Been getting calls from these people for about 3 months now, at least twice a day. So annoying.  I'm going into the Vodafone shop at the weekend to complain as it's clearly them who passed my number on.

I've been called by this company pretending to be O2 a number of times. I have actually asked them to take my name off their database more than once. The last time I did so the girl I spoke to said that she would. However, since then I've been called at least twice a day by an automated message. I don't bother to listen to it all but I guess it wants me to call it back. I don't see why I should. I have now registered with telephone preference service. Maybe that will help. I've also stored the number in my 'number screening' in my mobile so at least the phone doesn't ring when they call. (I still get the 'missed call' message though.)

Thing is, I don't know why O2 are bothering to employ these people. My message to O2 is simple: because you use these people, I wouldn't use your company even if you were the only mobile phone supplier in the UK. Anyone know the O2 MD's name and address so I can tell him in person?

I am glad I have found it is O2. We were about to take a contract out for two phones with them - I will not buy from any company who markets their products in this way,

Only upgraded with O2 last night, this number made 3 attempts to call me at work. Tried to call back to establish who it was, couldn't get through.

They keep calling me in work. They are from O2 i made the mistake of calling them back to see who it was and they have probably charged me a fortune as I rang back from my mobile. They are a waste of time and I just keep hanging up on them when they call. DON'T ANSWER!! They are only trying to get money off you any which way they can!!

This number has driven me crazy for the past two weeks - 3 times a day, even when im cutting them off. Getting to point where im dreading hearing phone go off! Im so glad i found this site for an explanation! I have now registered with the Telephone Preference Service (which is free) to stop unwanted marketing calls. I have been on a contract with O2 for over 6 years and have never had anything but helpful and friendly service. This nuisance company  is a scam!

They rang me once,whilst i was in hospital and i kinda said this wasnt the time and im happy with orange before cutting off, now, about 4 months later, they ring me every day. I just cut off or put straight to answer phone. Thanks for the number and email address may try contacting them later to stop it :)

Keeps calling but hangs up as soon as you answer

The number just called me and asked to speak to the person who deals with the phones in the business.  I said something like 'Oh, no, its OK we don't want to change our phones' and this guy with a strong irish accent immediately 'answered back' and sounded agressive saying something like: I wasn't asking you to change your phones.  So I said: OK well, we don't take unsolicited calls here.  To which he replied VERY aggressively - 'you are being very ignorant' and put the phone down.  
Intrusive, aggressive and unpleasant.  Whoever this is (company and person) they need to change their 'sales' techniques ... and also I would suggest, their salesman!!

Apparently the reason ppl get cut off as soon as you answer it is cuz at the same time as the phone call to you, they are calling about 20 other people, and the first person to answer from them 20 get to speak to the company. This is there way of getting alot of people at the same time and they can keep your phone number in record. Also it saves them money, as they are not getting much from customers!! Do not go with them!! THEY ARE A SCAM!!

I have been having calls from this number during my work hours and have never answered it as it is an 0800 number!  how annoying!

Had same problem as everyone else on here, this number keeps on calling me and fortunately i keep missing the call, sounds like they're really annoying so wont be answering in the future either!!

I got a call from this number, luckily i missed it, but i'm not on o2 im on orange

I'm on T-Mobile and also get calls from this number... short of calling the mobile phone operator there is not much that can be done... just be cautious that when you call them back the cost of the call me be exttortionate.

I also keep getting called by this number and it is doing my head in as if I do answer the call there is nobody there!!!!

I keep getting called by this number too. They don't leave a message. I'll answer the call next time...should be an interesting conversation as I work for Vodafone!!
