I got done by deborah75regan@gmail.com bought a dewalt saw on gumtree that I was watching on eBay and just assumed that the buyer didnt collect it. So they obviously copied and pasted the images over. I thought it was to cheap dont no why it didn't click, got the parcel force emails to, just seemed so kosher really is a clever scam an so easy to fall for £190 Down the drain and doubt I will see the money again. hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

I have just been scammed deborah75regan@gmail.com for £180 on ukash voucher for a upvc summerhouse.  Same old story of busy lifestyle and called into work for whom she can make large deliveries and asked for ukash payment.  Never done it before and usually very cautious with buying through internet sites but parcelforce reference number sent through looked convicing and delivery to address was great due to haslles involved with transpoting large items. Wish i had seen all these comments and knew where they where beforehand.  I have reported it to international fraud line for crime reference number and been informed to notify local police with an email sent to me from gumtree fraud team.  Sent email to channel 5 for dominic and team to add to long list and who knows contact could be made and the rest of the public become aware.  Come on gumtree change your ways, these c*nts have got away with thousands over the past 20 months are so.  Why not change you criteria to advertise - if everybody complained and when i asked thousands off inicent victims where involved with fraud though gumtree, surely you would change or be put out of business. This con was done with so called adress in cheshire.  Do not get caught out once you have read this and let people know all about these cons and gumtree issues of no protection, be very cautious and go to sellers house.  It really p*sses me off when you earn money honestly and these sort of people decide to sit on their ars*s and plot to con inicent people. In all nothing else to say apart from report the right authorities and see what or if anything happens.

Just felt uneasy about it once emails took so long to come through. I'm concerned as they now know my address phone numbers and times I'll be in/out over the next 3 days :-( Flippin scum!!!

I replied to a gumtree ad for a SMEG fridge in Nottingham.  I got a text "It's Lisa from gumtree(SMEG Fridge Freezer), if you have any querstions email me LISA75AUSTIN at GMAIL.COM".  As it came through from lisa..is.iph and not a number I was suspicious so googled it.  Luckily I came across this.  I have reported the Ad to Gumtree and to the police so hopefully something will be done.  I'm getting really fed up with these people, I cant believe their nerve and really puts out genuine sellers.

    lisa austin lisa75austin@gmail.com
this has its roots in belgium and hopefully will be coming to an end soon
    report to action fraud
    report to local police
    report to ukash
get ukash to escalate to COMPLAINT level
if ukash does not give you your moneyback
complain by telephone to the financial ombudsman ukash knows of this MONEYLAUNDERING scam
when/if ukash refuse to give you your money back and the ombudsman investigates it costs ukash £500
you do not even appear before the ombudsman you just send in your complaint
if enough people complain to the ombudsman and the financial services authority then ukash should be held to account for letting this scam continue
lisa austin is the latest name this scammer is using and 20 names before that
    cheers

Unfortunately I didn't check it out, and was hoping to take delivery of this very same furniture for my daughters bedroom in our new home.  Gutted, feel physically sick.

    Sixth sense
Having thought I was quite savvy, I realised today I very nearly could have been in the same boat as these poor peole I have just read about.  It appears there is a theme...Laura Ashley.  I showed interest in a chest of draws, £100, asked details of dimensions etc, but didnt respond.  I also had the same line of here is my number but reception is bad and I am so busy with work (isnt everyone!!!) I will send it to you, perks of the job!  Looking back on it alarm bells did start to ring as the response to emails was quite delayed and they didnt seem too fussed in getting a quick sale.  Also things didnt sit right with the write up of the piece of furniture, they had copied and pasted the description of the item being sold straight from the Laura Ashley catalogue, and the supposed area the item was from didnt match up to where the area in which the item was listed, again when questioned, no response.   When I tried to arrange picking up the item in person, they quickly sent details of shipment and all that I needed was a UKash voucher.  I had never heard of this but thought it was something on the lines of paypal.  I was already to send details when on the bottom of the UKASH receipt it said do not use on ebay or gumtree.  I rang someone who deals with cancelling the UKASH vouchers who confirmed that it was a scam and luck for me they cancelled the voucher and I was able to get my money back.  The scammers used Lisa austin at a gmail account and parcelforce at the couriers.  Sorry to those who got defrauded out of money, it was very convincing, I feel such a fool .  I shall never buy anything from Gumtree again.  Not too sure if they are doing anything about it but from what I can gather its happened to a lot of people! Not good!
