an checked her mail daily, tried the phone number an it went straight to orange answering machine,, had delivery information email from worldwide delivery services saying that delivering wud b free to us as it was a perk of her job, asking us to get UKash vouchers to the total amount of £750, reply to the delivery e-mail wiv a photo of the UKAsh voucher an they will deliver, as I've not heard of this form of payment b4 I contacted them UKash an was advised it sounded like a scam, yeah get it together Gumtree it's not like I can afford to lose that amount of money
Gut instinct told me to google her email addy an hear I am, thank chuff I didn't part wiv any cash, close shave

    almost daft
This number linked to a dodgy Brompton cycle advert on Gumtree. Various excuses about inspection/delivery and then payment for item when delivered by courier. Nearly fell for it. Be aware.

Had the same scam from Deborah Regan see her email below...

Digital piano listed in Plymouth / Exeter
got as far as emailing the Ukash voucher and then realised what a fool i had been
contacted Ukash and discovered that they had not been cashed so cancelled them - phew!
got exactly the same parcelforce link - should have spotted the scam from the spelling error "bellow"

I've also received a copy of the payment instructions. They do indeed take payments in cash but not directly, it seems you'll need cash to buy an UKASH voucher from a shop, newsagent or supermarket that has the PAYPOINT sign. The voucher is the receipt you'll need to show to the driver who will scan the barcode and payment is complete :) nothing simpler.

You'll need to scan the UKASH voucher or take a close-up picture using your mobile phone and reply with it to the email from parcelforce. Also keep the voucher for the driver to scan and verify it ( drivers can't receive cash in hand). Here www.paypoint.co.uk you can find the nearest shop and ask for the voucher.
    Hope this helps,
    Deb

I've just been scammed out of £100 for a Laura Ashley wardrobe on Gumtree by Deborah Regan deborah75regan@gmail.com. I have just spoken to the police today and they have confirmed that they are getting hundreds of reports about this UKCASH Voucher scam. I really think that everyone has a case against Gumtree for being so negligent because they have already had complaints about a scam in the name of Deborah Regan and deborah75regan@gmail.con do why are they still allowing the Gumtree account to be live and place adverts selling items under that name ?  I am going to seek legal advice against about this and  I really think everyone else should consider doing the same to get their money back from Gumtree. They have a duty of care to the people who use their website to protect them from online fraud and as they have issued no warnings on their website and are allowing fraudulent adverts to remain listed after it being reported to them as a scam I think everyone definitely has a case against Gumtree. Please let me know if anyone is successful with this and I will also update people with my progress. Thank you.
