I won't to know who this is calling me they say they r from working pensions?

i made a claim for universal credit today and it was the dwp calling to confirm my details so nothing to worry about

keeps calling no one answers when you pick up ??

Confirmed with DWP today that this was them calling me....30/12/2016 Telephoned 08007317898

It is a scam. Give no information

A woman called Rachael rang me on this number, claiming to be from DWP. She asked a few questions about benefits l receive, and asked me to confirm my name and address
She was advising me that simple payments would cease, and benefit will be paid into my bank account.
I refused to give my bank information, so she gave me a number to ring her back 0800 1690236.
this number seems to be genuine.

Genuine call from Pensions Service regarding in my case, state pension.

my dad recieved a call from this number and the woman just said she was ringing from dwp n just asked him if he had power of attourney over *********.which he does and said yes but the woman never asked him any identity questions to confirm who he was or anything.once he said yes she asked appointee or full power of attourney which he sed full power and she just hung up.if its genuine then someone needs teaching properly about security etc....

wish they would stop calling me early hours of day and evening when I answer the phone no one there and line goes dead have told who ever is there to f++++ off but still it rings again

If this is a genuine DWP caller why are they unable to leave a message of any type? To keep calling is a method used by scammers so don't replicate their methods. Some proper training would help ,unless of course they are scammers using technology to give a false number.

this is dwp I spoke to them and they wanted to confirm that I had tried to update information,  I HAD NOT CALLED THEM, it turns out someone tried to alter bank accounts but dwp knew  it couldn't be me because the caller was too young. I then phoned a different number which was on letter from dwp. If you try to call above number a recording says we called you earlier and will call you back if we need to speak to you.

So they call on a Saturday morning?

it’s 100% a scam

if you give them the information re your bank that they ask for you have a very empty bank account...it’s a scam...the D w P are already paying you so they already have your bank information ...don’t be fooled
