Who is this any ideas?

Multiple calls from this number, telephone just stops ringing when they ring again.  Annoying to say the least!!

Pensions advise service. I called number and you get a message.

I missed a call from this number.  Called and got a message: You were called by the pensions service but were unavailable.  If we still need to contact you, we will call again.

When call connected from this number they said they were a pensions service from leicester but would give no further details as persons they were calling for no longer live at address. Call came at 730pm so presumed spam call!!!

This number is a genuine caller ID for The Pensions Service (DWP)

THEY PHONED ME AND ASKED WHAT I WAS WEARING I TOLD THEM JEANS AND T-SHIRT AND THEY HUNG UP

I COULD HEAR HEAVY BREATHING

contrary to statement made by Marc on 25th nov 08, this number is "NOT" a genuine id number from DWP.. all DWP numbers are either 0800 or, 0845,
if you call the number you get, a recorded message, as stated by Alison Reeve, on 4th Nov 08.. i have no idea what P Enson, is on? as, if you call this number at any time all you get is the message previousely mentioned by Alison...
it is supposed that this could be a scam call or some sales pitch... all DWP callers announce that they are from DWP... ive reported this number as a possible Phising excersise.. be warry if you recieve a call ask for a number to call them back on, if they are indeed from DWP.. they will not have a problem, giving you thier number other than 08000 232076... becarefull.. do NOT give out any personal details to anyone, whom you feel are not who they represent them selves as, ask them to write to you with thier queries as they should have your home address... do not give it to them

How to apply for Pension Credit
There are three ways to apply for Pension Credit:

If you apply for Pension Credit you can now claim Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit at the same time. Call us on freephone 0800 99 1234.

You will need the following details when you phone:

Your National Insurance (NI) number. You can get this from your payslips, tax papers or letters from social security
Local authority details, amounts paid for service charges and/or ground rent
Information about any money you or your partner have coming in, name and address of employer including payroll, staff numbers,
Details of any pension that is not a State Pension, including amounts, who pays the pension and the type of pension
Information about any savings and investments you and/or your partner have in this country or abroad. We may need to see proof of savings, etc
Details of anyone living in your home, their working hours and payment
Full details of where you would like to be paid, name and address of bank account, sort code or roll number and what name(s) the account is in

its dwp and was about my claim for jobseekers so if u dont want to lose ur benfit call them back or better still pick in time

This is definately the dwp Pension Service. Was about a job application.

Called me. Said it was about my Mother who died and I called the pension service (on the 8th February), however this guy (with a Geordie accent) did not know my address, so I put the telephone down on him. It's a scam - never give any details about yourself on the telephone.

This number is definitely Pensions Service - my other half works for them and incoming calls to me show this number.

This number is from the csa in Birkenhead,I dont know why the Message Says it is from the pension service when You ring back, cause it would just confuse You!

It is a DWP number. I had a missed call from this number, but they also left a voicmail message asking me to call them back (on a different number)
It was regarding a job application.

they just called my mum, 9 a pensioner and tried to get her bank account details. When I investigated this number.....it seems to be geniuine however, who in a government office works on a bank holiday?

Not only this, surely if they were there,they would pick up the phone to try again

its defo a DWP number. i work for them & this is the number my team leader called me from when i was off sick

this number called me this morning, hung up when i answered. if it is genuine, why did they do that?

got a call from this number asked me about my pension i said call back rang the pension office the said the didnt call and do not know of this number dont give any information

Called 5th June 2009 to ask if he could calculate if I would be entitled to exra pension credit.
